After 3 surgeries by Bedard Hair Clinic

These are my photos after 3 surgeries with the Bedard Hair clinic, one to my hairline for 1,100 grafts and two to the crown for about 2,000 grafts (I am currently two months post op out of the second one and will be updating the photos monthly).
  2. @ Dannoxx, Dr Glenn Charles is a great surgeon and he's in Florida (not too sure how close to Tampa). Separately, I suggest you start your own thread if you want responses.
  3. crizwold, Hasson & Wong and Dr Rahal (3 of the top surgeons) are charging between $4 to $5 per graft (FUT). Combined with all the above comments, that in itself should really make you stop and take notice. The reason I mention these physicians is because I am researching them for my next HT, that is not to say that Drs Feller, Shapiro, Konior, Charles, Lindsey, etc etc etc are not top surgeons, I just don't have any information on their pricing. Bottom line is there are a bunch of highly recommended surgeons on this site (look at the pull down menus on the top right hand corner for a complete list) and knowledgeable people who've had HTs. Research them and I believe I speak for most on this site when I say you'll be in safe hands. Don't rush.
  4. Hi Tom, I've lived in Dubai for a long time and know the place very well and I love it, BUT... there are no good HT surgeons in Dubai. Please do not make the mistake of getting an HT in Dubai. All my friends that live in Dubai and had HTs have gone abroad, one of them didn't for his first HT and had a terrible experience with an American physician that butchered him and then went abroad for his subsequent HTs. Do some research on this site and you'll find a bunch of well respected HT doctors. Don't take this decision lightly as it's a big commitment financially and otherwise as whatever results you get you'll be living for the rest of your life. Take your time, ask a lot of questions and do loads of research. Good luck.
  5. @Steve, how many grafts total did you get out of your 5 HTs? I'm curious as I've had 3 myself and not done yet.
  6. From my experience, you'll be ok. While it's not generally advisable to be rubbing your head at this stage, I wouldn't worry too much if you don't have blood trickling down. It's happened to me in the past. Just stop touching it and be patient. I can't believe I just said that
  7. Hi all, thank you for your replies. Shampoo, the crown area is very important to me and I don't want it treated as an afterthought. I am 38, already had 3 transplants (1,200; 1185; 765 grafts). I am currently a NW4 with with the crown being the most visible area of hair loss. For my next HT, I am hoping to find 4,000 grafts for a mega session with a top doc and my thinking is that I don't want any areas of visible baldness, I don't mind having thinner hair all over but let it be even all over. I don't agree with the prevailing industry approach of packing the hairline and frontal third and leaving the crown with little or nothing, I wouldn't be happy with such a result as I would still consider myself as bald. Are H&W the only ones using the lateral slit technique?
  8. Who in your opinion does the best crown restoration? FUT or FUE doesn't matter, I am only concerned with results. I've been doing loads of research but still haven't reached an answer to that question. Happy holidays.
  9. Winchester, first of all, I am sorry to hear about your feelings of frustration and diminished self esteem, most of us can relate and have been there as well, maybe still going through it. You've received some pretty sound advice from some of the other posters and if I were you, I'd pay attention to the below from Icecreamman who happens to be living in your area. My two cents: do not under any circumstances trade convenience for surgeon skill and reputation. Most likely, one surgery will not be sufficient to give you the full head of hair you desire (I might be mistaken) but choose a skilled and well known surgeon and have that discussion with him (or her), they'll guide you and manage your expectations. Btw, have you considered shaving down until the timing is better for you financially (if that is a major concern)? I hope this helps.
