  1. Thanks Wheretogo,

Yep shampoo everyday with an essential oil shampoo- Doterra and once a week with t-gel. I went back to the gym around the 45 day mark, and noticed the softness of the scalp/squishiness stopped pretty soon after.

Why are you nervous to touch it? I had a few zits initially in the donor area but now they seem to have completely gone.

Oh also I would say I am about 85-90% of feeling back in my recipient area and 100% in the donor area. That was a big concern of mine initially but glad it's resolving :)

    Looks so good Luke.

nervous to touch the hair in general, but i guess i will buzz it soon.

  2. I've been going to the same barber for many years now. Told him I was getting a transplant and started getting regular cuts just 2 weeks after my FUE procedure. Because I told him about the transplant, he understood (with my instruction) not to touch the recipient area for a while, and as time went on, he frequently adjusted my haircut to make the best of what I looked like during the ugly duckling stage.

Now he's excited every time I come in for a haircut because he enjoys seeing all the new growth coming in haha.

Just looked at your thread and you look great!, wait for your six month update.

i'm on day 59 post op and haven't touched my hair yet, kinda nervous to do that.

after 2 weeks from your FUE procedure you cut your recipient area?

  3. It make a lot of sense :)

guessing another procedure is available in about a year from now.

so, is it possible to shampoo my scalp only once a day now? use regular stream on the scalp?

noticed today 2-3 pimples on my back, how can i know if it is an outbreak cause by the MSM and biotin i'm taking?, just increased the MSM to 1000 mg each day.

  4. thanks :)

it's all still red/pink and most of the hair shed already, so it's pretty ugly right now, haven't buzzed my donor area yet, kinda nervous to harm the hair.

doesn't use any kind of meds, but i'm taking MSM (currently 500 mg but i will increase to 1000 next month) and biotin 500 mcg (will increase it to 5000 to give a boost).

i'm taking also B12 and vitamin D supplements (since before the HT), drinks vegetables juice everyday, eat almonds, walnuts, pumpkin seed and Flaxseed.

still using their shampoo twice a day although it is going to run out.

until when should i wash my head twice a day with low stream?

  5. I don't want to use any kind of pills or even Minoxidil, i guess that's why i was recommended MSM.

if someone takes MSM daily i would like to know what is a good dosage.

    thanks.

  6. Thanks gillenator.

my op was at the front part of the scalp and i will probably need another one to the crown area.

what are your thoughts about prp at the crown area instead of another FUE?

another thing, i'm 32 days post op, how many times do i need to shampoo my scalp right now?, twicw a day, once?, have to do it everyday? and until when should i wash my head really really gentle with low stream?

  7. Thank you so much for your help.

i will increase the dosage to 2400 mcg (4 pills a day to finish my current bottle), starting next week and i will see if it's good for me and not cause any outbreak and if it's ok i will increase it in a month to 5000.

i will finish the MSM i got.

is there anything else i should take during those first months post op?

  8. Hi Shera,

how much biotin did you take in the months post op?.

the plan is to take 600 mcg each day until the 3 months point post op and then to increase the dosage to give boost, i thought about 5000 mcg, but i don't know if it's too much.

what about MSM?, do i need to take it and if yes, what dosage do you think i can take at the 3 months point?

    thanks.

  9. guys, which hat do you think is better, i'm sorry if it's not allowed to put links, just need your advice.

the problem with the Solar bucket is that the mesh ventilation on this hat is not UPF 50 rated.

the Trailhead Boonie, i don't know if it is big enough so the scalp won't be too much pressed to the hat.

    thank you so much

  10. Hi pkipling,

i don't touch my scalp at all besides when i wash it twice a day and when i do that i'm really really gentle, move my fingers pad really slowly, massage the shampoo gently and i wash it with a really weak stream of water. maybe the pimple was at "the end" (had a really big white head) and a gentle touch took the head off?, i just don't want it to harm the scalp in any way and plan for the pimples ahead.

    thanks

  11. so i can cough a lot (:D) and the grafts won't be affected? and i can just take medicine (not antibiotics) and it won't affected either?

what about the pimple? don't want to cause harm as well in that area.

    thank you so much.

update- i took pain killers that that clinic gave me when i left 2 weeks ago, figured if i took them in the first few days post op it's ok to take them now, hope it's alright.
