  1. From personal experience Dr. Dieps prices are comparable to the top FUE Dr's in the US. You will get cheaper prices oversea's of which many of forum members have gone.
  2. Hi Everyone. I just wanted to stop by and post of pictures of my progress... For reference you can go check out the thread I started 4 months ago. As you can see there is growth there. I am happy with my progress. The peach fuzz is now stubble and I am very excited. The crown of my head I feel most excited about as I feel like its filling out very nicely! Maybe its a combination of the Propecia, Rogain and implanted hairs. The shock loss in the back of my head has now subsided and I can see hair starting to grow back. I still have some shock loss on the top left and right side of my head as it is thin but I am hoping that will start to grow back like the back of my head. I noticed also that in the morning when I am applying my Rogain and when I am applying shampoo to my head, that I see 4-5 hairs that have shed. Is this something to be concerned about? Anyways here are my 4 month post op pictures. Any questions, thoughts or comments are welcome!
  3. Dr dieps costs is tiered . Depends on how many follicals
  4. Looks incredible. I am having some dry scalp issues. What shampoo are you using?
  5. Thanks jkm3. your growth looks way more than mine at the same point in time but I am optimistic! Thank you for your comments. Reassurance be fellow HT members is very encouraging.
  6. Hi Everyone. I just wanted to stop by and post of pictures of my progress... you can see the thread I started 3 months ago. As you can see there is some growth there. I am happy with my progress. I can see the peach fuzz growth and can't wait for it to start growing. I have experienced some shock loss in the back and sides of my donor area and hope it is going to grow back... Anyways here are my 3 month post op pictures. Any questions, thoughts or comments are welcome!
  7. Are you getting pimples in the donor area or recipient? I'm not getting any in the recipient area but some in the donor area.
  8. Hi Everyone, I just wanted to continue with my progress. I am 2 months post op. They don't call this time the "ugly duckling" period for nothing! I find myself wearing a hat most of the time. I shedded about 90% of my planted hair and I have had some shock loss in a spot in the back of my head. The donor area is slowly coming back but I feel like there is some shock loss there too. It isn't coming back as dense a pre op. I know that it won't be but I do feel like there is some shock loss there. I am also experiencing some dry scalp. I have tried several shampoos and finally found one that agrees with my scalp. There still is some dry spots but its much less than before. I so have some spots where it was dry and I picked at it and you can see that those spots are growing slower. With that being said, I do see hairs growing in and I am very excited and optimistic. I am still on Rogain twice a day and Fin. Dr Diep says to continue with the medication and the shock loss should go away and the hair should come back within 6-8 months. Again, I am very optimistic and hoping for a great result.... What are your thoughts with my progress? Keep in mind I have already had 2 hair cuts. First hair cut, I did cut the top to try to keep it all even but shedding happened so 2nd cut was just the sides. Left the top alone.
  9. Hi Everyone, I recently got my HT Jan 28 2015. I believe everything is going well. I can see little hairs growing and am very excited. My excitment was trumped as I just noticed this spot in the back of my head. It looks like shock loss. SOmething that I was hoping not to get. I wanted to get anyones opinion on this. I am on Fin and Rogain sice week 2 and my Dr said that it should grow back. With that being said, nothing is certain. I just hope and pray that it is temporary. Pictures are below. Let me know your thoughts.
  10. Yeah he's very underrated but his work speaks for itself. I had my consult in early january and booked a date in Late May. I asked the booking secretary to keep me on the cancellation list just in case he had someone cancel. I waited 2 weeks and got a call that they had an opening for a Thursday in a week. So I got lucky. I just found out another forum member has to wait until late March for just a consult. As I stated he's very busy and has a 5-6 wait. But at the end of the day, that is what you want in a doctor.
