@Melvin-ModeratorYou know me since a while now, and you know I was looking for a surgeon and then eventually decided for Dr. Pekiner. I'm glad I did and I hope the results will turn out to be good. Time will tell.

Thanks @Portugal25 for the encouraging words. Now it's all about patience and taking care in the post-op. Biggest challenge for now is to stay away from lifting heavy weights for a while. Feels like a torture :D.

I had my HT done by Dr. Pekiner last year, not sure whats happened recently about reports on here but he is a legit and imo very respectable Dr, my experience and results have been good with him, id recommend him to others so its a shame he isn't well known for Europeans on this forum as a high contender

@JJJ00 a post with before and after pictures is usually regarded as advertising or a clinic post.

In this forum we like to be part of our fellow members journey to a full head of hair and updated monthly pictures as something everyone looks forward to seeing and praising.

Hope you can reconsider posting your thread and updating every month.

Wish you all the best and great results!

It’ll be a full journey type post with the monthly pictures I’ve taken, not just a before/after, it should be taken as my journey, just condensed into few posts/timeframe as i hated looking at people’s progress and they never finish it, this way it allows someone to see every step until the end when they read it rather than waiting months and never see the final result like a lot of logs

I think people like looking forward to monthly updates on this forum and also it helps the patient (you).

Everyone likes the progress pics but hate waiting a month between each one with a lot of logs not giving a final result as it’s been a long time and this way people can see everything in my journey properly and decide for themselves, I can also answer Qs about each month,

also trying not to hijack thread, you’ll get great results just have faith in the ugly duckling months 😂 coming up

  3. i had mine done in october with Dr Pekiner, so far results have been good, ill be doing a full report in one big thread with start to finish pictures as i didnt want to open the thread and update monthly, i think people would rather have a before during and after all in one place :)

These photos are terrible. You seem to have angled the hairs in all different directions which makes it hard to know what is going on. A distinction between native hairs and transplanted 6 months in is very typical.

Especially when keeping the hair this short all flaws will show. Imo if you want it to look good you should grow it out until 10 months at least, at that point you’d be in a better position to keep it ultra short.

if you want an accurate observation, brush the hair in the manner it naturally flows and take photos from straight angles that aren’t wide angle closeups. You want a natural representation of what someone around you would be looking at.

i suspect that is his natural hair pattern, a cowlick means just that!

when you say "baby", up to what age are we talking about? I believe babies up until even 2 years old can exhibit signs of baldness.

If you've had it throughout your entire life I'd probably consider getting examined by a dermatologist or consult with a HT doc here for a proper medical answer

earliest picture ive seen is from around 2 with this hairline, i suspect its either a case of no hair follicles developed there or some really bad luck with baby testosterone that never grew back

Can you post some pictures of you as a child? It’s highly improbable that you were norwood 3 since childhood. You may have been born with a high forehead, but temple recession is not likely.

youll have to trust me, ive seen my baby photos and the hairline is exactly the same,

its not normal and ive never seen anyone with receded temples from a young age before, im not posting baby pictures up to prove it though! :)

  7. Ive decided on getting a HT done, as the bald temples are quite far back and ive never had hair there, im more concerned as to whether there is a skin condition or something genetic that could stop transplanted hair growing in the temples after the procedure,

if its ever receded then i suspect only a very small amount at the hair line but nothing to class it as hairloss, id say it was natural with age

  8. Hi all,

Im going to be getting a HT soon but wanted to make sure i dont have a unique case that could cause it issues,

Ive got effectively a standard NW3 hairline, thats been the same since birth/childhood! it looks like ive had MPB but its something that ive always had, with no noticeable loss!

if this just rubbish hairline genetics (mum has high hairline and uncles have receded temples from mpb) or some condition as ive never seen anyone with the same Nw3 pattern their whole life,

i just want to check i dont have something wrong with my skin on temple area that could stop the HT hairs from growing

