  1. All the best. Please keep us updated with your progress. Okay, cant leave without making the pun. "Head"ed for Belgium. (Pun intended)
  2. got the chance to check the thread only when it got bumped up. From 5.5 months to 9 months, dude went from many phases. From not so happy to very happy but concealing his happiness. And as someone mentioned above, many people here would kill for those results. And yes, even I feel the OP is living his life to the fullest and we might not see another update anymore.
  3. But, without lifting the hair, nothing is visible. It looks just like normal.
  4. Attaching a pic of stitches after 12 days. It isnt clear but can be easily seen how it will look after some days. There is a lot of scabbing on my head and i feel like itching a lot. Just waiting for three more days for the oil/gentle shampoo rubbing to rub off the scabs.
  5. According to the information I gathered going through this forum: The transplanted hair grows fine but slowly starts going thin because of the DHT that is still prevalent in your scalp. With help of finasteride, you can block the DHT and make life of your transplanted hair longer.
  6. I was taking Finpecia 3 months before surgery which she asked me to continue. She also asked me to start on Minoxidil, for which when I cited the dandruff issue, she said you can take Nizoral shampoo to overcome it. And when I particularly asked for any multivitamin tablets, she suggested some.
  7. Man, what a transformation. So how much do you think you shed? Not hair, but years from your appearance This is a very good result. I took the liberty and prepared a pre-op and current picture mashup with your pictures. I hope it is fine with you. Attaching it in here. This has been a great success. Congratulations for your hair, mate. I had my procedure with Dr Radha as well. I am 10 days post op. Your post gives me so much of pleasure and confidence. Hope I be happy as you after 1 year and 8 days.
  8. Thanks for the info, man. With 4461 grafts, you gonna get a great yield as it is already evident with your current growth. Edit: How much time did it take for your scar to heal? I just got my stitches removed yesterday. The pain is not there but when it touch it stings.
  9. Got my stitches removed. It was not painful but a bit stingy. But I feel it was totally easy and nothing to be bummed of. After coming back I saw some videos of hair transplant stitches removal on youtube with my friend and he told me he could have done this as it looks so easy On a different note, the person who cut my stitches was amazed seeing transplanted head. (It was his first sight of a transplant) He asked me the details where I got it done from as he was planning the same. Started showing me his head asking what is it gonna cost him. For a moment, the patient became the doctor. :D
  10. One thing i would like to ask, how much area did Doctor tell you she covered?
  11. Thanks Magnumpi for your input. I will go to the clinic as you suggested. On the other note, here are my day 7 pictures. I see permanent black bulbs at the grafts base. Hope that is all fine.
  12. I will be going for stitches removal today. Is this process any complicated? The thing is, there is a decent clinic nearby which I intend to go to and there is a more reputed clinic a bit far from my place(Apollo clinic). Will it be fine if I get it done by the clinic nearby or should I go to the reputed one only?
  13. No David, it was my own stupid deduction to leave it for 4-5 mins before washing it off. The grafts get white but turn back to normal within five minutes after they dry. I guess they are fine. Now that I dont let shampoo for long and dont soak my grafts much, the white bulbs arent coming up right after bath. I checked various post op procedures as well, there was mention of this thing as well and it was written that it doesnt affect the grafts. Well, i hope everything is fine. Thanks for sharing the link, quite informative.
  14. Nice results so far. Seems like there was never a scar. The front looks good for 4 months. It's just 25% of your transplanted hair so you can assume what killer performance you gonna pull in next few months.
  15. Thank God it doesnt affect the grafts in a wrong way. I had my heart in my mouth for a moment. Thanks Tav1 for the information. Highly appreciated.
  16. This time after cleaning, took a picture to put in here. Please take a look. I see a lot of white stuff in the scalp. I have seen it in other people's threads as well but I feel I have this a lot and it's just day 4. There isn't any reason to panic over it, or is it? I am using baby shampoo to wash my scalp dabbing with light hands, let lather stay there for 5 minutes, wash my sutures in the meantime and wash it over. Also, the head band was taken off today. No signs of swelling, maybe because i religiously kept the band on for 3 days continuously even while sleeping. Kindly comment on this white residue thing. Many thanks.
