  1. I have been on/off fin/min over the past few years, but have stuck to it pretty much everyday since 2020. I believe it's helping me hold onto hair that is miniaturizing with some minor regrowth in temples. However, they dont appear to be turning thick. I went for a consultation back in Dec and was told that an FUT procedure can extract 3k grafts. The proposed plan was to pack the front and the mid scalp with a future operation addressing the crown. The doctor mentioned that he would plant the grafts next to miniaturized hairs just in the miniaturized hairs die out in the future. My question to members on this forum: For surface areas that seem pretty packed in terms of miniaturized hairs taking up space naturally... 1. Is it the right decision to insert more grafts between hairs that are miniaturizing based on my pics below? 2. If so, will it look like diffused hair if i grow out my hair longer? 3. Technically speaking, in the recipient area, what is the likelihood of the doctor removing hairs by accident? The best analogy I can think of is a parking lot where its packed mostly with old cars, a few new cars around the lot, and some empty spots. And we try to squeeze some new cars from the back into spaces between old cars where there isn't official parking space.
  2. @Pauls Were you on finasteride/pumpkin seed oil capsules before the HT? I spent a year taking pumpkin seed oil capsules and then switched to finasteride a year later after not seeing much results. Im curious how much pumpkin seed oil capsules help besides just finasteride alone
  3. @Mike V that looks amazing! Just saw some older comments on this post so I had two questions. 1. Why type of scalp elasticity massages did you do before your first FUT? Was that recommended by the doctor? 2. When you say he took out the old scar and got the strip from the same area, does that mean he cut open the scar and got follicles underneath it?
  4. @Mike V looks great! What is your haircare regimen? Are you taking anything oral/topical?
  5. @MikeVthat looks amazing. Im having a consultation with him this Friday. I am curious about the hairline procedure you have done. What is your perspective on your hairline as the years go on since transplanted hairs stay in place? Would it look weird in your 50s+?
  6. I am a 34 YO asian male and considering getting a FUT transplant. Over the past decade I have taken different shampoos, vitamins, and over the past year sticking to 1mg of fin a day/ rogaine foam 2x a day. I feel that I have gained minor minor regrowith in the temple areas but overall not much improvement. Now I am considering a hair transplant with Dr. Bloxham in NY and had a few questions. 1. Does my donor area look good for a FUT procedure? If so, what is the graft estimate? 2. How likely is it to get my hair coverage/density back to my younger years (2010-2014)? 3. If I can get even back to my 2018 pictures, I would be happy. But because I like my sides faded, how likely is it that I can hide a FUT scar? Is it a good idea to get SMP on the scar? 4. My hair grows unevenly as thick/weak hairs are scattered overall, as seen in the Dec 2020 pics. Will this be an issue even after a HT procedure? Since I assume hair cannot be transplanted unless it is a bald area? 5. My experience on Fin this year hasn't been too bad. The major thing i notice is a weaker load, but other than that I feel like i can live with it. If i get a HT procedure, is it possible to stop fin and maybe switch to a DHT blocker with combination of hair massages?
