  1. I will post a weblog every 4 days or until it becomes boring looking/shed, and then one month intervals.
  2. I suppose since my hair has always been long, aside with the fact that I have another big scar on my head from an accident, I really didnt mind, However the scar is healing very well. He told me close to invisible after 4 months or so. Check out my pics to see what I mean. Good luck
  3. Yes.. The more the hair has grown so far, the more clear I can see the way the hairs have been angled. Although it may be too early to tell, it just seems remarkably natural. I will put some 12-14 day Post op pics up in next day or so.
  4. Closing on almost 2 weeks Post Op and looks like all grafted hairs are growing. I am just getting used to it. I hope they dont fall out, it looks so good. It looks so natural. I love it. Anyone here never experience shock loss?
  5. Thank you. Yes I figured out how to make a profile and have several more pictures and details on hair count etc. take a look. Kind Regards PS its been exactly 10 days and so far nothing has shed. Its growing as if I just buzzed that part of the hair with a small trimmer. I do anticipate it to fall out when its ready to shed however.
  6. Canada and other countries are usually very nice. Its the American customs agents who seem to be very ridiculous. Always have a hard time with them, and telling them the reason for your visit was just 'Cosmetic Surgery' isnt enough to some of them. Honestly, the American customs have a certain cockiness which has spread like disease and while it sometimes works to catch drug runners, it is very upsetting and they make INNOCENT people feel like they did something wrong. Thats my opinion.
  7. So far nobody noticed at work. I work in a close environment with others that know me well. I think one of them may have noticed something I caught starring but all he said was "You forgot your brush at home?" I replied yes happily.. I have covered any grafts except of course for the little bit below where I part it, but you cannot tell unless very close.
  8. Yeah, Victory Monument station, 2 stops away, you can either stay at Century Park Hotel, which is lovely, and also ALL Seasons. I stayed at both, both very nice. Century Park being a bit more upscale with pool and nicer restaurant. Taxi fare is fair at about US 3 to get to DR. Path.
  9. Wow thats great! You just described everything I had previously mentioned about him and his staff. I probably ran into you while I was there for initial consultation around 17th. Post pictures let us know how its coming out.
  10. Yes. Also if you decide 12-14 months later to add more density, that can always be achieved.
  11. No, on the contrary. I did not ask for a lower hairline, however, it would have just worked well given my donor supply and the shape I was after. The temples were the priority as far as I was concerned. I think you should definitely take doctors advice on that. Get at least 3 doctors opinions. Thats what I did.
  12. Thank you. It will depend when you get there if you chose to have 40 or 50 cc of hair per graft. I got 40, which they say is sufficient. At least im hoping. 50 is much more dense, and costlier, and depends on your donor area, and of course there is always the fact that the more densely packed, the less survival rate of a graft is. The most ever usually done is 60. All of the above was told to me by Dr. Path's assistant. Please make a web blog once you go, im curious to see how it works out for you. Cheers
  13. Check out my web blog for pics and advice. I just had surgery with Dr. Path last week.
  14. Hi Again guys, I am glad I can help with advice. Luckily my friend helped bring me to hotel, however you can do it by yourself no problem. Also my friend took daily pics of my scar and grafts. Again, you can do it yourself no issue. Stay at the All Seasons Hotel. The nearest stop is walking distance on the BTS Bangkok skytrain called 'Victory Monument Station'. I really liked the hotel, it cost me the equivelent of about 500 AUS for 2 weeks time. And its only 2 short skytrain stations away. All Walking distance. Or about US 6, AUS 5 in taxi fare..At the very most. So very cheap. I was running late on surgery day and took a motorbike taxi and it cost me even less, and got me there quicker. Make sure you hold on tight.!! The shaving was minimal to null. He only shaved very small sections where it was thinning to add density, and honestly 1 day after surgery, I have several pictures of doing activities and you cannot even tell I had a hair transplant. (My hair is usually pulled back in pony tail) My previous hair covered well. It just looked like I was wearing a headband for the sport of it. So it really all worked out. I am back in my country now, my head looks great, I just showed a friend of mine, she was very skeptical about the whole process, but after seeing it in person she is very positive it will come out well. If anyone has any more questions just let me know and I will be happy to help. I will post more pictures shortly.
  15. Thank you very much. I will update more pictures as time progresses. Kind Regards
  16. WB280, Yes I think its wise to take special care, as I have, and especially for first 2 days. But I am unable to sit in a hotel room. Its hard enough for me not to do my normal exercises(running, tennis). Anyways, Elephant riding was fun today. I suppose I will add pictures right after I post this so you can see what a lovely hairline Dr. Pathomvanich had created. Kind Regards
  17. Thanks I had fun tonite. I played some songs, didnt really hurt, but I took it easy because I still have stitches in. Saturday I get stitches taken out and will add all the pre op, and post opt pics from day 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 of surgery. Its a bit surreal how its already growing-I noticed, I know it will fall out soon, and I understand that is how it works, so I am not worried. Its been 4 days and I am still wearing headband because I noticed some mild swelling above it, and the nurse I saw earlier in Path's office told me to keep wearing it for another day or so until it subsides. On another note, this Pad Thai is good!
  18. Sorry that I havent added pics yet. I will in next day or so, still really busy. I am going out to sing and play guitar tonite. I know I had a hair transplant just a few days ago, but I feel fine. I took pics every day since the surgery Monday, and even the scar is almost invisible and I still have stiches in my head!! Doctor said it should be invisible in 4 months or so..
  19. Yes, I will post pics really soon. I am too busy having fun in Thailand at moment. I will most certainly come back soon because I have some lovely friends from England that live here now. The stitches wont be taken out until another 4 days or so. Very little pain. I wear my hair very long, past my shoulders, so nobody would even think that I got a hair transplant because I have hidden it so well for several years. Ok, I am about to wash my hair for the very first time by myself with baby-shampoo. Wish me luck!
  20. I have been reading these forums for years now and I have never signed up until just a few minutes ago. First I want to thank everyone who has offered their opinions and also Bill, I honestly dont know how he can keep up with every discussion, he must have an iPhone App for this site! Yesterday I went in to Doctor Pathomvanich and he and his staff were very lovely. I was a bit scared before because I have never gotten surgery, but everyone was gentle and it really went by fast. I have always had receded temples since I was about 15, im 25 now, they havent changed much at all since, so I had lots of donor hair thankfully. I forget the exact number but I believe it was about 2800 grafts and I just came back from the post opt shampooing. I am now wearing a headband only to prevent swelling, however I have no swelling, and no pain. The only pain I had was the first night after surgery. Thank Buddha for the Valiums! I really cannot say enough good things about Dr. Path, he is a great doctor and I believe he is an artist when it comes to drawing hairlines. I know that its too early to tell what will become of my transplant as of now, but I am optimistic and will remain positive that it will achieve the outcome that I am looking for. Just to add some background, I have seen 3 top NYC hair restoration experts and finally decided on Path. I hope my post can help some of the people out there who are looking to have their hair done. I will add pictures soon, I want to remain anonymous so I will have to blur out my face and eyes and all that other stuff when I have time.
