I use minoxidil with Azelaic acid 1x per day, Revivv natural hair loss treatment 1x per day, I use Nizoral 4x per week, and the laser cap 30 minutes 5x per week.
Do you still take msm and map supplements?

Crown looks exceptional which is rare since the crown is so difficult to grow. How do you feel about the hairline growth ?

Oral minoox, 1m propecia daily and 1.5 microneedle 1x per month.
Meds have nothing to do with transplant growth success. It only impacts your native hairs. But hang in there. Stress can hurt growth so try to be positive

Yeah, I really didn't anticipate major regrowth for my frontal region, but I stayed hopeful just in case I was one of those rare growers...
My mid scalp and crown are fine...maybe the crown is starting to thin a little, but I guess it's a good thing I'm on Fin now.
Sadly, it seems the HT for my frontal region is inevitable.
I see you apply minoxidil once a night. Do you apply in the frontal region? Maybe apply twice a day and you may gry better results

I was only taking 1mg 3x / week.
I've done some research and there seems to be a view that such rapid reactions are not real, but a result of anxieties over the medication. In my case I've taken medications plenty of times before and I had no anxiety - I was excited and hopeful when trying it - but the sides were so obvious I couldn't ignore them.
I'll give it one more go, easing in from 0.5mg twice per week and see what happens.
Any more sides and I'll abort mission and go back to the doctor.
Regarding the shedding - will that hair come back without finasteride? Am thinking I might get some topical minoxidil to help it along.
Let me know how it goes for you with 0.5 mg. I'm worried about taking fin as well. Some guys just can't tolerate it so best to stick with topical minoxidil, scalp Massages and a healthy diet(keto) along with intermittent fasting to lower your insulin

Start by taking one every other day, I myself started with topical finasteride then moved on to taking a pill everyday and have had no side effects
Ok thanks. Is there a reason why you switched from topical to a pill? And how many mg per tablet is a good starting point?

I got a transplant and want to maintain my native hairs so was considering my options. I heard it's best to start with one medication first for a a year or so to see if it works. I was thinking of getting on finasteride. Problem is, I have a twin and he had sexual sides when he took Propecia. So mostly likely means I will as well. So should I just give tablet finasteride a try and low dosage or just go to topical finasteride? Any other tips will help.
Thanks guys

1mg sir.
I normally take it in the morning while I have my cup of tea, I also take other medication so that's a big reminder.Personally don't have any side effects. I've heard that oil/foam variants of finasteride assist on preventing side effects also as it's not going through your whole system. Hope this info helps!
Yea that's why I'm leaning towards the topical because less sides. I'm gonna start a thread to get more of a feedback. Thanks for the help

To be honest, I've never heard of this mixture in the past.
However, I'm aware that finasteride can come in a foam/oil form to apply directly to the scalp.
People usually take finasteride (pill form) while using minoxidil without any issue. It's said to be the most affective way to promote growth. For most people, the pill form is also the most convenient method of taking the medication as it's easy to add to your daily cycle.
Whereas an oil/foam is more hassle to put on each day.Personally I only take finasteride.
What ever suits you best sir.Ok thanks for the Intel. What dosage of fin do take? I have never been on it and my twin had side effects. What routine/dosage do you recommend?

If I remember correctly, the native hair follicles on the front/crown of your head are weaker to DHT.
So replacing them with transplanted follicles from the back/sides won't have the same issue as the original (could be mistaken).Regardless, you need to be on finasteride after a transplant to prevent future balding of your native hair.
Ok. My doctor just prescribed me a bottle that has minoxidil and Finasteride together. Does that make them less efficient if they are combined in 1 bottle or should I buy minoxidil and Finasteride separately ?
Thanks

Hello, does taking Finasteride impact the growth of new transplant hair grafts or does it only impact your native hairs? I have a twin and he was on propecia and had sides. Being a twin, we have the same DNA so probably mean I'll have sides. But I heard fin doesn't have any impact on transplant grafts and just wanted to see if that's true
Thanks

