  1. Surely walking must be fine unless you are super unfit? I'll go with gillenator and say avoid doing anything to raise blood pressure for 2-3 days.
  2. If you knocked a graft out it would bleed such that the blood would run over your scalp freely, rather like a sharp cut to a finger. It would take a couple of minutes with a swab to stem this blood flow. After 25-days the grafts are deeply implanted and would need a deep, sharp blow to loosen them. From what you have written it sounds trivial, a few spots of blood is certainly nothing to worry about.
  3. Thanks, gently washed under low-power shower for 20 mins on two separate days and they all fell off, along with hairs but not too many hairs! Now wait and see.
  4. My head is covered in scabs 12-days post op. Is it OK to leave them be to naturally fall off or better to wash out gently with warm water? They don't itch or bother me in any way.
  5. Hair and money................women love you Money only.......................women love you Hair only.......................... a few young women will like you no hair and no money......happiness (ie no woman!)
  6. Some interesting points raised here about having a HT when 'young'. I'm glad that I'd never even heard of such a thing as a HT until 2013, when I was 45. I read about it and just thought, mmh, sounds interesting and then left it at that. Then in Jan this year I had another look, three weeks later aged 46 I had the HT done at a very reputable clinic. So I'm glad I didn't hear of HTs years ago! (BTW I started balding at about 36) I agree with those who think that 25-35 is young but needs must!
  7. Thanks for posting those photos, you look very good and I am sure you feel even happier.
  8. Brilliant result! I had a similar number of hairs transplanted and I am older than you and had more hair to begin with so I had better look as good as you do! I am so happy for you Keithh.
  9. Hello Uk_Lad, Think carefully about a HT if the money could be used for a house deposit instead. I'm all for HTs but only if the money is not a big issue and you could afford to write it off if the HT didn't meet your expectations. I hope I have not jumped to the wrong conclusions about your finances, please forgive me if I have. Regards Mathematica.
  10. This is good! I'm very happy for you BaldieTwo and I kneel down and pray that mine turns out likewise......time to pray and spray. ps. Do you think the name BaldieTwo is really appropriate now?
  11. Hello, I had an op last week with Farjo. I was given written and oral instructions on post-op care. With regards to washing I was told NOT to wash for the first 24-hours, thereafter could wash every day. I had to use the (watery) shampoo they provided and place a towel over my head and let the water from the shower soak through it. Then put shampoo on towel and place on head and let water soak it through. Finally rinse towel and place on head again under shower to rinse of any residual shampoo. I have washed my hair five times (in the past seven days) in this manner and don't notice any grafts/scabs falling off yet. The shower is on very gentle warm power. I find the towel on my head a great comfort for some reason! It's odd how different docs give different instructions, anyone know why?
  12. Very good. This patient is very similar to me in his level of placement of baldness and the number of grafts he has had inserted. If mine turns out to be this good I'm going to laugh my head off!
  13. Congratulations, you chose a great doctor so the chances of anything going wrong are really low. I'll be following your progress as I too had an op last week. I hope my hair grows faster, thicker and more lush than yours! Good Luck Man!
  14. I decided not to go abroad as it's too much hassle and there is little to choose between the REPUTABLE docs. It's the poor ones whom one ought to avoid. I did several 'Googles' and found negative as well as positive results for any given doc. I did a few weeks research which is enough to know which clinics to avoid. I am 46 and know what to expect of a HT, I had good donor density and measured my scalp, did a few sums and 3500 FUT (approx 7500 hairs) would give a reasonable density in the transplanted area. I'm realistic, the covering will not be very dense but it will be good enough (I hope), I am pretty confident that at worst I'll have an acceptable result, my main objective was to avoid a bad result and with Farjo I figured that the probability of that happening was pretty low. my main criteria for choosing a doc were: 1) Does only HT 2) Has done several thousand HT 3) Is a member relevant professional bodies 4) Is passionate about HT 5) Has been in the business for over 10 years 6) Has largely positive reviews 7) Is in the UK (I can't handle the hassle of going abroad, not even for hair!) Shiner, you are right about Lorenzo. During my research he kept coming out with good feedback. Best Regards Mathematica
  15. Good luck, I had mine done on 19th Feb. I hope we both become hairy hulks!
  16. Hello, I'm a new member and had 3500 FUT with Farjo in Manchester. I had a consultation and a WEEK later the op, I was given a good price due to someone else cancelling. I did some research but not too much as it was boring! Farjo has a very good reputation, could not find bad reviews of him. It all went well and now I must wait and wait! It's the waiting which is hard and all kinds of things go through my mind. I hope it works out for me and everyone else who goes through a HT. Finally, it really is less painful that being seen to by a dentist!
  17. I bet it is nerve wrecking! I had my op done by a very highly recommended surgeon last week and now it's wait and wait. I did bump my head on the corner of the bathroom cabinet and damn a graft with two hair fell out! In the past I have bumped my head on this cabinet so many times with no blood but this time it bled a lot. I was really scared, it was 2am and I was not going to wake 'her' up! So I managed to hold a swab on for a few mins and it stopped! Then I rinsed area off gently using a sponge to squeeze water onto head. The next day I moved the damn cabinet!
