  1. well here it is currently at 16 days post op. total grafts was 3250 head and 512 beard, unfortunately chest wasnt a viable option.. so a bit down! asked for a fullish coverage all over, happy with the hairline, and its spread out around, hoping to get on lipogaine to speed up regrowth and get some native hairs back. fingers crossed it goes well, we shall see in May, only bad thing is post op instrutions i cant buzz the recipient for 3 months. positive note i dont look bad with a shaved head!!
  2. lol got a transplant on the same day at another clinic though! did your post op instructions say you could shave the donor area? any scarring at all... i cant buzz or shave until a month! what did they say about the recipient area, im stuck til three months post until i can buzz
  3. Im currently 16 days post op, all looks good so far, time will tell.. No issues with the dr if you have any issues just make sure you get him in and get him to double check everything. he began extraction and then the tech took over. anasthetic nurse was very nice, however some dont know a great deal of english two or three patient coordinators who speak english though who are with you most of the time.
  4. lol wicked thanks, i did avoid the chilli/ lemon crisps and extra hot chicken though just to be on the safe side! kept it bland, back on it now though,
  5. any update from lipogaine usage?
  6. Question I avoided anything immediate and I'm currently at 7 days post op atm Washed my hair first time yday, I've avoided any sweating / steam baths or anything, Currently eating some spicy crisps and getting a bit of sweat and scared lol Should it affect the grafts at this stage? Or should I wait until a few weeks before I crack on with the chilli's Indian btw so it's hard to eat non spicy foods!
  7. Had a ht on the 21St 3250 Donor is still obv quite sore can I use emu oil or anything on it from today to help heal it faster, Or do you reckon I should wait until the 5th day when I wash my hair and then apply the oil Curious to find out what others have done, it doesn't look too bad tbh, Just wanted to help reduce any scarring and that, I know emu oil is prob the best to do that, Thanks!
  8. Did the surgeon you went with do the extraction part or was it someone else doing them... Thanks..
  9. well all booked up - ht for Christmas #s3gt_translate_tooltip_mini { display: none !important; }
  10. Omg I can only hope!!! Nw6 as well I'm booked for 3900 in a few weeks, really hope it goes well, do you use ready mixed azelaic acid and Minox? Take it that's a brand perfect hair and you use the lipogaine in the evening Thanks
  11. from what ive seen gradual few months and youl be gon
  12. Alright mate, do you know who did what, who performed the extractions/ channels & implantation
  13. I mean I was considering proscar or equivalent, but just concerned I mean my current state of hair loss is stable, last few days for example I oil my hair etc and well noticed nothing fell out, same with shampoo sort of check my hands after and go through, on days they fall get around 6 or so, It's always been very slow, which is a good thing, taking mild dht inhibitors which could possibly be the reason I'm not seeing any loss, And with a microscope I'm seeing small sprouts all over the scalp, Hopefully I get some thickening, It's an option to get on it, but I mean with a ht especially cases like mine with Dr Tayfun I've seen quite good results,
  14. hmm well hopefully if the time comes il use bht to fill in the gaps on my horseshoe atm I am thinking about the next 10 years or so and hopefully the grafts and my hair maintain beyond that but in that time lets hope something else comes out... no doubt someone in 2027 will be reading this and laughing as there still hasnt been any cure
  15. im assuming extractions and channel opening done by him do you know if you were the only patient there per day? and did you go via get hair?
  16. Yeah it's doc Tayfun I mean initially they said 4200 but dropped it after seeing me in person, That's the thing I don't understand I've seen so many other cases with advanced loss who have had transplants? And have been ok, and that's the thing I don't care for having a frontal third with styling cause that just looks ridiculous I'd rather have coverage All over and use fibres to thicken it up until I'm ready to shave I mean is that even too much to expect in my case? With 3900 grafts and using regaine after
  17. Evening all, well long story short bald guy started at 17 and currently 10 years later the end is nigh... basically I have had slow progressive loss & thinning over time just want to see other peoples opinions and verdicts ive been to a few uk clinics who have said no - my donor wasnt great at the time but seems to have thickened up now i think.. but yeah i basically want just good coverage not looking to gel and wax and all that just a good base and hair which doesnt fall - even if concealer is req which it prob will its cool! ive been quoted 3900 2900 from my donor and 500 chest & 500 beard its from get hair doc is dr tayfun - only thing is I cant find a great deal of info! he has been practicing for a long time - videos on youtube and testimonials etc around Ive visited him in person and he has dropped his initial recommendation to 2900 from donor just want to be sure essentially its a big step! thanks
  18. dude il be honest that doesnt look like 3000 grafts...
