  1. Hi guys, there is no evidence for biotin controlling hair loss, but, there is plenty of empirical evidence that it promotes faster hair and nail growth. I've been taking 5000mg/day for the past nice months now and Ive noticed both my hair and nails growing faster, i.e I've had to trim my nails more frequently, and visit the barber more often.

  8. Leaving for India next week, will work through until Feb and then have my HT with Dr Radha then. A bit nervous but looking forward to just getting it done and moving on with my life (hopefully a bit more hirsute!). A

  9. Mate, from your list of supplements you're seriously overdoing things! The body simply doesn't need that much additional vitamins and you're just wasting a lot of money. The body takes what it needs and excretes the rest in urine and bowel movements. At best, what you need is a good multi-vit/mineral once-a-day in the morning, and a good biotin (I currently take the Now biotin 5000mcg veggie caps) once a day. As I said, more than that is just overkill, unnecessary, and the body just passes it out. Best of luck - Alejandro
  10. Hi, just to let you know, for the biotin to be effective you need a high dose, I'm currently taking 5000mg capsules once a day. The best quality and brand that I've found is American and it's called Now Biotin and it's available from Amazon.com. Not sure if anyone in India sells this brand but it's worth tracking down the best. Good luck. Best wishes - Alejandro

  12. Thanks Alind, and congrats, it looks a like a nice job. Well done.
  13. Hi Planht, From what I've been reading on these forums, Dr Radha in Vizag is supposed to be the best in India. She has trained with Dr Path in Thailand, her results look very good, her prices are very competitive, and people seemed very happy with their results. I will contact her, send her some photos of my head, and see what see says. Will keep you posted. Dr Radha's clinic is in Andhra, so not sure how that is for you to travel.
  14. Clayman, looking very good indeed, congratulations! Dr Radha obviously does good work. Can you post some recent pictures please (Sept-Oct 2012) so we can see how your hair has grown out? I'll be working in India for six months from November and was considering a HT procedure (much cheaper than Europe!!!). You must be loving the results so far, it looks very good. Thanks.
  15. Hi, can anyone give me info on the best hair clinics in Mumbai? Who are the leading surgeons in Mumbai, or India in general, and does anyone have personal experience, or know anyone who has, and/or can share their results with me? Photos?? I'm very interested in an FUE procedure, will be working in India for the next six months and wanted to look into clinics, surgeons, and prices. Thanks.
  16. Hi Guys, this is my first time on this forum, and I wanted to find out more about Dr Bhatti. Are there more people out there with personal experience, and/or satisfactory results (with photos!!)? I'll be in India next month on an extended work trip, I've been considering an FUE procedure for a while, obviously the costs in India are cheaper compared to Europe. Does anyone know whether Dr Bhatti practices in Mumbai? Or, are there any other HT surgeons in Mumbai who are recommended?? Many thanks -
