Joe, when I first started this journey, you were the first person I received an email from H&W and you mentioned that my case reminded you of your own situation! Its been several years later, and I'm about 1 month out from my corrective surgery with Dr. Rahal in September. I thank you for all you have done in the past and will continue to do in the future. Maybe I'll get to meet you in Ottawa next month? My heartfelt best wishes on your next chapter.

you're still young and I think you got a nice result from your procedure 1.5 years ago, I would say wait a little longer to see how your MPB progresses and then decide on how to tackle it, again I say that only because you're still very young, you don't know how your hair loss will progress in your 30's or 40's, you'll have plenty of time to decide since you've got a nice looking head of hair now

I'm so glad to see reputable doctors and patient advocates on this forum advising young patients in their 20's to wait a few years to see if their hair loss stabilizes before considering a HT procedure. If someone had done that for me in the early 90's when I was in my 20's, I would never have had a HT that only requires further surgery today... This is a testament to how far the industry and patient knowledge has come. Hang in there revanfein, I know its difficult to see and accept hair loss at your age, but you'll be better off for it.

best wishes on your healing and hope you get the final result you're looking for!

very nice transformation, best wishes!

up close hairline pic looks amazingly natural, beautiful work, congrats and best wishes

as a 45 year old male who's got advanced hair loss in the frontal zone and crown, my priority is simply getting a natural, conservative hairline that squares the face, i'm least concerned about my crown at this stage and will use the limited donor area that I have to address the hairline and midscalp .. hopefully Dr. Rahal will agree with me in Sept!

is there a specific hair supplement or vitamin brand that has b complex, biotin and zinc combination? also what can one do specifically to get their scalp healthier?? more thorough cleanings? massages? thanks.

Definitely nice work, as this example shows, its always that frontal zone that really makes the difference. Of course coverage and density is nice behind that, but the hairline and frontal zone are what make HT surgery artistry ..

just wondering, if you were so advanced before the Feller procedure, and it appears from your pre-op pics that your hairline looks absolutely fine, why go with another physician? what was your dissatisfaction with Feller? the pre-op Dorin pics look like you are absolutely perfect?????

sounds odd, but I would take that as a sign that I don't or shouldn't do a HT procedure at this time ... hold off until you actually need 3k or more grafts before ever doing anything surgically or cosmetically that will affect the rest of your life ..

FUE2579 - wow!

a HT procedure from the hands of a skilled surgeon only gives one the illusory appearance of density - you are taking existing hairs from your donor area and merely shifting them to balding areas for an optimal appearance - your net gain is zero, therefore the manner in which you use your limited donor supply is crucial

the work looks very refined, glad to hear you had so much confidence even going in with your doctor, sometimes that's half the hurdle to get over, if you feel you are in the hands of a trusted and reputable surgeon, it relieves any doubts in going through this experience, best wishes on your continued healing and end result, it will be awesome!

I"m a future Rahal patient so great to see such an awesome result! congrats

very nice, another quality doctor/clinic in the US exhibiting excellent FUE results!

i think if you put a side by side comparison of your before and after photos, you'd also see and appreciate the cosmetic improvement. I too like the creation of the hairline and filling in midscalp. You elect to wear your hair short so its not as dramatic a result, but definitely nice coverage. I would be extremely happy if I had your result! But best of luck with whatever you want to achieve!

his hairline is ideal and he doesn't look like he's got any hair loss at all on top, so don't really know what he needed to correct??

there's always some hope to have a better head of hair than what you have, but if you have extensive hair loss, your expectations need to be realistic. So for example, i'm a NW 5-6 like you, I'm going for a HT to recreate a very conservative hairline and to add some density behind it up to the mid-scalp. This will frame my face and definitely give me a much better improved look from my current condition. I think you need to have a similar outlook, ie. you will never have a full, dense head of hair, but you can improve your look with today's modern HT's. Best of luck to you ..

I think chrisdav hit it on the head ..

congrats, the work looks really refined and I like the fact that you decided to stay conservative and within your existing hairline, I think it will make your end result look so much better and natural, best wishes

I too had a smaller FUT procedure to my hairline when I shouldn't have (in my mid 20's). So I have a small scar at the lower portion of the back of my head or above the nape of my neck. I'm in my mid 40's now and have had some extensive hair loss since that original procedure. I'm looking to do some corrective work to give me a more natural hairline and just merely add some coverage & density behind the hairline. I'm not looking for miracles and I don't expect a full head of hair, but I'm not going to fall into the same old routine of FUT. I don't want another significant scar from ear to ear just because I have a smaller one from my prior procedure. Today, good FUE docs can guarantee 90-100% regrowth rate, which is essentially the same as FUT. People talk about the extra expense - yes it may be a factor for some, but its not for me, and I think it's worth every penny if you put value in it. I have a FUE procedure scheduled with Dr. Rahal in September of this year. I know he's not typically mentioned as one of this forum's guru of the FUE procedure like some other more recognized docs, but he's demonstrated some great results nonetheless. I agree with many other comments on this thread that FUE is the superior and preferred method by those docs that have perfected their craft in this procedure.

I think you are over-reacting way too soon after a procedure. Of course you don't look great immediately or several days, weeks or even months post op. Let your scalp heal, let the scabs fall off. Maybe cut your existing native hair to look more even? But don't loose hope. You've undergone a traumatic experience to your scalp, you need some time to heal. Afterwards, do the assessment and determine if you need additional work, a repair, etc.

can I ask what hair supplement (brand name?) you are taking where you posted a photo of the ingredients? seems to have all the right stuff in one bottle!
