  1. Appreciate your feedback guys. Can I get a finasteride prescription from a primary care doctor? Any thoughts from physicians on the forum?
  2. I've been lurking since July 2012, which was when I first started no notice my hairline thinning. In the past month my hairline has thinned to the point where I don't think I can hide it anymore. I just turned 25 and am starting to get quite concerned. I'm currently considering two options: 1) FUE hair transplant and 2) propecia/finasteride. FUE is expensive but definitely something I'm willing to consider. Is this stage too early to get a transplant? I'm also not sure how many grafts I should get if I pursue it, and if I risk permanent shock-loss to surrounding hair-loss-prone follicles. Propecia sounds like a great choice, but I'm very concerned about the sexual side effects. I have high libido but I have found over the past year that when engaging sexually with a new partner I have difficulty gaining an erection, no matter how aroused. This gets better as I get to know the partner emotionally, but will come up every now and again sporadically, and I think is porn/masturbation-induced ED -- so I have just started a 9-month period of NoFap to resolve the problem. I fear if I take propecia it will exacerbate my ED and I won't be able to resolve it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I have attached my photos to this thread.
  3. Use of any product containing Minoxodil will cause shedding in the first few months. This is because the product is syncing all of your hair follicles into the same period of their growth cycle. After the first month or so you should notice a general thickening of the hair. Keep using the Minoxodil, and you will continue to see similar results, but once you stop using it, your hair will shed again and you will lose what you had gained on the Minoxodil.
