  1. I use both. I have quite a bit of diffuse thinning, though. If I felt I could get away with dropping the Minoxidil, I would in a heartbeat. It's annoying and irritates my scalp.

Just dump it If you aren't even sure you're getting a noticeable benefit.

Usually you need to take finasteride 1mg daily for 1 year to assess fully if it's working or not.

Having said that, I think starting dutasteride should be fine. It's a LOT more potent than finasteride so I usually start my patients off on 0.5mg daily. I would also use topical minoxidil.

    Good luck

You start patients off at 0.5mg daily of Dutasteride? What dose do you work up to?

Hi, Yes this is 100% MPB, I am heading exactly like the rest of my family members and brother,  RU-58841 is like Rogaine?

RU-58841 is an an extremely potent topical anti-androgen designed to have poor systemic absorption. It never went through all the FDA approval trials, so it's considered (at least in the US) a research chemical.

You Tube channels "More Plates More Dates" and "Kevin Mann" have used RU-58841 with success, as have many bodybuilders who are using extremely hair damaging substances which bypass the normal pathways of combating hair loss.

There's also Breezula, another topical anti-androgen, about to get a mainstream release on the market soon. Guys have been purchasing this under its research name (CB-03-01) for years.

I'm not recommending you run out and smear this stuff all over your head. I'm just making a suggestion toward something that might be worth investigating and drawing your own conclusions about.

Good luck with anything you decide.

Do they exist? For medical reasons I can't do min or fin. In fact to the former, I can't do any vasodilators.

Nizoral has been a godsend. It really, really slowed my loss.

But yeah, can't do the other two of the trinity :).

    So, what do you suggest?

Dermarolling and all manner of essential oils have done jack diddly.

I was thinking of trying iRestore but need to save up the funds.

    Thanks!!!

Maybe ru58841 if you're feeling experimental?

I personally think the laser caps are a huge waste of money.

What are your thoughts on 3112 grafts taken out from donor. Why do you think its over harvesting? Thanks

I'm no expert, but, just like anyone else, I can compare your donor area to similar cases that have been shown on these forums. Your hair/skin contrast might reveal more of the scarring than someone who has light skin/light hair, but your donor area looks rough for the amount of grafts taken, at least to me. Also, you said you had very thick donor hair. Why would 3000 grafts make it look as if it was taken to the limit?

It also seems like you had some concerns about your procedure that you reported in the beginning of your thread that now might be more relevant in hindsight.

I’d say there’s still some growth to come up until 9 or 10 months but to get to where you want to be you might require a touch up. I’m guessing the docs will likely do this for you free of charge since they are trying to make a name for themselves and seem pretty ethical. You may have to cover flights tho. How are your temple points? Is one still weaker? Would be good to know what they think went wrong as well. Which package did you choose and which doctor did the extractions?

I'd be wary of letting them do a "touch up" if they didn't treat his donor area respectfully the first time.

  7. Thank you for being open about your HT experience. I think it takes balls to continue documenting something like this, even when the results appear to be disappointing. I followed you from the beginning, and you seem like a patient and optimistic guy. Please don't get discouraged.

It does seem like something went wrong with your procedure, though. Your poor growth could maybe (emphasis on "maybe") be attributed to physiology, not taking finasteride, and all the other reasons that are generally given, but why does your donor look patchy and over-harvested? That seems a little harder to make excuses for.

You are only 20 years old which is very young. You should focus on a healthy lifestyle: good diet, sufficient sleep, stress management, physical activities and avoiding harsh chemicals on the hair. You can also keep taking the hair specific multivitamins. Don't leave Minoxidil abruptly when you are using it. It has withdrawel effects where you'll feel more hair fall. You can also talk to your doctor if you can take Finasteride if it is infact the onset of baldness. You can prevent baldness from taking away your hair.

Most of all, enjoy your 20s. Don't worry about it a lot.

    Wish you the best.

Sorry, but from a hairloss perspective, I don't think healthy lifestyle makes a bit of difference. Pro athletes lose their hair all the time, while totally inactive slugs can keep heads of hair like Elvis for life. Genetics aren't fair, plain and simple.

Yeah the day I posted this thread I had seen 3 medical professionals for my hair situation. First was my personal doctor he’s a male so I felt his insight would be better than most but he did say that my hair is still in a good condition rather than other progressing hair losses that was a 2 years ago. He referred me to a hair specialist to examine my scalp to diagnosis which he also stated that it was Androgenic alopecia(MPB). Then I went to a dermatologist the beginning of the year to perform a scalp biopsy to confirm that my hairloss was TE which was stress induced & accelerated my hair loss. So I say I’ve had enough opinions on my condition I think including you guys you’ve been a big help I appreciate the wisdom guys honestly means alot🙏

So I’ll take the advice and start investing into topical solutions since that seems best for me.

With the level of stress you're currently going through, and how badly it seems to be affecting you, maybe it would be worth it to give Finasteride a shot. Minoxidil doesn't actually address the underlying mechanism of hairloss.

I heard about eugenix but thought i would go for BHT on my 4th procedure if needed.  I'll check them out too.  Would you consider Dr Ferreira a higher quality surgeon than dr. bansal though?

I've been in contact with Rolandas and been following his story.  He's the reason why i started consulting with Dr. Ferreira.  I wish more of his patients shared their results but also considering he works at Dr. Lorenzo's clinic also reflects his skill and talent.  Thank you for your suggestions.

I believe the only thing that reflects a HT surgeon's skill and talent are his visible final results. Dr. Ferreira barely has any final results shown anywhere. I think that's pretty concerning, especially since there are people claiming he's "world class." How would they know?

There are lots of cases from him in the spanish forum. Well he is good, but in my opinion not like pekiner, pekiner's hairlines are crazy.  Not sure about keser and hlc, I didnt research enough about them.

Not from recuperarelpelo. They only have a couple of unfinished cases by Dr. Ferreira, and are pretty hesitant to recommend him until more show up. Do you know of another forum with more of Ferreira's results?
