  1. 12 month update Hi guys I’m a bit late for the 12 months but it’s here, I’m not gonna sugar coat it the result is disappointing, with fibers it looks good without it looks bad lacks density, the shape of the hairline is good and like the design if all 2k grafts would’ve grown in then it would’ve been a home run for me It sucks that after a reading the forums so many years and babying the hair as it was growing resulted in this I took care of it all the time during the recovery but sometimes results don’t go the way you plan there are discussions with Dr M on correcting the result and adding the density it should’ve had and I respect the fact that I didn’t have to go to him about the result this forum was what he saw and he knew it wasn’t up to par and I can only respect the fact that he’s reached out to make it right. anyways here are the pictures, the right side which was my weaker side to begin with is the weakest the left is a bit weak also in patches, with some hair fibers and cleverness of hairstyles I can get away with a great head of hair so much so that people compliment my hair
  2. Yes I’m addition to getting the hair transplant improved I will ask for SMP on the current donor and ask if they can extract from higher so that it’s hidden
  3. The sides don’t look too bad just a bit noticeable hair has fibers in the temples
  4. Agreed I just hope dr pitella trials go more mainstream so that donor scars are a thing of the past! I like getting fades and now it seems I can’t anymore unfortunately I think the contrast is high because others have been able to still get it and it’s not noticeable but mine are very noticeable
  5. How low can I go? Sometimes other ppl get lucky and you can’t see the scars as much guess I don’t scar as good
  6. Hi I was wondering if anyone on this forum knew of some good SMP artists my fue scars are very visible and want to get them covered up so that I can feel confident cutting my hair in a fade again thanks!
  7. I want these hidden though haha need to find a good smp artist in California my barber asked about it today just told him I got work done on hairline
  8. I would say that I probably need another 1000 grafts to fill in the area around the hairline and temples
  9. @mustang I did not have a limited budget I spent 10k on this procedure and signed that he could take more of needed this result is not acceptable and steps are being taken behind the scenes to correct it there should’ve been more density for nearly 2k grafts full stop I did not want to do this in 2 steps and am a bit hesitant to go back again I was looking for a full result the first time around there wasn’t a 2 stage plan but I also know things happen and at least he’s reached out and agreed this wasn’t a good result
  10. Agreed when I got for the next top up I’m going to hope it’s only a day and also that he gets the grafts from higher
  11. I’m not as pessimistic as most everything happens for a reason I don’t feel botched the density isn’t where it should be but I’m already working with the doctor to make it right and find a solution I do agree that next time I would want my grafts pulled from higher on my donor if possible
  12. 11 month update Time has flown by the hair that has grown has started to get to the length of the native hair I still use fibers often but very little there are some light spots on the hairline especially on the corners but they can be fixed later with a few hundred grafts donor look great at a 1 guard
  13. 10 month update hey guys here’s my 10 month update nothing much to report hoping for more density to show through soon
  14. Yea and I don’t plan on doing any more surgeries afterwards I just got unlucky but this should’ve been a one and done
  15. Yes I suppose those doctors mentioned would def be on my list dr couto too since wait time isn’t the issue
  16. I try too, the lighter the better the overall shape of the hairline is good just the density isn’t
  17. No don’t have the budget for it right now and although I do agree that the wait times might coincide with when I want to do another surgery hair fibers will have to do for now
  18. Thank you for the response Dr M, I think I am just one of unlucky few that have <90% growth some of the grafts for some reason didn’t survive I did follow all guidelines I will be emailing you for a follow up to discuss this further thanks
