@Bax Ty for that! I feel 100 times better now, I sort of knew it was normal but then I began to worry and panicked. 😅 I'll do my best to remain calm and trust the process.

Of course! My pleasure :). Emotions are going to be high because this is such an exciting journey to go through. Rest assure, you are only at the beginning of this journey. Ride the waves and the ups and downs, and be excited for how this is going to alter your appearance and confidence!

Hi all. Mini update. 5 Days post op, seeing some cracks appearing around the implanted area, telling myself this normal and nothing to worry about........ looks like there is no hair/grafts where the cracks are. Ended up smoking 5 cigarettes today after quitting for 10 days. have now threw them down the toilet and won't allow myself to buy more.

Can anyone reassure me that this is normal before I contact the surgeon? I have looked into the cracking phenomenon and it does seem to be a common thing but my default emotion is to worry.

    Thanks in advance!

Would love to hear your thoughts @Melvin-Moderator

The cracks around the recipient area are completely normal! If you look at my photo from day 4, it looks very similar. Also, you’re only going to see a small proportion of the the hair/grafts right now because the scab is thick. Once you’re able to start massaging them out, then you’ll start to see the whole hair follicle.

As for the smoking, please make sure you do not smoke anymore, especially in the early phase. This is a very crucial time right now for the grafts to take and smoking and excessive alcohol consumption has been known to decrease blood flow and therefore, increase healing time.

Take a breath, remain calm, and be patient with yourself. This process takes time and the more compliant you are to your post-op care, the better the result will be. We are always here to help :)

Hey Bax, thank you! Funny you should be the first person to comment because it was your post that really inspired me to go with Cinik. You've had such a good result I just wish mine will be as good.

You’re results are going to look incredible, man! I have no doubt in my mind. Patience is the name of the game and all of us have gone through (and continue to go through it). There will be ups and downs, but the end result is going to be fantastic, even if you need to have a second procedure down the road

Beautiful work and one of the reasons why I went with Cinik. I hope you continue to see amazing results and I'm so grateful you shared your experience with us all here.

Thank you so much, man! That means so much! I’m happy my experience has been able to help in your process in your hair restoration journey!

Excited to see how your results play out!

5 months to the day. Patience...

Still the same as last month, wish I had more progress to show. The hairline at the temples is so thin, it only looks good in very low light. I don't know what to think, I've seen others describe this hair restoration process as a roller coaster and I would say that sums it up perfectly. Some days I look at it, and think, it's definitely coming in, and then others I think it's not gonna be a good outcome...

Happy to hear any thoughts on the progress. I am pleasantly surprised by the progress in the crown, and overall it's nice to actually have a hairline now, albeit thin.

I've tried to zoom in as closely as possible on the hairline in the temples (3rd photo). If you look closely you can see many fine and colourless hairs coming in. Are these guaranteed to mature and thicken into healthy scalp hair? It's hard to know why my progress is slow. Those fine hairs are the only thing giving me hope right now.

Oh and (praise be) I am getting a haircut on Friday - barbers only opened here on 4th July so that's the earliest I could get in to see my usual guy. I am hopeful that a fresh, shorter cut might improve the look, so that I am not exposing the transplanted area so much. Not exactly the dream ticket at 5 months, to be looking for ways to hide the work, but that's my reality.

    Great update, man!

It’s challenging because you are seeing yourself everyday and looking for small changes (which of course is the hardest part!). But rest assure, it looks great right now and you’re still ahead of the curve in terms of what people should normally expect.

Those small hairs that are sprouting will continually grow and mature and gain more follicle pigmentation and therefore create a thicker and fuller appearance.

It is still an impressive result and impeccable work done by the surgeon! I have a feeling that month 6 is where things are really going to take off! And the haircut is going to clean it up nicely!

sorry my english, but i use the google translator, which you know is not so reliable.  I wanted to say that from now on everything will be easier, you will see your hair sprout and it will be beautiful.

No worries, man! That’s why I didn’t want to assume the worst because sometimes things get lost in translation!

Thank you for your kind words!

I'm not sure what the negativity is aimed at, this looks fantastic for 4 months, and will only get better!

Thanks for the encouragement and kind words, man! I appreciate it! I’m wondering if Egy made a typo. Either way, I’m super jacked and nothing can change that! Excited to see where the next month takes me!

