Thanks! I will have to check what the research regulations there are to be honest. I should know soon though.
Would be great to find out this. I suspect many would be interested

Hey man, definitely take a DHT blocker to maintain your existing hair. Otherwise you’ll likely need another procedure in a few years as that hair thins 👍

Hey man, grade 0 is a little too short following FUE. Grade 0.5 - grade 1 if often better. All depends on what punch size the surgeon used 👍

Hey man, would be good to see an update!

Hey man, give it time following the announcement in the Verteporfin thread. Plenty of other reviews of him in search 👍

Hey man, how are you progressing?

Hi guys,
Hope you’re all having a lovely weekend. Just few updates regarding the last trial and some other issues.
1. The patient came back for his monthly follow up. He is doing well in general. The hair was quite long so the photos weren't showing the areas clearly but I did take photos and it shows typical FUE healing although I did feel them to be slower than surrounding ones (similar to how they behaved in the first trial). They still looked red and demarcated, while in other areas -where No Verteporfin was injected- they started to look like typical scarred tissue. I have asked him to come back so we can clip the donor again sometime this week or next week. He just has some event he needs to attend prior to shaving it again. I will take more photos when he gets back so I can share them. I think clipped hair will show the areas better.
2. I am invited to present about Verteporfin in the upcoming WFI workshop in May. Hopefully this will spark more interest in further studies with colleagues.
3. I am considering another trial mostly regarding old FUE scar extraction.4. I’m also glad to share that I will be doing consultations and performing surgeries on a regular part- basis at the Westminister Medical Group in Harley street-London.
Thank you again for all the feedbackHey Doc, great update. Please start another trial. The more the better certainly 👍

Hey, most surgeons don't do FUT as they mostly train in FUE these days (much simpler to learn) FUT requires a lot of training / skill to complete successfully. It's a dying art with most of the newer breed of surgeons who don't learn it. Many years ago before FUE came about it was all that was available! It definitely has its place in the modern day to maximise the available donor hair and for longer hair cases like yours.
I look forward to seeing your photos 👍

There's quite a few on the forum recommended surgeons list based in the UK...
Hey man, it's probably easier to list them here if anyone knows the full list

Hey man, keep on posting the updates

Hey man, it looks to be growing in well at this stage. Looking forward to seeing how this turns out for you near the 1 year mark 👍

Hey man, there’s still not many on the forum recommended list. Very few in-fact, though this could change 👍

Hey man, this looks like a good job. Keep the photos coming 👍

Hey man, things are starting to happen now. The next few months will be interesting!

Hey man, try not to be too hung on up the grafts numbers. 3500 grafts could well be 7000 hairs with the right extraction. 4500 grafts could also be 7000 hairs depending on which hair types are extracted. Really depends on the skill of the extractor and what they’re aiming for. I’d definitely look into medication - you’d probably be surprised what could grow back after 6-12 months!

Hey man, the work looks really good!

Hey Melvin, where do we listen to the podcasts?
FUE-FUT Combo. Am I a good candidate?

Hey man, I also think you could go the FUE route first as you don’t have a massive area to cover. Once you’ve exhausted the donor via FUE you could then look into an FUT should you lose any more hair.
