  1. These photos were taken 13 months after his hair transplant and are Shown With His WRITTEN CONSENT!!!!!. At his follow-up visit he said “I am very happy. NOBODY KNOWS. Not Even My Mom .” ( … until now.)
  2. I think processed foods has a lot to do with baldness.... My family comprises of men all with a full head of hair and balding happening only after their sixties. Be it maternal side or paternal. My dad who is over 60 now has a full head of hair like his dad did when he passed away. My older brothers hair thickness is something I get terribly jealous of. COme to think about it, as a kid I never liked good foods, ate only biscuits all day, and chips and burgers et. al , i hated milk , curd, meat of any kind , vegetables. nothing of the healthy sort. My diet only comprised of coke , pepsi, burgers, pizza, pasta and by the time I was 16 I had terribly skin, my poker straight silky hair were rough and raggedy and I was a norwood 2 by then ... food may not affect everybody depending on how strong your genes may be ... but it is a very important part of the balding process. in my opinion ... i could be wrong !
  3. Hi tuja, I understand your regimen however, I am slightly sceptical if it will work using minoxidil on alternate days. I did this when I was using it as I foudn it terribly taxing and my dandruff had reached all time new levels using it. I realised my hair continued to fall and the numbers were reducing during the period. I just cant deal with it, So I will stay away from it completely. It also ruined the quality of my hair which were outstanding although I was losing them before using it.
  4. Thanks jayu, rod , KO and all the others who have answered my queries. That sounds quite relieving . Current Status - Its 23 days since my HT. Hair strands still on, some fell with the scabs. Scabs coming off. My dad thinks I still look bald despite the hair on. Obviously since I have a big area but I will keep optmistic. He is brutally honest though which I have come to love ( although it also hurts ) I am staying off MInoxidil as I cant deal with it at all , the dandruff , the inability to find time to keep applying it etc. I will start Propecia or the generic soon though. I have lots of Saw Palmettto with me for now I will use it. My scar looks raised in some points and flat in other. Not much I can do about it at the moment. The pus area has dried up by applying castor oil ( suggested by my local doctor who stated not using pills for it if it works and it has ) KO that suggestion defiinitely makes sense. I will use finpecia as I see some shock loss in my earlier thick ( super thick ) sides .. I can see spaces there especially in light. The area hurts and is numbish when i touch it . I usually used to lose hair with boils or pimples forming in the area. Its happening on the sides right now so I will start saw palmetto for now ... and then move on to propecia or generics later on. Thanks guys
  5. Actually I do have the post op info given my the staff... Its just not enough .... I have a lot many questions which they do not answer . 1) I have a little puss in the start of the scar on the left everytime i touch the area there is pus and blood coming out. I spoke to Dr. Radha she says no medication is necessary. and it should flatten out soon . but I am scared. Its been more than two weeks. 2) I want to know if I should use propecia. Since my bald patch was quite bad, Dr. Radha is quite encouraging about the fact that the transplanted hair will not be lost.. because its from the permanent zone area. So I am sceptical about using it . I have had a very bad experience with minox in the past. I dont want to get into that torture again with the severe dandruff I suffered from . and the immense hairloss once I quit minoxidil. 3) Also my scabs are coming out now..... and the strands are still on ... they havent come off. So I dont know if thats a natural procedure. Dr. Radha is a busy lady. She isnt able to answer my questions on a regular basis and I do not wish to trouble her constantly. I am hopeful the people on this forum will help me with my queries.
  6. be smart .... instead of doing it with cheaper low grade uk doctors for just 8k ( thts the lower rung of surgeons you are affording ) try going to india or another place.. do your rhino there ... at much lower costs in big surgeons clinics ... the good ones in india are equivalent to the best in uk.. just cost varies due to the living costs and standards frmo country to country.
  7. hi ATUL HOW ARE YOU ? AND HOWS LIFE GOING AT THE MOMENT.. ARE YOU CURRENTLY USING ANY HAIR GROWTH MEDICATION ? PLEASE LET ME KNOW AS i HAVE RECENTLY DONE MY HT AND WANT TO KNOW IF I SHOULD START UP SOMETHING CONSIDERING I ALREADY HAD A VERY LARGE BALD SPOT BEFORE GOING INTO THE HT ARENA!
  8. BECAUSE IT LOOKS AMAZING.. YOUR HAIRSTYLE LOOKS MORE 'it ' NOW THAN IT DID DURING PIC 2 AND 3 ARE YOU USING PROPECIA OR M INOXIDIL OR ANYTHING ANYMORE ?