  11. Please follow my thread. I update it pretty often with pictures. I just uploaded my 1 month post op pictures.... http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/178272-my-procedure-dr-diep-fue-2500-grafts.html
  12. Hell Everyone I wanted to just update everyone with my post op 1 month. I have incurred the dreaded shedding stage where if I were to guesstimate percentage wise of hairs shedding, I would guesstimate 35%. With that being said, I also have encountered dry scalp of which I have been testing out several different organic shampoos. I have found one that has helped me out a lot so my dry scalp has become better with just a few dry spots here and there. I am hoping that this shampoo will do it for me. Anyways, I have finally started to sleep on my pillow like the pre op days. The numbness is slowly subsiding. The donor area feel is getting back to normal. Still not completely there but its getting there. The recipient area still has a ways to go. With that being said, the donor and recipient area are all healed up and and looks like pre op days. So I am very happy about that. I have already had my first hair cut. My regular hair was growing faster than my transplanted hair so I had to cut it so it was all even. I have not experienced any shock loss so again i am very happy about that also. Here are pictures of my post op 1 month....
  13. So Ill tell you about my experience. I am Post Op 1 month. My surgery date was January 29th. I had FUE performed by Dr. Diep whom is considered one of the best FUE doctors in the country. He has an office in the south bay area in Northern California. My surgery was for 2500 grafts but ended up doing around 3000. Dr. Diep has a tiered pricing plan where the more grafts you agree on, the less per graft. I paid 6.80 per graft. He will not agree to more than 2500 per procedure but will make the assessment if he can do more at the time of the procedure depending on how he sees it going. With that being said, I am very happy with how my procedure went. 2 weeks post of and you couldn't tell I had a procedure performed. At this point for me, its a waiting game. Waiting for my new found confidence to grow via my hair follicles. With that being said, Dr. Diep is endorsed by this site and he does have a youtube web page you can visit. With that being said, good luck! Let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
  14. This site endorses some great doctors. Are you looking for someone nearest you? Do you mind traveling? What's your budget? Also you have to take timing into consideration. Most good doctors have a 5-6 months booked out.
  15. I believe it's a tiered pricing approach. Depending on how many grafts then that would be your pricing. I don't exsctly remember what it is but I had 2500 and paid 6.80 per. As stated not cheap but comperable to the great dr listed here.
  16. Should you still have redness in the recipient area 3 months post op? I'm close to 1 month and I don't have much redness left and my donor area has grown out to a point that you can't tell anything was done.
  17. As stated he is not cheap buy certainly not expensive compared to Reputable US Dr.s. Europe is another story.
  18. Are you doing Fue or fut "strip method"? Do you have a budget? I recently had my procedure dive with dr diep whom is located in the bay area. He one of the best Fue dr in the country and is recommended or endorsed my this website. Let me know if u have any questions on the procedure. You can follow my thread or send me a pm. Just Denver to do your research beifore you make any decision. GL
  19. Dr. Diep will only do 2500 each session. Possibly do 3000 if he feels comfortable at the time. Otherwise it will require you to do 2 sessions. With that being said with that many follicals I think it would be around 6.50 per. He's located in a few locations but I had mine done in Los Gatos CA. It's the Bay Area. He's book about 5 months out so it's a little bit of a wait. Most great Dr.'s will have this wait time. That's a red flag if they can take you right away. He also had a complimentary car service to pick you up the air port, to and from the hotel also. Let me know if you have any questions. Lastly he is also endorsed by this web site so you can feel confident in making this decision. gL
  20. I bought one of those pillows that you buy when you travel on airplanes and i sleep with that. It has helped me TREMENDOUSLY. I would not and cannot sleep straight on a pillow. It feels too weird because of the numbness.
  21. Pior to my HT I was on regain for about 7 years. I was very consistent on applying the foam so it saved what hair I had left. With that being said, I did not take propica. I am currently on Propecia right now along with regain. You have to do what you can to protect your investment. The side effects only happen in 1% of the patients. And if your are unlucky with the 1% then cut the dose in half and take half a pill. Give yourself 1 month to get used to the medication and then make a full decision. You can take your chance and not take anything but its a very expensive risk you are taking. GL
  22. That is exactly what I did with the meds. I am shedding now. Post Op days 20-30 are when the implanted hairs shed. There is about 60 of the hairs left and hoping to keep them. You are doing the right thing. Ensure that you do what you can to protect your investment! Cant wait to see some of your pictures! GL and happy healing!
