  1. Got back yesterday. Here's pics! If these don't load, someone please help me figure this out cuz it's driving me bonkers!
  2. I'm not spreading misinformation, you are b/c I copied and pasted my original post and the only thing I took out is the doctor's name and it posted. Yes pm me b/c I would like to know what the beef is. It was my understanding it's a money thing. Aside from that, I would like to know if the photos are loading b/c I can't see they load and id like to share em. Side note, my head doesn't look like the elephant man this time- I iced my forehead 5 mins every hr until bed.
  3. pps. I find it ridiculous that when I mention the doctor, b/c he's not on the prestigious list here, it automatically puts the post in limbo until a moderator approves it. What kind of sh!t is that?
  4. PS. I just got my 2nd FUE procedure done today! Unshaven. Esthetically it looks sooo much better. I'll find out tomorr exactly how many grafts I got. EDIT: Pics don't load- WHY!??! You can go to my album to see my post-op pics from today. WHY IS THIS SO DIFFICULT!!?!?!?!!
  5. Wassssup?! I'm laid up after my second FUE- first one was almost 3 years ago. Went conservative (budget!), so here's some pic's. The back, btw, is pretty impressive in my opinion. Unshaven is what's up!
  6. Hey Guys, So I had my 2nd FUE done today, which is almost 3 years later. I'm happy I went w/ unshaven this time b/c the back looks undetectable. This time I opted out of ATP spray and PRP, but I did get ACell injected to help w/ donor region recovery. Pretty conservative this time. Hopefully, all goes well. Frankly, I'm laid up and bored so this is what I'm doing. haha. Here's link to my pictures b4 and after. Hair Restoration Social Network - Hair Loss and Transplant Photos
  7. Hey Guys, I'm curious what your take is on spacing out FUE procedures. Background, 3 years ago, I had 1,700 grafts and today I had 460 done. I've gone at this conservatively, but wonder, since I still would like more, if the next time I should go all out and finish what I started. Side note, I will say that over the past 3 years I've lost a bit more so maybe you're never done, but still, I wonder if the survival rate is impacted by whether you space out procedures or go all out all at once....
  8. Hey, So I saw today there's a class action suit against wen shampoo claiming it causes hair to fall out, however, I believe it's only women. I use Wen and so naturally I'm worried. Has anyone had bad experience w/ wen or heard about it causing hair loss in guys???

  10. So is it 1X a year, is it 1X a month for 3 consecutive months, then wait a year? Is there an optimal amount of time b/w PRP injections? ps. When I try to search this forum it goes to members. How do I search this question on this form??
  11. no, i wasn't. Sorry to put the site on blast. I really find it informative, but after an hour of searching I got pissed.
  12. I've been hearing that there are autoimmune alopecias, but it seems like these are patches of hair that fall out and eventually grow back. I guess my question is, is someone who has a receding hairline always going to be androgenetica or could it be another alopecia?
  13. the search function on this site really sucks. I click search this forum, type in the box a phrase ,eg. tofacitinib citrate, and it goes to advanced search for MEMBERS. WTF? Can anyone find this post b/c I had a question there and I want to see if there's an answer. thx,
  14. I'm about 2 months post op, still have some grafts just moochin off my head, sucking up my nutrients, using MY blood supply and not growing or doing jack shit. How do I kick these freeloading bastards off my head, or should I? I feel like an enabler. ANyone else have this?
  15. So I'm 6 weeks post op and I still have some grafts that aren't doing s***, just sitting there like, "is it cool if I hang here?" And I'm like, "yeah, if you'd f***ing grow!" But they don't, and I want these moocher grafts outta my head. Should I get some actualy exfoliating soap and do this? I'm using hair cycle and it doesn't have any rough ingredients for this so should I get some certain shampoo??
  16. Who knows, this man could have explosive growth and then every surgeon will recommend dumping anti-freeze on newly transplanted grafts.
  17. Day 8- OMFG, "where's the biotin spray and scar gel?!" This was repeated by me 7 times to 7 different people, at 7:30pm, a cowardly UPS man left the package on my door and ran. DONOR AREA: Apply scar gel. Up until now I'd put NO PRODUCT on it. To deal with the itching I'd lightly rub the back, occasionally make a saline solt'n of a teaspoon of salt in 8 oz's of bottled water, dabbed it on, or put a bag of ice over it. The scar gel has aloe and some other crap, it helped with the itching so I stopped doing all the other stuff. RECIPIENT AREA: Sprayed biotin once an hour. Now, at this point I still had some scabs and the goal for me was to get them to come off over the next 3 days. I would LIGHTLY rub my little grafts and GENTLY massage the loose scabs off being OH-SO careful not to take any grafts with them. Took Vitamin C (1,000mg) 2X a day. I heard that the biotin is like a little chemical peel and gets the scabs off, but can turn the recipient area red. Somehow, I've heard that the Vitamin C helps with the redness so I started taking it while using the biotin. Had an afternoon coffee. Coffee raises blood pressure and that's bad... in the beginning. By this time my theory is that you want to get the blood circulating in and around your head to nourish your little babies. Day 9-10: REPEAT Day 11: REPEAT except... The scabs all fell off by day 10, so to reward my scalp, I threw the baby shampoo away and used big boy shampoo. I'm using hair cycle shampoo/conditioner. It's supposed to stimulate anagens. What's that? I dunno, but I feel like my anagens need stimulating. Day 12: REPEAT Day 13: While I still have 75% of the biotin and over half of the scar gel, it's finally time to wean myself off of all these products so I can heal like a man. So I quit cold turkey, I take one last Vitamin C, now I'm off that too. Time to get vitamins from food. The recipient area is not dry or flaky and the grafts are still in tact, though they'll likely fall out over the next few weeks I'm told. The donor area looks completely healed. Dude out.
