That’s because they’re sharing their best pictures, those who are happy show flattering pictures, and those that aren’t share unflattering pictures.

Celebrities c’mon man you can’t be that naive. Obviously, celebrities will do everything possible to look their best, including using hair loss concealers or using hair pieces.

What I showed in that thread is the reality. As I said, it’s not your results, it’s your expectations. That’s another reason why getting a hair transplant young is a bad idea. Guy’s who are 21 obviously want to look like they did before going bald, but it’s not realistic.

Take a look @Guy73 he reached that level of density after several surgeries in the same spot. It’s unrealistic to expect that level of density in one procedure. Just telling you the harsh truth.

I’m hoping things may improve more and I’m not far from being happy tbh , I think maybe another 400 grafts and id be there. Also I can feel spiky new hairs on my recipient area could this be new growth or just grafts that didn’t take properly and will eventually fall out/not survive? I don’t think I noticed any of these before so hoping they’re new hairs popping up but thought I’d of finished sprouting by now.

This is my second procedure now and I don’t care about having the exact same density not even having half the density as my hair is thick. It’s just I don’t want people to notice I’ve had something done if you get what I mean. I’d happily pay the price celebrities are to have there sort of hair transplants like look at people like Elon Musk and Machine Gun Kelly , you would never be able to tell they’ve had work done it’s insane.

    Refer to this thread

I’ve read this thread but looking at people’s results on this forum it seems that many people get more than simply an illusion of hair they seem to have a full head of hair again. Many celebrities have had transplants where you would never be able to tell they’ve had one done it’s not simply an illusion.

Your hair is fine, your expectations are not, it’s not the surgery that is the issue, it is your expectations.

I think my expectations are fine though , I had such a small procedure to begin with only has 600 grafts as my first fue I would say I had 10% growth. Yes if I was a Norwood 4/5 then my results would be good but all I was having was my widows peak corrected. Honestly would say that I’ve had one of the smallest transplant areas I’ve seen on this site mate.

Look at the photo below , my hairline is sparse and has loads of gaps in which I don’t feel is right for such a small fue surgery. Maybe I am wrong but my surgeon said to me I would not have gaps where scalp was visible and he assured me of this.

The bald spot could be alopecia areata or shock loss. If that area was bald, your hair transplant is not a failure.

Okay well that’s good to hear , if it was shock loss shouldn’t it of grown back by now?

Sounds like your age and expectations are not realistic. It’s normal to see scalp under harsh lights, even after getting a hair transplant.

There’s a lot of information we need to give you a better answer. Did they transplant into pre-existing hair, or were you completely bald in that area? Are you on finasteride? Did you recently start minoxidil?

Either way the hairline looks good, so I wouldn’t say its a failure regardless, it looks natural and like a normal hairline

No I was bald in the areas they transplanted into. Was born with a v shaped hairline and have quite thick hair so haven’t started any drugs yet as I’m not losing any hair.

yes maybe my expectations were a bit too high then , been checking my progress a lot under harsh light so maybe it’s time to just keep checking on it in natural sunlight.

I did ask my clinic to send me my prescription op photos but they said it’ll take some time due to “Covid 19” so sorry for posting with such little info. Needed to get someone’s response on this tho as it’s been bugging me quite a lot.

You’ve already posted this before, not sure if you’re just trying to get a confirmation bias, but there’s nothing wrong with the hairline.

Yeah I have sorry , I just took more photos today and still feel like I can see scalp and that hair is real thin under harsh light.

  8. My hair looks very thin when under harsh light , is this normal or is this a failed HT , I only had 650 grafts as I had previously had 1200 before then. I know I’m under very harsh light but surely it should be looking denser or maybe I’m just expecting to much. I’m currently 220 days post surgery. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

It will improve from here, that’s about 7 months so far. Some of us improve even beyond the 12 month mark. 650 grafts isn’t that many but like you say should be enough to boost small areas in terms of density.

How many grafts did you have in your first procedure.?

I believe it was 1250 if I remember correctly. Just a bit worried , as most people seem to say you have nearly full results by 7/8 months.

  10. I forgot to add I’m only 21 , but had the surgery as was struggling with my hairline from a young age , was born with a v shaped hairline and receded temples and family history is fairly good for hair loss. Also my donor area I was told would be large enough so when I receded later in life I could have another surgery to keep up with the loss.

  11. Hi guys , I’m nearly 11 months post fue op , I only had a small procedure and I still have gaps and my transplanted hair is quite thin and whispy. Can someone let me know if this is normal , I always have a new little sprouting out so I may just be growing in still very slowly. Just bit worried about the density and the sort of weak look to the hair
