Seemed like common sense, although I was disappointed when he said pictures are not enough to validate a surgeon since that's a major advantage of this forum. While seeing patients in person would be ideal, I'm not sure how practical that is.
I did like his advice about salesmen as I have had that experience recently (long-distance consultation). I was primarily dealing with a sales guy who downplayed all of my concerns about his practice but tried to scare me from consulting others ("why is it so cheap?", "why do they have so much time on their hands?"). The surgeon chimed in briefly and seemed indifferent as to what type of procedure I have done. Salesmen and surgery don't mix.
