  1. This is a 33-year-old patient coming from Poland. His goal is to cover all the baldness, front and crown. To finish this job, it has been estimated that about 5000 grafts were needed.

As the concern of HDC Hair Clinic is to complete the coverage without depleting the donor, it was decided to break the amount of 5000 grafts into 2 sessions. We proceeded with 3500 grafts to cover the front as shown below.

The coverage with natural look was achieved in the front and top area. The donor is also demonstrated 1 year after for you to see the meaning of respecting the donor and leaving is ready for 2nd and 3rd FUE Hair transplants if needed.

We will post later also the surgery on the crown for this patient.

In addition, you can see more information about avoiding donor Depletion in the our article below:

  2. This patient had contacted HDC, from the United States for his hair transplantation.

He finally had transplanted 3200 grafts, with the FUE technique and the end of March 2017.

He wanted to choose his best option, out of top clinics in north America and Europe.

He narrowed down his list to 4 clinics in and he finally decided to conclude with HDC Hair Clinic, after seeing the result of his friend who came to HDC 6 months before, and the other posted results in this and other forums. The Clinic made him feel comfortable and welcomed and the team was very experienced and professional. These are the words of the patient as mentioned in another forum and in his videos, that you are going to watch in this post.

We need to mention that this patient had a hidden camera that HDC did not know and has documented in detail his experience. We feel that this is the most well documented testimonial from a patient ever, and it’s worth to watch all his videos.

We post here, the before and post op photos.

  3. Hi

I have also had my HT by HDC and up until now I have been very pleased with my progress. The HDC team were great so I’m not surprised to see such a good result like this one, and the previous one.

I am now at the 5 and half months post-op period, and I have posted my experience in this forum at this link

    http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/187245-great-experience-hdc-clinic-fue-2470-grafts.html

I am waiting for my final result and I will post it as I get to that stage. So far it has been quite promising.

    Keep up the good work

    Hi Barak,

I'm happy to read that your experience with us was positive.

Thanks' for sharing your experience on this forum.

  4. This 32 years old patient wanted with his FUE Hair Transplant to cover the hairline and temples and his thinning on the crown.

HDC had to extract the amount of grafts to achieve the goals of the patient without depleting the donor as this is our usual practice. So, we manage to place 3567 grafts distributed as follows:

    2300 grafts to front and

    About 1267 to the crown.

The patient was and continues to be on propecia.

See the post op of recipient areas of front and crown and see also the nice work done on the donor in the photo of after finishing the surgery.

The result is after 11 months.

Patient happy comment was that “Now I can date younger girls!”

  5. very good result and the client should be really happy. I wonder how his donor area managed to provide so many grafts and still looks untouched. What was his density in donor area?

    Hi saltsay,

Managing the donor in large Norwood Scale Patients is one of the most important aspects of FUE hair transplantation success.

You can see a detailed reply to your question in the link below that explains how to avoid donor scarring and depletion in large FUE sessions.

Hair Transplants HDC - Avoid scarring & Donor Depletion in FUE

  6. This is a Norwood class 6 patient that wanted to cover his whole baldness with adequate and realistic density. HDC advised him that in order to achieve his goal, 3 sessions will be needed. One for the front, one for the top and one for the crown. The main reason why not to extract all the grafts in one go is for preserving the donor in a good condition to be able to extract the maximum number of grafts from this donor without visible depletion.

So here he is after two sessions and 5600 grafts in just 6.5 months after the 2nd session.

The details of the hair transplants are as below:

    FUE1 on 11-11-15 for 2850 grafts

    FUE2 on 05-12-16 for 2750 grafts

    Total 5600 grafts.

We are waiting for photos with result. But anyway, we could get some in HDC Clinic when he comes for his 3rd hair transplant on the crown.

Our comment is that, for a class 6 patient with good donor, there is the possibility to cover the whole area with average density like in this case if the donor and the extracted grafts are well managed.

  7. We have received some updated photos from the patient which show the final result.

This is an 11 months post op update with clear photos.

It includes also photos of the donor with no visible evidence of hair transplantation.

Just for those who are not familiar with the techniques use by HDC, we want to state that we use only Manual punch, we never overharvest the donor, we have very low transection rates and we never affect the adjacent follicular units. By this way the patient will have no visible signs of extraction and thus leave enough donor for future coverage needs.

  8. This is a 30 years old patient at NW 3 class. He wanted to restore his front boldness with density to match his existing hair at the back.

HDC Hair Transplant Clinic, in Cyprus, covered the area with 3000 grafts and gave him a natural look with a good density.

The patient is on finasteride and minoxidil.

Photos of before Hair transplant with design are presented, the post op, 8 days after HT and the result after 8 months.

We consider useful to draw your attention to the work done on the donor as presented below, with avoiding any kind of depletion and looking as if no surgery was done after 8 days.