  17. A lot depends on a lot of factors, I suppose. With FUE, there is no scar like there is in FUT. But if you need another procedure down the line and you already had an FUE, the graft density for FUT will be a little less because of the grafts picked in first surgery. If you do FUT first, there is always an option to go for FUE for second procedure. But if you need less grafts right now, and your hairfall is stable then why bother with a scar, FUE would be great. So, in my opinion, it all depends on your planning for future procedures after this one along with the number of grafts you need right now. As you are norwood 2A, somewhere around 1500-2000 would be your target, for which I would have chosen FUE if I had the option. Some senior guy please correct me if I am wrong anywhere above. This website is a gold mine for your research, as I found in my case. You can pick surgeons of your liking, see his/her work to check if it suits your needs and can plan a consultation. Check out the list of recommended surgeons in here.
  18. For real? Lol. I do not think it would be a reason for grafts to fall, even if you think about the blood circulation thing. Not all blood is going to your head and not all blood is going to your junk when you are playing with it. As doctors say, after 2-3 days the grafts are hinged to your scalp. So it is nearly impossible for them to pop out unless there was some force or unfortunate hit to your grafted area.
  19. Thanks David for your input. For documentation, I have ordered Tugain foam and solution both. Planning to use twice a day. If solution gives me irritation or something, i ll switch to foam only. Otherwise, foam in the morning and solution in the evening. Nizoral will be starting from 15th July. Biotin tablet from today. After bath, I see white remains like thing at the base of grafts, this should be a normal thing I guess?
  20. Yes Rawkerboi, thanks for making me aware about it. I am thinking about getting foam and solution both, foam for the morning and solution for the night. I read about foam and solution difference and the glycol in solution actually helps minoxidil go under the skin, although it causes irritation and greasy feeling (using in the night and taking bath in the morning will cancel out the greasy feeling). How do you think about this, as you are more experienced about this stuff?
  21. Thanks Matt, I would say your assessment was along with the line with the doctor. I wanted more grafts but she said that it is better to stay around 3000 and see your results. If you want more, you can have another procedure later but let us not kill the valuable donor by overdoing. I would be happy to get your inputs on my progress and queries I have posted on my HT thread. Many thanks to you and this forum which gave me the courage to cross the threshold.
  22. Thanks Rawkerboi for your inputs. As you suggested, I will buy foam version of it. One doubt though, does transplanted hair react to minoxidil? I mean if i start using it and then stop it, will my transplanted hair start falling because of stopping minoxidil? Other way to ask, will the newly transplanted hair get addicted to minoxidil in a negative way? Also, how does the density look at this point?
  23. Just received op pictures from Dr Radha, so sharing in here. Can anyone suggest what brand of minoxidil solution is available in India? And should I use 2% minoxidil or 5% minoxidil. I searched a bit and got confused. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Edit: Tugain 5% solution and Regaine 5% solution are available in India. Both of them are same I guess?
  24. Have been following the regimen religiously. Baby shampoo twice a day with dabbing only on the grafts. Continuing Finpecia 1mg. Will start minoxidil and nizoral after 15 days. The head band is there yet. According to the doctor, the head band should be off from tomorrow but i see a bit of swelling on my forehead. Not able to sleep properly as there is some pain in stitches time and again. The head band covers my stitches region behind, that is fine I guess? Have been taking extra care, not bending head much forward, mostly keeping tilted backwards(my own theory that this way scar wont stretch, could be stupid ). Also putting on the same shirt while clicking all pics, this way the difference can be found easily as nothing else changes other than grafts while moving along the pic journey. (Again some of my stupid theory:D) Here are the third day pics. Any inputs are welcome. Mostly I would like to know how dense it looks from the pics. I see some native hair left untouched by the doctor in the midscalp. These should grow as well along with the grafts. As mentioned in the first post, I am working from home, not going out at all. Keeping the grafts open and using bandana inside home for short periods only (When someone comes in, dont want to explain my cook or maid what has happened to my head).
