  1. Clarification: it was the hat put on me immediately after post op not the beanie!
  2. You can wear a hat immediately post op as I did with my procedure with Dr. True. However, for the first week or so it should be worn loosely and also the baseball cap type that puts most the pressure on the forehead and not resting on top of the grafts. After 10 days the beanie would be safe as your grafts are firmly in place, I'd imagine a beanie would put some pressure on the recipient site but after 10 day mark your safe. Dr true put one on me as I left the office and I strolled around NYC with abs no issues at all
  3. David, Thank you very much! I read through all the links you provided, even the back and forth one with the neograft promoter...all these radio commercials I'm hearing just make me so angry lol, just false claims with nothing to back it up. Thanks again, Jman
  4. Agree with everything you said bud, seems like such an advertising push. Thanks for the response as always!
  5. I've actually heard that when starting these regimes shedding is quite normal. As long as you have no negative side effects from the propecia (which I don't) they are both important to at least maintain what you have and possibly even see some improvements with new growth. By the 7 or 8 month mark the propecia should be starting to kick in and the shedding should stop. Try not to look for every hair falling because remember we normally lose many hairs everyday and that's completely normal. Good luck bud!
  6. Does anyone know if this works at all? I actually have no interest in getting it, this is just more a curiosity informational question. I'm from the Boston area (where not many reputable surgeons seem to be, if any) and its just bugging the sh!t outta hearing about this neograft procedure, and these celebrities such as Wes Welker and Lyndon Byers undergoing them. Then all of a sudden a year later they claim to have this amazing head of hair when I haven't seen or heard of any first hand experiences, the celebrities always strike me as just a big marketing/advertising scam. Any information people know or have experienced I'd be interested to hear. Thanks in advance, much appreciated!
  7. Shabs, I got 1776 grafts...we were hoping for closer to 2000 but unfortunately he had to remove a previous donor scar from a sub-par procedure I got from another doctor. I really should of done my homework better but it was a couple years back and I jumped the gun a bit. But anyways I'm happy to be in the hands of a great doctor now and if all goes well I'm prepared to do at least 2 more procedures to get my desired density. But I believe this first one will be a great improvement for me and I'm excited to watch it progress in the upcoming months! Thanks for asking bud, I'm gonna contact T&D to get my pre op pics at some point to share my updates

    Looks great man, congrats!
  9. Bro I'd be happy with a head of hair like that right now. Like others are saying, get on finasteride (active ingredient in propecia), and use minoxidil (active ingredient in rogaine). I saw my hairless stablize very well from these drugs over they years so there is a good chance you can save what you got. Still got a good head of hair, do your best to save it. GL!
  10. Friggin auto correct on my iPad always messes up some words but I think you got the gist hahaha
  11. Hey shabs, So I'm not to concerned about the use of concealer but I have ordered so caboki to use on the recipient area liberally, as I really like the face its all natural ingredients and claims to be easier on the scalp ,even though I've never really had issues with other products, I've heard good things, it makes me more comfortable for the reasons you've stated, so I figured I'd give it a go. So 6 weeks out is def early in the game so just relax and let it take its course, all will be good. As far as the donor scar goes, I think mine will be a little visible as I don't wear it extremely short but enough that I might have a little shock loss in the area. For that reason, I've also ordered courve and dermmatch to experiment with the two and what works best for concealing some spots around the donor region. As far as myself, I'm just 8 days post op and I'm going to give my head a nice soak in the bath this morning to start trying to gently work of little scabbing that is left, it really hasn't been much as I was lucky my procedure came out quite clean from almost day 1. Talk soon bro. Thanks!
  12. Agenteye, Thanks so much for the support bro! I wish I was able to harvest as many grafts as you but unfortunately dr true had remove an old scar so 1776 was all we were able to get. But the good news is I got more donor for at least to more procedures so should be able to get up to a high Graf amount. Anyways, enough about me, and congrats to you on your procedure. I've also heard many good stories about experiences with Dr. Rahal so your results are gonna be great and certaintly with size of a procedure. Also, thanks for your response to the concealer thread as well, much appreciated to hear from others. So congrats to you brother and grow well, growth is around the corner!
  13. Hey shabs, I'm a fiber concealer as well and also just had a procedure with dr true, and although post op care says its fine to use once scabs are gone, I can't help but worrying about it! Would really like to hear from people who have had successful results with HTs while using concealers, as long as you wash off nightly. Hang in there bro think will be fine. Have you been using any concealer yet? I'm planning to use some when I go back to work 13 day post op, but gonna try to use liberally and not cake the product on. I keep hearing less is more. Any signs of growth for you yet? If not, it's coming man. Take care, Jman
  14. Jerzig, Thanks bro, def what I need to do. I'm doing ok now and understand the early days don't mean much. Thanks for the support everyone!
  15. Gobble, I actually think mostly what I'm seeing is some grafts that have already detached and are pushing up further to prepare for the shedding stage. As I learn more I'm starting to think that's the case as most hairs shed 1-4 weeks post op, although of course I wouldn't be upset if a few hairs just started growing off the bat
