  1. not consistently, dabbled with a little of each, will start though, can only help im sure
  2. I am a 27 m already a NW 5-6 ish IMO, so time would be of essence and i am willing to have conservative results on first HT, not expecting to go back to NW0 at once or anything, a final result of a NW1-1.5 would even suffice in my mind, but i have been turned down by certain docs because of age, the number i've always been told is "we don't like doing patients under 27), i just turned 27 this month so i figured no or never as in a year or 2 ill be creepin up on a NW 6.5 - 7ish . I thank you who through out names of credible docs for larger session. I am going to consult with h & W asap, any other suggestions or input would be greatly accepted
  3. I know the thing to do on here is to say " do your research, meet with multiple docs, feel comfortable with who you go with, don't price shop, etc..." But, if any of you would be so kind as to list the top tier, IN YOUR OPINION, of docs that have credibility with doing very large FUT Ht's, more so on younger males, lets say 5k g's or more? I'm not asking to rank them in order as I know that's not the thing to do on here either, but instead of spending alot of time trying to figure out who has the best rep for this could someone throw out some names that are somewhat known for this? I think I've read on here Hassan n Wong have done a good bit of larger ones with pretty good results?
  4. and in this case, a 30% diff could very well be the difference in getting a HT by years end or not. So if i feel comfortable with 2-3 pre screened credible docs and 1 will do it for 4k less or so, that is a risk I'm willing to take. I recently got a quote from a recommended doc on here for $3 a graft (cheapest i've gotten). If i had 10-15k to blow this obv wouldnt be an issue, but i am prepared to spend almost all of my finances towards my first HT, so shopping prices is a must, even if it is against normal ethics on here
  5. sorry for the delay but if anyone reads this thank you for the input. and no i have never done more than dabble with meds for short time, never consistant.
  6. thank you for input man. i know they say dnt let shopping make your choice but i trust any pre screened doc in my region and 2-4k less can make the difference of getting it paid.
  7. I was lucky enough to already be an NW2 around 18 and now that I'm old enough I've done my research on here and want a FUT HT from a pre screened good DOC. After looking at some pics, Dr Lindsay from VA was thinkin around 3k grafts FUT about a year ago, so if my donor area has enough yield I'm thinking 3500-4000 now that im close to a NW 6 and I'm willing to go less dense but cover more area including crown even if it means it will be less dense slightley in other places. My main issue now is just the $$ for a HT, I could get a co-signer and a credit care line to cover some and pay upfront for some but at the moment it's not possible and although i plan on starting min / fin to stabilize further loss until my HT , i know it needs to be soon. Shopping prices isnt great ethics on hear i understand but i was quoted 2 diff prices from lindsay and charles (FL) but I'm wondering if there are any docs that have in house financing options, or if anyone is willing to PM me a pre screened doc that financially will benifit with low cost (less than 10k ish for around 3500), or a doc that will benifit someone like whose main obstacle is simply the cash$$. I'm willing to drop my whole bankroll and finance partial to get it done but its frustrating waiting. Any docs cover travel costs? more prone to finance? cheapest docs by the grafts that are also pre screened on here? ( i understand they wouldnt want those #'s posted publicy but if anyone could even PM me) it would save me the time of consulting and asking 5 different ones at once. Any info would be greatly appriciated
  8. anyone have an update on when they may begin started trials to see where the whole pgd2 findings lead?
  9. to go see Dr. Charles as you sir are my 1st call when I'm able and ready to get 2500-3000 done. -- Jay -
  10. anyone know where to get updated info on any products/drugs being tested to block pgd2
  11. thank you both, so would you all say its fair to assume that the price differential between recommended docs on here is small enough to not let that be a deciding factor? because i won't quote dr lindsay's price but i was hoping to hear around 25% less and I know the more commercialized places that don't have recommended docs on here could save more that %% but I know better from spending a good bit of time on here, but that % could really be the difference in getting a HT or not. are any bosley docs recommended on here??
  12. Hi all, I have been considering for years a HT but I was one of the lucky ones that started losing hair as a teenager and at age 26 I believe its more doable now. I've done my fair share of research and I'm willing to go the strip route( FUT) and be conservative with expectations. My problem is that my credit is shot to the point where financing is hardly an option. Assuming 5-10k CASH is obtainable, out of all the recommended docs on here can anyone please tell me some docs that generally are the least expensive, I'm a norwood V -ish, Dr Lindsay after viewing my pics almost a year ago said he would go in big with 3000 grafts, and so assuming I get a HT by way of FUT (strickly to save $) What Docs on the east coast should I consider, the one Ive stumbled upon so far that seems affordable and is listed on here is Dr. G. Charles ( FL ) any suggestions? I thank anyone who cares to help in advance
