  1. Where was it debunked Nick? I used to use it years ago but havent done recently due to the potential hair loss. Im starting topical Dut soon and was going to start the creatine again then to minimise risk
  2. Any effect on increased body hair? I have thought about using it but the increased hair growth in other areas put me off. I have enough as it is!
  3. Agreed about the diplomas. I went to a HT doctor for a large part due to qualifications- ISHRS, IBHRS, EHRS, part of DCD & TDD associations. Means nothing when you have techs doing the work. Ultimately they over harvested (having been told by several doctors subsequently), graft placement all over the place, doubles and triples on the hairline and not much growth. You can't do enough research, I thought I had done enough. I thought I had a good doctor, see's one patient a day, good reviews, he was sponsored on another forum etc. I was naive, they screwed up my transplant and not left me with much donor left. Unless you see multiple good user reviews with clear shots don't consider them. It's a minefield out there. I know there are doctors who make you sign a contract before your transplant so that you can't speak about them negatively on any social media/forums.
  4. When you say source topical fin, is there anything in particular you're looking for from the ones available on the market? Dosage/price? Just curious as Im looking around myself
  5. You're right from what I've researched so far. To be fair I think I was wrong when I said that. FUEclinic said every other day
  6. I'll check him out 👍🏽
  7. Oral finasteride gave me sides so looking to get some topical. Any ideas of good dosage? FUE clinic - 0.025% HIMS - 0.05% Son's - 0.1% All above are twice a day. Thanks
  8. Thanks. So you suggest you the crown should mainly be filled with beard grafts or a mixture of beard and donor from scalp?
  9. Its Bicer and Turan I'm speaking to in Turkey. Nobody else. I'm well aware Bisanga/Mwamba etc are better options for a repair and will try and get in front of them also.
  10. Thats what Im hoping for. Im keeping a close eye on your case as you know...
  11. Mixoxidil. Tried fina for a few weeks but experienced sides so left it
  12. 2 of the better ones, didn't say the best. But they are Dr Turan and Dr Bicer
  13. Thanks for your input. It is what it is unfortunately. I took my time, did my research etc but got suckered in. Thanks for the other names. I'm hoping maybe body or beard hair could help in my case. Haven't really looked into Dutasteride but will take a look. Thanks.
  14. Hi guys, Firstly great forum, which I had lurked on this one instead of the other one I used to spend my time on back in 2016 before my fue treatment. So I had 3000 grafts (apparently) done via fue by Dr Civas in 2016. He wasnt a hair mill, a lot of accreditations, good reviews (ahem) etc. Ultimately probably wasnt diligent enough, made the wrong decision and results weren't great. Donor area came out pretty bad a few months after and seems as though they overharvested. Went to see a local doctor a little while later who told me I had very limited donor area left so kind of put it to the side and thought would just have to live with it. Now Im seeing docs in western Europe doing good repair cases and on top of that I dont know if my donor area is as bad as I thought or the doc made out. Seems to be looking better nowadays and I see a few cases on here with donor areas looking more sparse than mine still with enough grafts left to go do a transplant. What do you guys think? Now Im under no illusions. Im prob a norwood 4/5 so not expecting a full head of hair. Maybe just frontal 3rd through to mid scalp but hopeful even that may be achieved? Im in Istanbul soon so have appointments or trying to get in front of 2 of the better ones there as well as Mwamba to see their thoughts but keen to hear what you guys think? I currently use minox but no fina as I experienced some sides after using for a few weeks Thanks
  15. Will be following this. How did the clinic leave your donor area?
  16. Thats a good write up and looks like it could turn out real good ia. I'm real interested in this as my donor area isnt great after a procedure with Dr Civas a few years ago and Dr Mwamba was already on my shortlist (along with Dr Turan and Dr Bicer) for an FUE procedure. I'll be watching this one closely
  17. I had my surgery done by Civas and I am now seriously looking at a 2nd FUE but will be looking elsewhere. I was disappointed with my results. Although there was some thickening it was still patchy and especially sparse along the frontal area and hairline. The donor area also became somewhat noticeable after 6 months whereas previously it was clean. I would say that may have not been down to him but my friend who also went to him had exactly the same to his donor area. Could be due to overharvesting but planning to put up some photos tomorrow to get the boards advice as I would liketo know if my donor area has been put to risk. I have also read about incentives being offered to patients if they put up good results. If you google "civas 3200" you may come across another thread I read about a year ago. He seems to like this figure.
