  1. Hi .. im 23years old guy who suffered and still suffering from hair loss at a young age . I had my first HT at 19 years old in turkey .. i made that choice wich I regret definitely because i was at a very young age and all guys around me having this nice thick hair

so as years gone by . Lately i’ve been experiencing hair loss .. I wasn’t on drugs .. so i kept loosing hair so I decided to go to another HT surgery and that’s when I discovered this fourm and actually i have a post when i was asking for help or guidance to get a HT and asking for a good surgeon so everyone actually advised me against it .. I wasn’t really happy because im young and I really need that hair at this point in my life . So I decided so hop on drugs for 8 months and see what’s going on .. it’s been 3 months and i dont know I feel like it has been some improvement

I’ll show pictures now . This is temple and hair line

    Before And after pictures:

i‘Ll keep posting updates .. i thank you guys for advising me against a HT

“ i might go to one if things didn’t really improved “ but i think we will have to wait to see

so I guess the takeaway here is to exhaust different options first ! Try minox and fin

    and see what happens .

I think you responded really good to meds. I dont think you had a vellus hair experience, but rather gained back what you actually lost in the 2 year period.  With vellus hairs, it takes a long time to convert (if any) to stronger hairs. In this case, the hairs are more like your native hairs and they grew out as such and did so quickly.  It is most likely because you acted quick and got on a finasteride and rogaine regimen.

definite improvement and it will probably get better as time goes on.  Keep a good diet and as long as you continue to respond well to meds, you should be ok.

on another note, it doesn’t hurt to get Vitamin D levels checked out in your blood. If you are borderline or low on vitamin d for your age group, that can also cause you to shed hairs or thing them out.  If that is the case, a doctor may recommend taking vitamin d3 and at a certain amount to keep everything healthier.

    Thank you for your feedback!!

i hope things become better .. regarding the vitamin d , i dont think in have a deficiency in any kind of vitamins because I literally eat everything !!

Looks like there is growth but vellus is really fine light colored hair.  Your hairs were dark from the beginning?  If you lost that hair within 2-3 years, possibility is you grew it back.  The longer time goes by without intervention and meds, the more it can be lost forever.

What percentage are you using?  Are you applying twice a day?

Yes i’ve lost hair since 2 years actually or less ..

my hair got darker and i grew the temple . My temple point wasnt there when i started and now its grown and thick

i apply 2 times minox and finasteride

    here is a sample

I'm assuming you mean the little hairs like the ones I've circled here. You can see similar ones down on your forehead, those are just little vellus hairs, we have them all over our body, minoxidil will thicken some of those up a bit and make them more visible, but they won't grow out long like your scalp hair.

And that one pretty strong hair growing out of the higher up mole made me think of this recent topic started by our moderator, pretty funny pic in the first post. :D

    What do you think ?
