  1. Could this matter be raised at the Amsterdam convention?
  2. I empathise with your situation Macca. When did your hair loss begin? There is little that can be done re the frontal recession, but by taking the meds and possibly regaine you should be able to stablise the top/back part of your head. You really want to hold out as long as poss re the transplant. It's not easy but try new hairstyles and wherever possible focus your attention on other matters. Have others commented on your hair situation?
  3. Gents, where can i find out more details please re location, schedule, cost etc? Cheers...
  4. Dr Gabel/Dr Feller, Firstly, thank you for taking part in this discussion - really appreciate the input and the info you're both providing. Paddy has commented that Dr Feriduni (a doctor that i'm seeing next month for a consultation) doesn't do the extractions himself. Is this also the same for your practices and should potential patients have any need for concern by this disclosure? Cheers...
  5. Hi Still, which surgeon did you go with for FUE? How involved was the surgeon in the whole process? Hope you have tremendous results!
  6. Sorry HH, didn't quite grasp your last pointer (sorry, its probably the way i'm reading it!). Bill/Spex/Others, are there any any other tools competing with the tool at present? If so, what doctors are using them please. For any one, that's considering a FUE, this kind of info is key (especially if a greater yield can be expected) Cheers...
  7. Thank you for your sound advice Bill. I'm looking forward to hearing the opinions of both Dr's in due course. Dr Gabel, thank you for making us aware of the changes your end - glad to hear that you consider it an improvement. Are you aware of any other doctors out there that are using this tool? I would be interested to hear their feedback also.
  8. Thanks Bill - good to know that Dr Shapiro is onboard to (if the tool does enhance results it can only be a good thing for any potential FUE patient). Just out of interest, would you consider this form of treatment if you required less than 2,000 grafts to your frontal zone? I will be having a consultation with both Dr Devroye & Dr Feriduni next month and will add this pointer to my discussion...
  9. Just been reading about Dr Fellars patented 'Feller Punch' which minimizes twisting forces and therefore should improve results. Are there many coalition doctors that are now using this tool and if not, why? As i'm considering FUE (some of this forum have stated that i might be a candidate), doesn't it really mean that my best options are limited to New York i.e Dr Fellars? If innovation is made, shouldn't all doctors be getting on board. It would be an absolute nightmare if got the op done in Europe and the results were shoddy...

  11. Who was the doctor in this case? Be interested to know the follow up on this...
  12. Hi Marvin, both my dad and grandfather (both on fathers side) were bald. Joy As for my mum's side, it's been hard to find out. Lots of mystery on that side of the family!
  13. Any more takers on this please? I ultimately don't want to consider the wrong surgeons...
  14. Cheer Spex. What is the forums general thoughts on who the most consistent FUE surgeons are please? Grateful for the top 2 from Europe and top 2 from States?
  15. MikeN, i am also considering the same thing. Would be interested to know how many other members on this forum have been taken extra doses per day of propecia and what the side effects have been - if any.
  16. Hi Augustus, i will just echo the other members on this forum Shop around and get on propecia (finasteride) asap. Good luck friend...
  17. Thanks to everyone who's responded on this. I'm 26 (27 in Feb) and hoping to get a ht this year (i've been losing hair since a teenager so really keen to do something about it this year). At the sametime, i concede that things could be a lot worse so counting my blessings also. Could you guys please expand on the FUE suggestion? I'm slightly suprised by the low estimations (i.e. 1200) but that would certainly save me some money if that's the case! Finally, is the PRP treatment (conducted by Dr Fellar) applicable to all regions of the hair - i.e. hairline, temples, crown etc. Appreciate nothings proven yet but just trying to plan my next moves! Thanks everyone...
  18. Okay, not starting any more posts today (this is my 3rd - sorry!). Can you people have a look at my pic and let me know how many grafts would be required to achieve this? Thanks a million! P.S. i have a virgin scalp

  20. Sorry Spex, can PRP be applied to all hair regions i.e. hairline/crown etc?
  21. Thanks Spex. Hi 1973. For me, i would probably take everything possible especially as propecia is proven to work in most men. You have certainly been taken them for a while though! Do you split the tablet or take one per day? I ran out of my 1mg recently (i borrowed some from another hairloss chap!) and had to start splitting them. My mind started to work overdrive when i thought i was losing some powder!
  22. All, i've been looking through the blogs and it seems that some patients experience a very bloody affair when it comes to their HT. In particular, it's quite scary looking at patients that have undergone an op with Dr Rahal (argued as one of the best) but i would like to know there is so such variance between doctors and patients? I'm aware that some patients respond differently but it does seem that some dr's generate much more of the red stuff!? I appreciate that this may not be detrimental to results but i would like to know more on this please. Is it the tools that are being utilised/the heavy number of incisions etc? Cheers all...
