The main reason is that my maximum budget is €3 per graf[t/COLOR]. I know both doctors to be very reputable, although there seems to be a number of negative reviews against Dr Erdogan, but they are out of my price range.

 

I know everyone has a price range, but isn't this the reason people get burned with HTs?

Update: 2 months 3 days. Close up of my problem area included. Still havent shed, the hairs there are still hard.

Something just isn't adding up. If the motive is that he would get the Dr.'s undivided attention, then I still don't get it. A HT isn't a science project you can just clean up and try again if it fails...

He's receiving far too much attention already.

 

He was a trusted physician who chose to compromise his own ethical standards at the expense of several forum and non-forum members. I have no sympathy or interest in helping him restore his reputation. Let him do it on his own..... the old-fashioned way.

I'm two months post op with Dr. R and still have some redness. I think if you have pale skin and get a dense pack, the redness is going to linger for longer. I'm getting some mild early growth at two months, too, so hopefully you'll see some action soon!

@HTsoon, thanks for the kind words mate. a fair bit of my confidence has gone with the hair too. I have a 5 day holiday lined up for Koh Samui over New Years and im thinking of just shaving my head and living under a cap, as for the whole shockloss sage, from what i have been reading that massive shockloss seems to be more common with guys having their 2nd HT and who have large amounts of existing hair, and 9 times out of 10 it all grows back nicely.

i don't think actually masterbating is a problem, i've done it, and i'm doing it now while typing one handed. I'm currently day 6 post op, but i bashed one out on day 4 no problems, it's more the exertion of actual real sex post op, which involves more than a one armed tugging motion.

 

Most post op instructions say don't do any strenuous exercise and that covers sex.

 

Jerk it with piece of mind that you are not harming your grafts.

I'm not sure if Dr Doganay or his rep is still on this forum but I have a proposition for him. As someone who currently considering getting a hair transplant, I would be happy to volunteer to get a procedure done by Dr Doganay, at his normal price, provided he can provide a guarantee that he will be involved in the entire process - harvesting, extracting, incisions and implanting.

 

I will document the entire transplant process, including a video of the entire surgery, and make it available for public viewing on youtube. I will post before and after shots and ensure I post updated photos on a monthly basis at a minimum. All post surgery problems, including any discussions and interactions with the doctor will also be thoroughly documented.

 

To address any concerns of my review being 'bought', I can only say that I am a recent member of this forum but I have been a long standing member of another very reputable hair loss forum (this can be verified with my user name). I am very objective and will provide a fair review.

 

If Dr Doganay, and lets face it - this forum, would like to restore their reputation, this would be a great way of doing so.

The only way I would that is if the surgery was free based on all the terrible reviews the Dr. has...

Looks pretty healthy. Did you use all the ATP post op? Time should take care of the redness, but make sure you're using a sulfate free shampoo.

Youre at the cusp 1.5 month was my worst look, give it a couple more months and you'll be like a chia pet happy growing.

Just a quick 8.5 month update. I am very happy with results so far. Has been a life changer for me!

 

It is an amazing feeling to not have to worry about wind direction or overhead lighting and to be able to comb and style my hair again without using any concealer.

 

I would highly recommend Dr. Jerry Wong!

Will the redness EVER go away?? Thoughts?

Whether or not bill bans Dr D (which it appears he won't) the damage to Dr D's reputation has already been done. Things last forever on the internet. If anyone is sensible enough to do a search of him here , they will stumble across these threads and probably run a mile.

 

What may remain in question here is this website's (HRN) credibility. There are probably quite a few people who are thinking from this that HRN's annual subscription means more to them than patients' best interests. (not saying this is the case at all but this may be the perception)

I agree - I know I wouldn't see him. I know every Dr. Is different with different results,

But if he or she is recommended here than, I would expect above average results.

I'm at the 4 month mark exactly.

Still do not not have anything close to resembling a socially acceptable result or look!!! It doesn't appear like it will be socially and cosmetically passable for quite some time. It sucks!

I feel like just taking a razor to it and shaving my entire head bald some days!