  9. Gentlemen! This is month 4!

I am feeling such an overwhelming feeling of happiness and excitement while writing this update today! Today was the first day that I was allowed to style my hair after getting a fresh cut. When I looked in the mirror, I saw a completely changed man.

Being able to see the changes that have happened in 4 short months was nothing short of extraordinary. I am beyond happy with how things look right now and am excited to see where the next few months will take me!

I just have to say that this has been such a life-altering experience and I am beyond happy that I decided to take the plunge and have this procedure done. Who knew something as simple as hair could play such a huge role in our confidence!

I want to thank this network for always being so supportive and informative. I look forward to continuing with my monthly updates. Just had to say how happy I am right now 😭!

    4 months today boys

I am happy with the hairline design, now I have grown my hair a bit and I can see the outline of it. In fact I think it’s perfect 👌

Something is definitely happening which is great! I have to be honest though and say I am a bit concerned with the growth at this stage.

In favourable lighting it looks good, and from a distance too. But when you see it in harsh light you can see how thin the hair is, particularly right on the hairline. Compared to some guys at 4 months the growth is disappointing. Hopefully I am just a slow grower and things will improve at this crucial time between 4 and 6 months. There are plenty of fine hairs coming through but there should be more to come because the recipient area on the hairline got 50 grafts per cm2.

I know it’s early in the process but it’s hard not to compare with others at this stage who went on to have killer results!

On the plus side the crown has thickened nicely and I hope this continues so I can “close the sunroof”

Hey man! Congratulations, it really seems like it’s coming in nicely so far for the four-month mark! The hairline design is also very nice and natural looking 👌🏼

I understand where you’re coming from and desire you have to experience the fuller appearance. Without a doubt, it will come and will match the same density you have everywhere else on your head. 4-6 months is where most guys really experience the blooming phase and when exponential growth sky rockets!

Give it some more time, you look so great and you’re still early on in the game.

I’m saying all of this to myself as much as I am to you, so you’re in good company! Looking forward to seeing what month 5 looks like!!

  11. So just got my haircut today and wanted to share the end result!

Before my hair transplant, I would have the back and sides cut to a 1-length and then keep the top long. Decided to get the back and sides cut short again and to just leave the top so that it can grow out more. I can honestly say I am so impressed by how untouched the donor area looks, especially with how short it is!

Fingers crossed I can start styling it next month!

He is the coordinator of Italian patients, up to 4 months the photos I sent them to him and then he sent them to the clinic, from the fifth month onwards I was told to send them directly to the clinic via a whatsapp number, they answered me only when  I sent those in 5 months, then no more, I don't know.  🤷🏻

Hmmmm, that’s really frustrating! I’m sorry to hear that! Would it be worth it if I gave you the number of my rep to see if she could help you out? I know she’s a different rep, but maybe she could see why your photos haven’t been going through.

Let me know and I will private message you the number :)

  13. 16 hours ago, Egy said:

@Bax can I ask you if they continued to answer you even during the closing period of the clinic because of the coronavirus?  Because I sent my photos on April 12 (six months after the operation) but I never received any response from them, and this is one of the things that I didn't like very much about the clinic.

Hey man! I’ve had consistent communication from them with less than 24 wait time, which I was impressed with given the time difference!

Who is your rep? I have Seda and she is awesome and very quick to respond!

Looking good Bax, I certainly can’t believe your donor area as It looks like it hasn’t been touched. Roll on the UK travel quarantine being lifted and I’m on my way myself to see Dr Cinik.

Thank you! Right!? I was certain there was going to be at least some noticeable loss of density in that area after things had grown in. So I’ve been pleasantly surprised, to say the least!

And yeah man! You will not regret! And another side note, the post-op monthly check-ups have still been happening consistently and they are always so kind and professional! Looking forward to seeing how your journey goes!

I am Impressed with this Drs results. Been away from the forum for a few years and only just started to hear from this clinic.

Your early growth is good and I think your going to have a outstanding result.

Thank you so much! I’ve said it once and I’ll say it a million times over, but I have been so mind blown by this entire process. At this point, I’m noticing the changes by the week, which is fantastic!

Looking forward to seeing how the end result turns out!
