@Helios Thanks for the reassurance on the hairline density stuff. It’s good to know this is normal and all part of the process.

Having done no-shave with my last two surgeries this is the first time I’ve gotten to see the progress up close and had the chance to over analyze it. :)

Yes you can expect you’ll analyse and panic over anything that doesn’t look “normal” in the beginning. Aside from the scab you mentioned everything else is looking very good and on track.

  2. At ten days post the donor area is looking very good indeed. I wouldn’t worry about some areas looking less dense than others as it’s normal to panic that some areas are thinner than others. I went through this myself on both surgeries and was panicking about some areas but turned out fine.

the scab is located to only one area so I would simply keep contact with the clinic and follow instructions. Keep us updated.

I need to tell you my story before bauman calls you crying like he did with bill. bill banned me afterwards.  I had my first HT in the 90s with no results but fortunately minimal scarring. I had 3 HTs with bauman (2005,2006,2008). When I went to him I CLEARLY told him up front I do NOT want additional scarring. I further told him that if I'm not a good candidate please tell me now as I don't want to spend more money and suffer more pain. He told me he does repair jobs all the time and my results will be great. After the first 2 transplants yielded no results I told him I would seek a second opinion. Unfortunately, bauman is a smooth talker that talked me into another HT, which I should've declined. The 3rd HT left me with a second scar which I told him I did NOT want up front. He refused to take any responsibility and till this day will NOT send me my medical records. He has lied on me on different sites claiming the double scarring is from another doctor.

Since bauman I went to Dr. Umar in LA for 2000 grafts which did improve my overall look. Dr. Umar used about 1000 grafts from scalp and 1000 from beard. Furthermore, I've had SMP on the scalp and scars to cover bauman's butcher job. Repairing bauman's work has not been easy. Unfortunately, bauman does a lot of advertising and has a PR team to hide his bad reviews. bill accused me of using this website as my personal vengeance against bauman. That could not be further from the truth. I posted my story about what bauman did to me to prevent others from being disfigured for LIFE with permanent nerve damage for LIFE like me.

Again Melvin thank you for allowing me to share my story without fear of being banned

Hi Carl, sorry to hear this, but I’m glad you went to Dr Umar considering how many good things I’ve seen about him. That was a good choice.

  4. It’s really about the odds. Yes it’s correct that because it’s a surgical procedure there are no guarantees at any clinic but why take a bigger risk than you need to by going to one of those hair mills? Yes you can potentially have a good outcome and save money but what if it goes wrong?

You’ll end up losing both money and time to have it repaired. You only have a limited amount of hair to take, I just don’t see it as worth the risk. I would try and get it right from the start and go to a surgeon with high reviews but that’s just me.

  5. Some patients have redness that last a little longer but it passes. As others have mentioned, you are in the worst stage right now. Like you I also had shock loss I believe in some areas but they Eventually improved.

I have attached my own stages After Fue with Dr Maras at 1 week after, somewhere around month 1-3 after, ( the worst stage) and about a year after the surgery. It’s not called the worst stage for nothing, hang in there.

@Helios i am so pissed off that these people continue these lies with no consequence . maybe my case is a bit flexible and fixable, but considering where i started it is just a disaster (for God sake i was not bald or balding)

Yes I understand that. It’s an unfortunate reality of the world today. You are not the first to deal with this but as I said, fortunately it is fixable.

If you want my opinion for a surgeon I would contact HDC and Dr Maras purely based on the fact that they repair so many cases of patients that went to Turkey and had undesirable results, so unfortunately they’ve become sort of experts at repairing surgeries from Turkey but of course the surgeon is your choice and yours alone. Wish you the best in any case and again sorry you didn’t get the desired results you deserved.

Exactly, I mean back in 2016 when the Turkey hype started many ppl like me were lured but that happened because we didn't know any better, around 2019 ppl started to be aware and STILL most of them worship those cheap black market clinics, nobody back then told me why I mustn't do that poor choice, but after I consult and aware the public many of them don't listen and guess what's happen after...

    Sometimes you can't do repairs.

At least I’m sure you’ve saved others from having the same experience so that’s a very good thing. I’ve actually lost track how many clinics there are in Turkey that do transplants but it must be dozens. New one seems to be popping up everyday.

That 5000 grafts bullshit is almost off the radar in Turkey lately, they know that ppl got aware to stay away from this, so they more tend to market 3500 - 4000 per session but still in low quality, although I still know places in Turkey that go for 6000+ grafts bullshit and some ppl still fall for that, I am glad you weren't lure into that trap.

The problem is people are lured to turkey because of the cheap prices and large amounts of grafts promised. Best case scenario: the surgery is successful and you’ve saved money. Worst case scenario-

    1. You’ve wasted your money because now you need to pay for repair.

    2. you’ve lost precious grafts from the failed surgery

    3. you’ve lost time because now you won’t look good until you get the surgery repaired which will take months or years.

    4. You’re unhappy until you get it repaired.

Just not worth risking it at a cheap clinic in Turkey. Ive seen too many bad outcomes at this point.