 

It's still red, discolored, and has textural visual abnormalities and irregularities to the recipient area. I just look like an odd ball and I cringe at times seeing myself in the mirror now. It's not cool. I'll try and post a pic to give everyone and idea. I still am required to wear a hat. My family wouldn't say it directly, but I'm certain they would be most embarrassed to be see with me in public without a hat on. Bottom line.....I'm still regretting it. That has not changed!

TY Harry for taking your time to write this up! Amazing job with great info.! Hearing from someone else who has lived with this 'redness/bumpiness' (or probably more accurately described in my case as a noticeable discoloration and textural abnormalities) problem for years helps give perspective to my issues.

 

I just can sense that after a four months of this redness/bumpiness that there is really NO way that it appears it is ever going to go completely away and resolve. Too much trauma was done to the tissue to 'fully' heal back to entirely undetectable. There will liklely always remain some trace indicator and permenant discoloration and texture irregularities to the recipient area. I defy myself to peer into a mirror without taking notice and silently reprimanding myself for what I've done. Especially after being in a hot shower like you said previously. It becomes very red after showers. I could be back up for Santas sleigh in case Rudolph can't go for any reason. LOL.

 

I haven't left the house without a hat, not even once. Nor will I.

I honestly doubt I will ever love this HT. Really just wanted my youth back more than anything. A FUE or any HT is a poor substitute for a fountain of youth. Now I just look 'odd' to myself. When I walk past the mirror, it's like at initial glance, I'm looking at an imposter. It's a strange feeling to try and describe to get someone to understand. My new hairline is totally unfamiliar, even when I was a younger man I did not have this low of a hairline. It just look different," not me," and it bothers me.

 

Which is sad because my exit strategy was a buzz down with a 1 or no guard. That's one reason I opted for the FUE. Now with that awkward unfortunate looking redness discoloration slight bumpy texture to my forehead scalp recipient area, it will make my inevitable exit strategy much more difficult and very noticeable. By the time I'm ready to buzz down and throw in the towel with regards to my hair, I doubt I may really care much about saving the follicles or damaging them I think. So V beam and micro needles all sounds like good options. Thank you very much for those suggestions.

 

Ultimately Im sure grow to accept this and hopefully forgive myself. But, I sincerely feel at least on some level I will remain regretful of my decision to go the HT route. Acceptance of who I am and accepting the natural aging process with dignity would have been my best option. However, I lack self confidence and was self conscious of my aging, age related hair loss, and losing my youth, losing my looks.

Lesson learned for me. I seriously doubt I will ever opt for any further augmentations of my appearance in the future.

Ok, I've isolated 2 surgeons for my next HT: Hasson and Rahal. But I've seen work from Turkey which is amazing! I particularly like Alvi Armani. Do you think Turkish docs are the best? If so which do you recommend?

Yes it's very possible that those areas will grow back a tad bit slower however there should not be any permanent issue with it.

Since you already have a strip scar, I would go with another strip scar. As long as the previous scar was done in the proper area, the Dr will overlap the old one and you will still have only one scar in the same location as you do now. Unless there's a specific reason why you want FUE, just go with FUT.

Would this be a completely new scar? Is FUE better to just leave the the first one alone?

The hair on the back of my head has grown to the point that the scar is completely hidden, but the hair on the sides is still sparse. I'm only 5 weeks post-op.

And in terms of FUE vs FUT, I'll go with FUT since I want to ensure that the harvest quality is high. With FUE, some of the follicles can actually die rendering lower hair count and growth.

Your hair looks great! This guy is a troll looking for unrealistic expectations which is a Dr.s nightmare. There was a young kid when I was at Rahal who had come in for a "free touch up" because of a spot that he didn't feel came in correctly. Myself and three other guys looked at his head and couldn't find anything wrong - this guy would end up being like him.

I appreciate the pics but no offense, the pics arent extensive HTs. Theyre more like patients who went in for touch ups in the temple area. Theyre barely challenging HTs. Can you post links of recent patients who got more extensive work done?

 

Also, can you post links of pics of patients who've had 50 hair follicles/cm squared? This is very important for me to see.
