Hey man, I hope you don't mind me using your recent pictures for education purpose?
I found them extremely interesting and I didn't show your face! :)

I don't mind at all dude :)  What I did was partially for educational purposes and I am glad to see someone used it the right way.

Already watched your video above and I wish you good luck with your second HT.

Love this! I Wish it was done more often. @Rolandas plans to do this over his entire transplanted area when he goes in for his second HT :)

I'm always surprised by the number you get when actually counting the grafts. Simply looking at the zoomed-out photos, I would have thought the density was lower.

    Your native density is insane.

Any idea what your hair caliber is?

I hope more people do this and we all (forum members) can benefit.

The reason why my transplanted hair density looking lower is because of my native hair density being really high.

My caliber was never measured but I was told to have thicker hair than average.

  3. The pandemic is hitting hard these days. Barber shops are closed in LA. I have been wanting to see the yield and density of the operations I had 4 and 2.5 yeas ago. Also wanted to check if there is any recession on the original (pre HT) hairline and crown. So I shaved my hair :)

I put in some effort to count the grafts per cm square, transplanted in the mid-front of the hairline and left/right temples as well as non-transplanted native hair.

    Enjoy :)

You are right! 35! people usually tell me I am 26 or 28 xD

Btw I meant to say this before:

Yep, you definitely look younger than hour age which is great thing. 25 months ago, you were 33 , I checked the video 😁

Did you consider Dr Couto before the first op?  If you did, how long was the wait and how much does he charge (if you know)?

  5. Your hair density is fine. You have course hair and the transplanted area looks dense enough. You can never have the natural density of non-transplanted hair unless you have 80 or more grafts per cm sq. That is super hard to achieve with one operation and unnecessary when the donors are limited. Your expectation was set wrong in the beginning. Any transplanted hair even some of the non-transplanted ones look weak under harsh light.

If I need to criticize, I see two issues looking at your hairline:

    - You could have more single grafts on the immediate hairline.
    - Your hairline at temple points could have been higher.

Thanks 🙂 Yes you are right, hoping for some improvement in the next 6 months. I think my donor also looks OK in case I would decide to improve the crown in the future. I should have 3200 grafts left.

If I would do another HT I might also consider filling in the temples a bit and lowering the hair line slightly, but my friends have told me it wouldn't look natural. What do you guys think?

I just checked your postop photos for your hairline density and the same at 1 year mark. Don’t spend your limited donor grafts tryin to fill in the temples or lowering your hairline. Instead, increase your frontline and crown density.

  7. Congrats on your both procedures. Looking at your photos after the first HT, I was going to suggest you a touch up on your immediate hairline. Scrolling down the page, I saw you had the second HT 😊

Increasing the density and little peak in the middle will make your hair look more natural; very good decision (I would do the same)

    How old are you?

How much does the doctor charge per graft?

I have talked with his translator and sadly due to covid, it got on hold. Though from what I have seen of his work (your case and others) I think I'll go with him.

I'm mostly dealing with temples and some front hair, he suggested 2500-2000.

Covid is terrible right now. I don't suggest anyone to travel right now. You can have your HT in summer or fall.

Yeah, guess I just gotta wait now and see how they turn out.

Is my case peculiar or do we have other surgeons planting the grafts the way I have recieved them? Could you please show me a few good temple cases here? I looked at other Eugenix cases and they seem to be doing the temples more or less the same way.

Perhaps one method doesn't fit everyone, with my hair though it's getting a little apparent as they grow.

I had been dreaming of getting back my temples for 2 years now. I'm praying they come off good at the moment.

Temple work is a tough one. You want the directions and the calibers/colors of the transplanted grafts matching the original ones. I am yet to see a perfect example but providing the links for what I consider as very good ones:

  10. When I saw your temples, I immediately noticed the angles of the transplanted grafts not aligning with the natural flow of the original hair you pointed out.

Wait till everything comes out (6-8 months) and see how/if those blend especially when they are long. Worst case scenario, you can get those removed by electrolysis and then get another temple job but ask them to harvest from sides for the temple work next time.

@Lucian you have selected two really bad options.

ASMED is a expensive Turkish Hairmill with technicians operating on up to 8 patients per day. They were kicked out of HRN because of unethical behaviour towards patients that are HRN members.

Yaman has several botched results on HRN and other foruns.

Turkey is the world capital of botched hair transplants because it`s mostly all inclusive hairmills or low cost doctors both using underpaid technicians without any medical background (former taxi drivers or dishwashers) to do your surgery.

Ofcourse there are also good options in Turkey but from what we have concluded at HRN only HLC Ankara is a safe bet in Turkey. Here you have a Doctor doing your whole surgery using a highly skilled technique but the price goes to 2.5€/graft.

If you are looking for a low cost option you should consider Dr. Demirsoy at 1.25€/graft but be warned that he does pre-made slits and has technicians do the implating phase. However, he does only have 1 patient per day.

    List.jpg

This is an awesome work, great list Portugal!

I did not know Asmed was kicked out of HRN. I know that they were not getting good results last couple of years but was there more than that? What happened? Any links?
