7 1/2 month update...

I can only speak from my own experience but dr bhatti and his team are amazing value for money. I was abit concerned about my grafts looking abit 'spaced apart' at first but it's grown in great so be patient and happy growing it'll be fine

I think it worked out at around ?1 a graft which when you compare it to some places is an absolute bargain. They recommend biotin and propecia with abit or regaine for the first 6 months but im gonna carry on with them as luckily had no side effects. Shera (Iggy) is your man to speak to regarding deposits, flights etc he sorted everything out for us everything was a breeze. We were both very sceptical about going all the way to India but for the sake of catching a flight you get the same (if not better) service for a fraction of the uk price so it was a no brainer really for us

Yeah I'd say its blended in very nicely i don't think you could even tell I'd had a procedure done to be honest. There's a pic of the hair just as i was getting a shower and a closer pic of the hairline

Ok so a little about me first.... I'm 33 from Manchester Uk a place where losing your hair is certainly not cool when you have the likes of Oasis, Stone Roses and up the road the Beatles as icons all with incredible haircuts. Luckily as a kid i had great hair and bad every hairstyle under the sun growing up... Fast forward to mid 20's and i started to notice my hair wasn't quite what it was slightly receding...anyway cant notice it at the minute I can easy cover it with my fringe....heaven forbid it would rain or a gust of wind would expose for the fraud i was! Certain hairstyles were now not an option....sweep it back or a side parting were no no's as i had to cover up at all costs! Late 20's now and im running out of time fringe is getting whispier oh god what am i gonna do! Oh hang on Wayne Rooney has had it done, James Nesbitt, Rob Brydon, Callum Best oh wait maybe there IS an option. So i started researching. All my spare time i would read review after review on this superb forum. I wanted value for money without sacrificing quality of surgeon (don't we all) i couldn't justify spending 15k+ on a hair transplant as my gf and i were currently in the processing of buying a house. I wanted someone i could trust who was reputable but didn't cost an arm and a leg. Thats when i stumbled across Dr Bhatti.... So after numerous excellent reviews i messaged the person who's story had inspired me most on here...Shera as most people know him on here. Within an hour or so i had an email back and we spoke and went through everything and my mind was made up...INDIA it was. 1 problem try explaining that 1 to your mates and your missus when you live in Manchester! So my best friend and myself (he also wanted to get it done) decided together we'd book flights and head over there.... So flights are now booked and Shera who's fantastic guided us through every step from visas to travel pillows on the plane to hotels and things to do in Chandigarh. After lengthy discussions with the gf and friends it was time to board the flight...we both had nothing to lose now was the time to act no way im going bald without a fight... Flight was a breeze arrived in Chandigarh to be greeted by a chauffeur from Darling buds who took us to our hotel Ab's which was like a premier inn back in the uk got everything you need and was ridiculously cheap. We explored Chandigarh which is a beautiful place and felt like we were on holiday. Next day was the consultation with Dr Bhatti was so impressed with the clinic so clean and modern all my fears about Indian stereotypes went out of the window this place was better than anywhere in the UK. So hairline was drawn and ready to go... The procedure was a breeze also stopping off for lunch inbetween then when all was done we got a lift back to our hotel for lots of rest. The clinic gave us meds and a care package to adhere too which we did religiously. As we headed back to the airport we both looked at each other and were like "what was all the fuss about? We've had a hair transplant, a holiday, seen new cultures, met some great people and its all cost probably half of what it would have cost in the uk" Im currently 7 months post op and have attached my pics from along the way. My advice to anyone thinking of going through with it is...whats the worst that can happen? If losing your hair is bothering you that much then act now, do your research and go for it!

Really inspirational blog shera enjoyed the story the line about picking the kids up and the wind blowing in your hair and it actually feeling good rather than panicking was 1 us crafty combers can relate too! Me and my mate are based in manchester thinking of going to dr bhatti if it would be possible to speak to you and get some info on flights etc would be greatly appreciated, cheers

Thanks for everyones advice ive been researching dr bhatti and he seems excellent and does 85% of the work himself which is 1 thing that has put me off dr doganay reading some awful reviews. Is dr bhatti very reputable then? I hadn't really considered him before many thanks

Thanks guy some very sound advice. Was considering bisanga or feriduni but after reading some great reviews on doganay and being on IAHRS website i opted for him. Was only recently some very scathing reviews have appeared and now im very much worried

We will lose the money for the flights yes but im very sceptical now about going through with the procedure after reading all the negative reviews on here. Should i pull the plug do you reckon?

Ok guys after lots of research and years of studying this forum my friend and myself (both based in manchester) decided that pound for pound we'd opt for dr hakan doganay as his results compiled with price was excellent so we booked our flights for next year and set a date.... Then.... Ive read umpteen recent bad reviews on the clinic, poor growth etc. Im now wondering should we abort mission and possibly just go to another doctor? Any recommendations on which doctors many thanks guys

Well it was your review that made me think uh oh as i thought dr doganay was one of the elite. Read an excellent review of dr ekrem civas but hes not often mentioned on this forum

Hi guys as a long time surfer of this fantastic forum ive decided turkey is going to be my destination due to price and results. I was just looking for some advice on who you guys think is the best surgeon mentioned out of the 3 above pound for pound. Many thanks guys I'll be making my decision based on people's experiences and research
