  1. I've had hair transplant 3 weeks ago. My doc told me it is fine to use a shampoo with Ketoconazole in it after the second week post op. However, I just read some posts here from people warning against use of Nizoral or Ketoconazole containing shampoo for as long as 8-9 months. I have used Ketoconazole (not Nizoral but another brand containing Ketoconazole, I believe 1% ) for years and it completely helps with my dandruff (SD). Now I'm a little hesitant to use it even though I'm 3 weeks post op. Does anyone have any actual information that supports not to use Ketoconazole containing shampoo post op?
  2. I agree not to overuse it. ( one shouldn't overuse anything ) However, I have dandruff issue and it helps me better than any other shampoo, plus I have been using it for years and my hair and scalp seem pretty healthy.
  3. Hi hsrp10, where is this post from Spex you are referring to? The link you posted takes me right back to this thread and I can't find any posting from Spex. Thank you
  4. To my understanding, the 1% version has 1% of ketoconazole and the 2% has 2%. How would the 2 % which has double the amount of ketoconazole be less harsh than the 1%?