    Thanks

Hi everyone, after reading lots of reports, here I am finally writing one. After several types of research and some visits to other clinics, my decision fell on Dr. Kaan, which is why I contacted FIRST who was immediately very kind and ready to answer all my questions. Because of my job it was my need to do the operation with long hair and reassured by FIRST of the presence of a barber who had helped me "hide" the transplant I booked. Upon arrival in Ankara an assistant of Dr. Kaan was waiting for me at the airport exit and he accompanied me to an analysis laboratory (I didn't have the chance to do them in Italy, due to work) and there I met Saide, another assistant of the doctor, a very sweet person who assisted me until the last day for all my needs. After the blood test, I headed to the Sheraton (I was with my girlfriend who had some Marriot points to consume) if you have the chance go there because it's really wonderful and in front of the Salt Bae restaurant. The following day after a hearty breakfast, Saide greeted me in the lobby around 8:30 am and we went to the clinic together.

There I met another Italian boy who after finishing the operation the previous day was there to remove the bandage and he also reassured me that he had a great experience.

As soon as I met the doctor, I immediately understood that I was in good hands, he answered my various questions and, with his very kind manner, reassured me and we decided together the hairline.

After the various ritual photos a barber was waiting for me at the entrance and as promised by Alex he cut my hair in the way the natives covered the receiving area and indeed once they realized that they were so long, with the doctor we decided to do the operation partially shaved in order to have a better result.

the operation itself though was not at all painful, even the famous anesthesia was not painful at all, the only thing is that some positions were uncomfortable but nothing that could not be tolerated.

The first day the doctor extracted and inserted about 900 grafts in two sessions interspersed with the lunch break (Fadma the cook is exceptional).

Upon returning to the hotel, I felt a discomfort in the forehead area that faded after taking paracetamol.

The second day was very similar to the first and the doctor finished the procedure at around 5 pm.

After settling it all, Saide gave me some clinic gadgets and a USB stick with photos of the surgery.

The doctor explained to me the post-operative procedure and with his usual tranquility, he mentioned that my operation was performed with an average of 2.8 hairs per graft, among the highest he ever performed.

One thing that we discussed in precedence and then discussed again in the post-operative period is my impossibility to take finasteride because of a serious urological problem solved recently.

The doctor reminded me of the importance of the drug, even though I have full knowledge of it, but in the meantime, it reassured me by mentioning that my Aga is fairly stable and I could start in the future when I get the chance.

In the meantime, I will use Minoxidil 5% in a month for a few months (the doctor confirmed to me that given my situation I can eliminate it by scaling the dose after a while) and biotin-based supplement.

Of course, everything will be monitored remotely with the help of FIRST and the doctor.

The next day I returned to the clinic to remove the bandage and greet the team.

Now I have to be patient and follow the given guidelines.

Thank you all for the various written reports that helped me a lot to make this decision, soon I will send all the pictures 😊

    Day 25:

Unfortunately shedding started just after the 3 week mark, it has been pretty constant since then and I'm hoping it slows down soon. Although I read about how the majority of people shed the transplanted hairs, I like everyone else was hoping I was one the lucky ones who didn't!

Attached both transplant and donor pics below.

You'll only realize this if you see his clinic. He is just 1 guy with two assistants. He doesn't have the time for multiple patients a day, word of mouth is all he needs at this point.

would you say it was fully professional and clean, even finding info on his 'clinic' and its conditions isnt straight forward, it could be a dodgy unclean bedroom for all anyone knows 😂, did you find the medical side on par with asmed in terms of equipment and hygiene etc?

As Jonny touched upon, recommended surgeons pay to be listed on here. Best to research your doctor independently using the search function.

yeah ive done that as much as i can, but was hoping someone with first hand experience can comment as well,

in comparison to some other clinics the information is sparse online for Dr Keser, im not sure whether thats a good thing or bad thing really considering hes been doing it for a long time....

  13. Hi all,

I've noticed Dr Keser has been recommended by some members here but there doesn't seem to be much information online compared to someone like ASMED,

I was tempted to go with ASMED on the back of the results, however ive decided against it due to recent issue and it being an expensive tech clinic,

I was wondering if anyone had any honest reviews or more information on Dr Keser that isnt easily found, Ive seen some good patient logs but also wonder why he isnt a recomended surgeon here considering his work and the experience he apparently has,

Can anyone shed any more light, either good or bad?

    Thanks