  9. Lol.... I thought she was from bangkok as well.... but dr. radha then told me that the staff usually tells europeans that the lady is thai because they dont believe that oriental looking people hail from india as well. The lady is from sikkim ... northeastern india. .the way they look and speak is very unlike typical indian .. I spoke to the woman on the day before I left.... she spoke to me in hindi:rolleyes:
  10. Yeah cardel I know what you mean.. since i got this ht.. i want to and actually feel like taking care of myself now.. altho im not growing out as of now... but my only scare is that minoxidil and finasteride lose their efficacy after a couple of years or more.... what then ? all that hair will thin out again .... and that scares me like hell because I used minoxidil and when i left it my hair fell like never before.... i became completely bald in a years time ...
  11. 12. Hi .. cardel .. wow! the hair transplant makes one side your profile at norwood 1 and the other looks at norwood nothing! congrats man.. such a small change and you look so much younger as well. Btw... I am about 14 days out of my HT with Dr. Radha. The scabs are still there .... I do beileve there is some shock loss on the thickness of my left side... and obviously my crown is still bald as I had too much to cover. But the hair in front is growing especially at my temples and the hair has not fallen out yet. I am keeping my fingers crossed. even with the scabs on my head.... makes my head look like it has hair and makes me look my age rather than 10 years older than my age. I am not taking finasteride or minox though.. Im scared I wont see good growth like you or the other guys if i dont do so.. although im having a great diet. The scar is not healed yet,... it loosk rather neat to me but Radha did mention that because my scalp is too elastic more than she expected... its possible my scar would stretch slightly more than other people she has worked on. Please give me some advice.... @rod - Hello there. I hope you are doing well! How is your progress going on . Any new hair growth ?
  13. thanks rod I will take your suggestion seriously.. im trying to catch up with all threads. ....
  14. :)hi guys... i was wondering and needed to ask you a question. it has been 9 days ? and I was wondering when the scabs start falling because mine have not started falling yet. Is this good or bad ? i know if the scabs fall quicker there is risk of more hair falling out.. but what if the scabs stay for longer than say a month ? will that also damage the follicles. ? I take a shower and put water really gently on my scalp. do I need to start rubbing my scalp already or should i just continue doing the gentle stuff ? I am really happy with the scar line radha has made... its fine enough not to look ugly at all
  15. Hey I forgot to ask Dr. Radha about the number of singles and multiples or the pictures she took of me... Does anyone have her email ?
  16. Hi. Actually, She is of Sikkimese Origin which is part of North East India. ( not Bangkok)
  17. I think the hair growth makes your forehead look very nice.. Im sure it has improved your looks as well. so congratulations.
  18. It is quite possible noob... although I have had a mega sesssion with dr. radha, I am expecting the chance of hair going into shock, or catching folliculitis. But I know she has done a good job so it will be a good base to move ahead with another transplant in the future.
  19. Lol@adam - Thanks but I dont think its quite possible to look 13 years old again .... im 28 now.... but I do understand your statement is meant to be a compliment and encouraging ..... so love you for that ...
  20. I certainly hope so.. My main focus when I went there was to focus on the hairline and the frontal area. I was ready to work on the backside much later. Dr. Radha ,at first very politely declined that she never creates a too low hairline for anyone because it looks rather unnatural. I was dissappointed but then I asked her what if she got a lot of hair grafts??? When I came in the next day she drew a much more pleasing hairline for me than she had done before. ......and I already knew my donor hair was huge... as my original hair was so thick , it ws just so shocking when it all started going with all the teenage years of abuse through coloring , perming, etc. etc. I had done. I will ask Dr. Radha about hte number of single, double , multiple grafts she found.. and some of the pictures she clicked as well. THanks... But someone show me how to delete my previous pics.. I dont want them on here for ever....
  21. Sorry Rod... was too excited so havent typed the experience all too well! What I am saying is the service and Dr. Radha was amazing. and I was restless lying in one position somuch I kept moving my legs. Finally in the end , I requested them to put me to sleep else I couldnt hold on since there were four more hours to go. they had to get someone to give me total anaesthesia because I could not NOT move and it was hindering the process. But Dr. Radha was and has been TOTALLY Fantastic throughout ... Btw.... I am staying currently in the Budhil Hotel Park , and it sucks man, warm water is never avaialble I struggled for theinternet for days and the location outside is unbearable. lol. But it is actually after reading your review Rod that I went ahead with this..So thank you , as it was about time I did this. I couldnt deal with living with no hair anymore.
  22. I will post my pics soon ! atleast for a while for all of you to view ...