In addition, the recipient area is clean after 8 days as presented and this is mainly due to the post op care that HDC offers to all the patients.

  9. This is a 39 years old patient at NW 3 class. He wanted to restore his front boldness with density to match his existing hair at the back. He was on a tight budget and wanted to use as less grafts as possible.

HDC Hair Transplant Clinic, in Cyprus, managed to cover this area with 2700 grafts and give him a natural look with sufficient density and coverage.

Photos of before Hair transplant with design are presented, the post op, 10 days after HT and the result after 8 months.

The patient is from Greece and he send to the clinic his result photos in a natural environment.

  10. This is a 29 years old patient who had a previous FUE in Israel for about 2000 grafts.

He was obviously not happy with the result and visited HDC Consultation Centre in Tel Aviv seeking for a solution.

Hi aim was to make the hairline more natural and to increase the density in the existing transplanted hair and continue behind the previous transplant in order to have sufficient coverage up to the line in the picture below.

His donor is below average and with some white dots at the back from previous FUE. In order to maximize the number of grafts we used also his beard hair and we managed to harvest a total of 2528 grafts as analyzed below.

    1st day Scalp 931 Beard 0 Total 931

    2nd day Scalp 525 Beard 463 Total 988

    3rd day Scalp 302 Beard 307 Total 609

    Total Scalp1758 Beard 670 Total 2528

    Additional Notes:

It is noticeable that the shape of head of this patient is with a hollow on top since the cranium bones did not come together when he was a new born so it was vital that this area was covered in order to hide the uneven shape.

  11. really fantastic, natural result ! personally I would have went a bit more conservative with the hairline given his age and fact that he'll likely have continued hair loss and recession behind the transplanted frontal band - just my own opinion, otherwise the work looks top knotch

Home1212 you are right about the need of being more conservative on young patents. However, we consider each individual case differently.

To start with, young patients most of the times demand very low hairlines and the truth is that we reject patients who insists in low hairline with a family history of hair loss going to nw6.

This particular patient does not have a bad family history of hair loss, only going to NW4. His crown does not have any signs of hair loss which confirms that his predisposition is not exceeding NW4. Even 2 years after, you can see that his hair loss is stable.

In addition his hairline was drawn conservatively, a little bit behind his existing one as you can see in the photo below.

    3_zpsof1pgcpi.jpg

Regarding more information about hair transplantation to the young patients you can refer to our article at this link:

  12. This is a young patient who was 24 years old at the time of his HT in March 2015.He wanted to fill up his hairline and the thinning behind it.

We present his Hair Transplant Result 2 years and 3 months after, with clear and comparable photos of before, post op and after.

It should be noted that this patient has posted his result in the Spanish forum and this is from where we have borrowed the result photos. Also, since he was so happy his brother had a Hair Transplant with HDC Hair Clinic in May 2017 and he is posting his case in the Spanish forum too.

He tried finasteride in the past without results and he is using minoxidil before and after his Hair transplant.

HDC Hair Clinic transplanted only 2000 grafts in order to match his requirements. We have seen similar cases that clinics rush to offer 3000 – 4000 grafts which we believe is not needed.

Additionally you can notice that the designed hairline is even behind of some of his own hair in the front, which ultimately has given a more natural result.

The patient’s results photos are presented at 6.5 months after his HT.

  14. This patient who is Norwood Class 6, wanted to cover the front and top of his head with one visit to HDC.

In order to facilitate this demand of the patient, we decided to offer him a combination Hair Transplant surgery for Scalp and beard.

We extracted 3750 scalp and 750 beard. We spread the grafts on his bald area as illustrated below.

The whole idea is to be able to offer high number of grafts without depleting the donor. This is why we avoided taking 4500 directly from the donor.

So you can see the scalp donor and beard donor of this patient post op and 4 days after. This proves that patients can have a good coverage without sacrificing their donor. Without donor depletions and scarring.

We have been receiving a lot to emails lately with patients seeking solutions from their depleted donor. Well the best solution is to choose clinics that care about your donor.

You can see more information on our article on donor depletion and scarring, on this link http://www.hairtransplants-hdc.com/blog/item/avoiding-scarring-and-depletion-of-the-donor-in-large-fue-sessions

    Regards,

    Giuseppe

  15. I'm curious to know why the beard grafts were taken from the sides as opposed to under the chin where they would be less noticeable especially if there ended up being some scarring. I'm not opposed to taking grafts from the sides, but my opinion is that under the chin should be first, so you can see how well it heals and then if there are no noticeable dot scars then you can do another session taking grafts from the sides.

    Hi behappy,

I can give 3 reasons in order to answer your question.

    1. We never had any scarring from beard hair extraction in any patient so far. I have included a photo of this patient showing his beard after 2.5 years and another view of the result. There was another case posted in the past that shows the non scarring from beard Hair Transplant here: HDC Hair Transplant Clinic – Scalp and Beard FUE Result of 4538 Grafts – Front and Cr - Forum By and for Hair Loss Patients

    2. The required number to be taken from the beard was 1000 grafts. So by using the area of the two sides the number was extracted.

