  1. So how come you're able to achieve good density with 4500 grafts and I had 5000 grafts ( if I don't count the remaining 1900 ) implanted in the same area as yours with two different doctors and cannot achieve good density ?
  2. Did you see the immediate post op? the area where those 2500 grafts were implanted didn't extend all the way to where the crown begins as you said , mid scalp remained untouched
  3. You see in this picture that mid scalp wasn't touched during surgery ( remained unshaven), and that Dr Wong worked only on the crown ( 400 grafts) and frontal third ( 2500 grafts). So don't you expect to have a reasonable density with a total of 5000 grafts implanted on that area from two different doctors ? were your 4500 grafts implanted on the same area size ?
  4. You're wrong. This immediate post-op picture shows the placement of grafts and they were clearly placed on the front third and as you can see the mid scalp was untouched by Dr Wong, so not across the full top as you stated , also you have to add 2500 existing grafts from previous surgeries
  5. Dr Gillespie already implanted at least 2500 grafts on the frontal 3rd and DR Wong added another 2500 , If I don't count the grafts implanted on the crown and mid scalp. So how come with a total 5000 grafts on frontal 3rd, I'm not able to achieve good density ? I don't think my expectations were unreasonable for a total of 5000 grafts on the rontal 3rd
  6. It's already 7 month, and I know this is close to final results because I haven't seen any improvement since last month , so I don't expect huge changes in the next few months. Even Dr Wong admitted that any future growth will be minimal past this stage
  7. These aren't the goals I discussed with the consultant James, he promised me that I would have thick hair with the coverage that I already had , so I won't need to use Toppik anymore
  8. Did you read all the details of my case ? 2500 grafts on the frontal third weren't added to a bare scalp but to existing hair from previous two surgeries( Dr Gillespie implanted at least 2500 Grafts on the frontal third) . This is a pre-op picture from last year and you clearly see that there was already coverage on the front scalp and Dr Wong didn't work on a bare scalp. So would expect thicker results given the fact that Dr Wong worked on an Area with some coverage
  9. First , the results posted by Doug are 7 month not 6 month. I know there are rare cases of slow growers but this is not my case because I no longer see fine hair coming out and also haven't seen any improvement since last month that means the growth has stopped. And even if there would be any improvement it would be minimal at this stage,
  10. If it was a matter of maturing I would notice fine hair like the ones I saw at month 4 and 5. Like in the link you just posted above the patient could see that his new grown hair still look fine. Also the fact that I haven't see any improvement since last month is a sign that it already stopped growing and maturing.
  11. From my experience with previous surgeries, there's not much growth after month 6, even Dr Wong admitted that any new growth at this stage would be minimal. Also I think most of hair has matured because I no longer see fine hair that just came out . I haven't seen any improvement since last month, so I'm not positive it would improve.
  12. Thanks Doug. Just wanted to clarify that I didn't have just one procedure, I already had a couple of procedures with another clinic and the total of three procedures is 6900 grafts not 2900 grafts which were added only in the third procedure and there was already some coverage done by the other clinic. If 2900 grafts were done on a bare scalp , I would have expected it to be thin. But there was already some coverage to support the additional 2900 grafts. So I was expecting to have thick hair as I discussed my goals with the consultant James before surgery. I have even asked him if I would need to continue to use Toppik after surgery and he answered " No , what's the point of having a surgery then?", So the fact that I still rely on Toppik after the surgery to make it look good proves that the results didn't meet my expectations. Also James already gave an estimate of a minimum 3000 grafts which is close to what Dr Wong was able to pull ( 2902) grafts, so my expectations was to get thick hair with this number of grafts added to an area with some existing coverage.
  13. I had a consultation today with Dr Wong and Doug and I asked Doug to post my 7 months pictures
  14. Yes you're right the ones who told me that were either non balding guys or female friends. My friends who are bald were less judgmental and even admitted that when they started balding it bothered them at the beginning but now they got used to it and decided to move on in their life.
  15. When I told my friends, that I was planning to have a hair transplant surgery their reaction was " What? you pays thousands of dollars just for your hair issues? You must have a very low self esteem because a lot of guys are bald and don't care, why don't shave your head?" Do you think they are right, when they pointed that paying a lot of money and going through surgery pain just because someone feels bad about balding is a sign of low self esteem ?
  16. Actually I comb my hair to the back to add more layer to mid scalp and crown, and it shows some more scalp in the front hairline/ I'm Norwood 6
  17. Actually this is exactly what happened to me with Dr Gillespie in Calgary. The first procedure looked natural but the low density made it look cosmetically unacceptable , so when I came back to check the results, he told me "You need a second procedure to achieve density"and the second procedure didn't achieve acceptable density without using concealers but then he said" Yes it's very normal for a hair transplant to show scalp".
  18. According to news, the hairstylist of French president gets paid $11K per month. Francois Hollande has a receding hairline, if he spends so much money on his Hair, why he just doesn't get a Hair Transplant? French President Francois Hollande spends $11K a month -- on his hair French President Francois Hollande spends $11K a month -- on his hair The Socialist leader's personal stylist earned $11,000 a month, the investigative weekly newspaper, Le Canard Enchain?, revealed this week. That salary is on par with Cabinet ministers and a third less than the president’s take-home pay. Per capita income in France is less than $3,500 a month.
  19. For example women with fake boobs are a turn off for me, I would prefer small natural boobs rather than enhanced fake ones
  20. Thanks. I was wondering what's the point of having a HT if you continue using concealers or whether using them means the HT was a failure
  21. Hi , Thank you for the follow up. The photos taken outdoors in a bus stop and the photos taken in the clinic aren't taken under the same lighting and angle. My after pictures would look worse under strong light, so that's why I compared my after pictures to pictures taken last year exactly in the same spot to be more accurate . I think the pictures taken in the clinic were using strong lighting, if you compare them to pictures taken in the bus shelter just few months before surgery. I'm coming next week to see Dr Wong in person and take 7 months post-op pictures , feel free to post them in this thread
  22. Almost 7000 ( 6900 grafts). in three procedures with two different recommended surgeons in this forum
  23. Would you be happy with a low density HT with a see through scalp but that would give enough hairs to continue with concealers ?
  24. If you use a spray after putting fibers, the fibers will stick to your hair and won't get in her hands