Topical Finasteride is working well for many patients. Whether its efficacy is the same, or lesser than oral Finasteride is not known
This is just an assumption that side effects are lesser or non-existent but the lack of studies about its possible side effects no clinics or Doc can guarantee 100% successful outcomes.
There are some Challenges with gel:
This is not FDA-approved as per my limited knowledge.
Not available everywhere.
It is difficult to use as its topical application ( My personal experience). It may cause Itching on your scalp.
Topical minoxidil won't stop the ongoing progression and efficacy is less than oral or topical finasteride.
I am on Oral finasteride 1mg from last 2.5 years and it worked well for me post my HT
Hi, What did you mean when you said 1mg of fin worked well for you post hair transplant? I thought fin only impacts native hairs and not transplant hairs?
-
Does fin have any impact on the growth of transplant hairs after a surgery or does it only affect your native haira?

Does fin have any impact on the growth of transplant grafts or is it just for native hair?

These are some pictures 2 days post procedure. Everything seems to be healing up nicely, I was provided with several sprays and balms with detailed instructions as part of the post-op care so have been getting a couple of nice days rest and carefully following the schedule.
My hairloss has always been worse going out from my right temple and I could see the hair was weaker going back further in this area. Therefore I requested that we take the placement a bit further back into this area and the Dr obliged. I’m pleased about this as I’d like this procedure to buy me as much time as possible before I need to consider if I want to do another one - and to see if the newly started meds can stabilise what I have.
There was minimal swelling on day 1 post-op so this is a very good time to fly back home if you need to do so, now on day 2 I have a lot of swelling in the forehead which I’ve been advised is totally normal. You maybe can’t tell from the pictures but I look a bit like some character from Star Trek due to this hah! So when popping out for food the bandana is coming in useful.
Note that many people take pictures immediate post-op or on day 1, so it’s important to note this is day 2 if you are going to compare anything.
I saw a few stories on this forum where people scratched the new grafts in the night so I used the neck pillow to sleep and am covering my hands in a pair of socks each night to prevent this!
I have just been looking at some other stories on here and the pictures look better when just the eyes are covered, so for the next round I’ll put more effort into getting some nicer pics. Feel free to comment on this thread.Look like your left hairline is higher than the right. Was that intentional to create irregularity to make it more natural?

Don’t buy it then, no one’s forcing you.
There will never be a cure for baldness. Too much money doctors and pharmaceutical companies are making. Just take the best treatment available and take care of your hair inside and out.

The formulas are better, more people here have used them with less side effects. Hims, keeps, strut are generic formulas.
Are you talking about minoxidil or fin? I thought it doesn't really matter where you get minoxidil as long as it's %5.

I am starting the topical finasteride that Dr. Hasson sells which has some of delivery mechanism that limits the side effects. You might consider this product.
Where is he located? I've in CA. Would it ne possible for me to receive it?

That's what I did. I heard back from them after about a week or 10 days? (not sure)
They sent me an invitation email with a form to fill out. I sent the form back with 2 photos and the next day I received an email from the pharmacy for my order.
I paid for the order and received it today. It took about 4-5 days for me to receive it. I haven't used it yet. I will start first week in February.
I live in California. Where are they located? And will this work on thin forelock?

Does this work on hairline, forelock?

Some natural remedies.
You can try scalp Massages. I put an alarm in my phone to remind me to give myself a 1 min scalp massage every 3 hours. Do a warm oil hair treatment 1x a week. Use organic shampoo, eat a clean diet rich in vegetable, protein, nuts, lots of water. Microneedle with a dr pen, NOT derma roller which can damage hair and its also not the correct method to Microneedle. Try Rosemary oil with Jojobo oil on scalp and leave over night 3x a week. A study mentioned its as affective as Rogaine. Fin shouldn't affect your transplant result but help keep your native hair. I'm thinking of getting on fin but scared of the side effect.😔

These are not compounded, so they are consistent in quality from most reputable places..
Topical finas on the other hand can differ depending on where you get it
What's a good place to get topical fin or dust?

Love the dense packing of the hairline. That result will allow you to get away with not having to use hair products 👌

Looks good mate. Looking at your post op pics your HT looks way more than 1600 grafts! Maybe he miscalculated and you had a result lol
Right. Looks around 2100 ish. He probably through in abdomen extra grafts at no charge which shows he cares about results.

Looks natural ! You mind taking pics in the bathroom light so we can see the density in more harsh lighting?