    3. The beard in the area under the chin, usually has more erratic direction of growth as you can see in the attached photo. We start usually from the sides and we continue to the chin if we need more grafts.

I hope this answers conclusively you question.

    22_zpsxyilhv2m.jpg

    23_zpsozxurhg4.jpg

  16. The patient was 31 years when he started his hair transplantation with HDC in 2014. His aim was to cover his boldness, the best way possible. His donor was average as you can see in the photos below.

HDC has proceeded with two Hair transplant Sessions as follows:

    2000 grafts on 31-01 -14

2000 scalp grafts and 1000 beard grafts on 19-11-14

    Total of 5000 grafts

The main aim was to maintain the donor in the best way possible so as to be able to take more grafts if needed to cover more area in the future. HDC had promised the patient that with two surgeries, his result will be natural and adequately covered and leaving the donor, both scalp and beard, not depleted for at least one more session.

You can see the result for yourself and evaluate if the patient goals have been met.

Additionally we want to inform the readers of the presentation of this result, that we have lounged a new website in March 2017 on this link: HDC Hair transplant | Restoration clinic fue

  17. Thank you for your comments.

It is true that the photos are kind of dark and can show more density.

Still someone can see the natural result of the hairline work. But let us analyze in more detail this result.

As shown in the photos, about 1 inch to front the density placed was high and behind that the density marked with yellow line is low.

    16_zpslvgr0sey.jpg

    17_zps9ebt3s5j.jpg

The reason is that he had his own hair at the time of surgery and we did not want to go so aggressively into this area in order to avoid shock loss.

If you study more carefully the photo send by patient you can notice that the result density is higher in the front inch, than behind. So obviously the patient lost some of his existing hair in the grafted yellow area but also even in the area behind where the transplant had covered. This means that he would soon need another pass to increase the density in this area.

The advantage of HDC is that the donor is not damaged and it is possible to extract from the same area 3-4 times with a total of about 8000+ grafts from a normal donor.

See our latest article on avoiding donor scaring and depletion on this link http://www.hairtransplants-hdc.com/blog/item/avoiding-scarring-and-depletion-of-the-donor-in-large-fue-sessions

So this example can be a good one for patients to understand that the hair transplant process is an ongoing process as we continue to lose hair and especially for young patients that want to have a very dense hairline and temples without considering what will come after.

I hope my analysis is useful.

  18. Hi Everybody,

This patient who is a Norwood Class 3 and 31 years old had an FUE hair transplant surgery for Hairline and frontal third restoration with 3000 grafts at HDC Hair Clinic.

This FUE hair transplant surgery is presented in detail with before, immediately post op and 13 months photos after the surgery.

Note that the after photos were send to HDC from the patient who came for his surgery from Abroad.

It may be also useful to say that HDC is including the travel and accommodation cost in the offered price per graft. Additionally HDC has released online its new updated website in the beginning of April 2017.

You can have a look on this link HDC Hair transplant | Restoration clinic fue

  19. Replying to hsrp 10, I present below the number of grafts placed in each area of the recipient.

In the approximately first two cm, we placed 2167 grafts and the density in this area is about 65 grafts to the hairline and about 50 grafts behind the hairline.

    16-%202167%20grafts_zps6go7jniz.jpg

Behind the 2 cm the patient had existing hair so the density placed was according to his existing hair and the number was 1298 grafts.

To answer who performed the surgery, I want to stress that in HDC we do team work and you can see how we work on this link:

HDC - Hair Transplant, Restoration and Treatment Centre - Teamwork for FUE Surgery, from HDC gives better results!

Dr Maras was the doctor responsible for this case.

Taking this opportunity I what to inform the forum that we launched a new website last week with very update information.

  20. This is a 43 year old patient who wanted to replace his front with good coverage but natural looking result for his age and image.

HDC covered all the balding area so as to join the transplanted hair with his own existing hair. 3465 grafts were needed to do the job.

We have drawn two lines for hairline during the design stage so as to see which was the most appropriate. We used the lower one in the end.

We are presenting his case with before, post op and after 15 month photos.

We are also presenting his donor area post op, for you to see how it looks just after the end of the surgery.

    Regards,

  21. This is a 37 year old patient who has restored his missing hair in the hairline and behind it.

With a total of 2700 grafts he filled up the area with good density so as to match the density of his existing hair.

HDC Hair Clinic, presents his result with clear and comparative photos of before, post op 8 months after. The patient is from Greece and he spends his days happily on the beach in the summer. This is the idea for restoring hair, so that you can be able to enjoy all summer and winter activities.

HDC once again give natural looking results with correct positioning of the hairline and as always with respecting the donor.

    Your comments are welcomed.

    Regards,

    Giuseppe
