  1. They will go away, give them about 6-9 months. I had 2 HT's, the first about 3 years ago and the donar area if flat and totally unoticeable (unless I lift my hair and point it out).
  2. I was wondering what you guys are using to cut the Proscar in 1/4's ? When I was taking 1/2 a Propecia a day I used a razor blade, will that work with the Proscar as the tab is not much bigger and I'll be cutting it in 4 pieces as opposed to 2. Thanks

  4. than Propecia, if you cut them in 1/4's you have 120 days
  5. on Testosterone which can cause hair loss, I told him I was going to go back on Propecia. On my next visit I asked him for the prescription for Proscar and he gave it to me. I can check on the internet to see if a drug will be paid for before I get it and it says Proscar is. You should check with your insurance to see if it's covered, even if it's not according to my insurance Proscar is about $80 for a 30 day supply, if you cut the pills in 1/4's you gat a 120 day supply for $80, Propecia would be over $200
  6. Prescription, I have Aetna and I typed in the drug and they said it was covered, I can get a 90 day supply for $35 which would be a year when you cut them in 1/4's. If I type in a drug that's not covered (such as Propecia) it says not covered.
  7. How big are the pills ? Are they easy to cut in 1/4's ? I was taking 1/2 a Propecia a day but my Dr put me on testosterone so I went back to 1 mg a day.
  8. Is there any difference betwwen theses drugs besides the dosage? My Dr will write me a prescription for Proscar and it will be covered on my health insurance, I was going to cut the pill in 1/4s and take 1/4 every day or maybe every other day.

  10. That's what I was thinking but wasn't sure if that's how some DR's charged for "grafts". I don't know how this ever changed to money, I honestly wouldn't care if I paid double what I did. Some people are too hung up on prices and with cosmetic surgery that can be a big mistake.
  11. that's all he performs. He did mine, my brothers and two other people I know and they all came out perfect. I guess any surgeon can make mistakes but if a certain area of your head won't grow with transplants maybe there is a problem. I don't think Dr Cohen would lie to you as if he was in it for the money (or should I say more money) he could easilly advertise and do more than one procedure at a time. I had my HT almost four years ago, I just found this board and figured I would throw up a post as I (and others) have had good results with him. By the way, how much did you pay and how many grafts did you get?
  12. NO, I said I THINK the prices may be different, maybe you should try reading. I wouldn't care if I spent $20,000, I received a quality job and I'm more than satisfied, ALOT of times you get what you pay for. I did alot of research before my HT, that was 4 years ago I just didn't keep up on it. $3,000 for 500 Fu's with pain med and the Graftycte seems good to me especially when it's quality work and he does every procedure personally.
  13. Dr Cohen uses the Follicular Unit hair Transplant. I did alot of research before the HT but had since forgotten exactly what was done. This is why my hairline came out so good. I think the $3 and $4 per graft is for the old style surgery.
  14. I also just started Test therapy and I had a HT. My Endocrinist suggested that I start taking Propecia again as I had gone from 1mg a day then 1/2 mg day for 6 months and I had been off Propecia for almost a year and my hair was fine. 200 mg a week is alot and will cause your levels to go very high, my levels were around 180 and six days after a shot ( 200mg) they were at 1187. I had my 2nd shot today ( 3 weeks later) and I had another blood test to check my levels, you should do the same. 1mg a day seems fine for 200 mg every 2-3 weeks. Just an FYI for the guy who doesn't think Dbol converts to DHT, that is not correct and it will cause hairloss
