Been on Dutasteride (Dutas) for about 4 months, no more hair loss and slight re-growth on temple but not noticeable to anyone else. Started on 2.5mg then 1 mg the next day 0.5mg a day after that for 1 month and now im on 0.5mg a week due to having very little money to afford it but still no hairloss since i started far as i can tell. Im only a norwood 2 and only on one side so my dosage is basically to stop anymore loss regrowth is not a big issue for me and side effect are only watery semen.

Hi, i started using Dutasteride about 4 months ago and so far so good, i started with a first dose of 2.5mg followed by 1mg the nexy day then 0.5mg a day for roughly a month to top up my system(maybe the occasional extra one for luck lol), my hair loss has stopped with slight re-growth so far on temples but nothing major. I am now on just 0.5mg a week (except for 4 days i took 1 a day) and it so far hasn't caused me any problems, i will admit if i could afford more than that i probably would take more but for the moment i have just slight stage 2 norwood and only on one side and very little money to buy in a lot of Dutasteride. Basically if you have very little hair-loss so far like me and you main worry is just stopping the hair-loss you can afford to take less..oh yes im on Nizoral shampoos too but very infrequent and i honestly doubt it has much of an effect for me with hair-loss but does keep the dandruff at bay. Hi, i read up a lot before i decided to start Dutasteride myself and am on a very low dose of 1 a week and my hair loss has stopped, i just thought id mention i've come across a few posts about side effects and some seem to experience sides on say propecia but not the other dutasteride and vice versa. Possibly they work differently but i honestly couldn't say why that is. I understand the concerns over long term effects, that and just plain not being able to afford a lot has me on 1 a week with the only side effect so far being more watery semen.
