I don't think 25% has grown. That's outrageous.
It looks like there are grafts that have not grown in but this is far from a failure.
Dr. Rahal is world class and he will accommodate you and your concerns.
How do I know?
Well, I had a touch up with Dr. Rahal because I trust him and I am glad I did.

I agree with Dr. Path.
That's major diffuse thinning all around.
It looks like I do see growth.. anyone else confirm?

Excellent decision to go with Dr. Rahal.
I had mine with him and couldn't of been happier.
One of the best in the world.
Good luck Nav!!

Rahal.
And you should be at 100%

I am perplexed. Have you not all seen the pics I posted with my hair damp, side profiles. top down, etc. I have posted these on separate threads over the years from op#1. I will eventually post clinic pics post op from op # 2 but come on guys give me a break, I have been on Here for years helping you all whenever I can. My pics have been decent and not trying to hide anything. I am just taking quick pics so you all get an idea of my progress.
It's stuff like this that makes us " Veterans" feel like just not posting at all.
I think you results are great. We are just seeking better pictures (literally takes a minute) to give this result justice. That's all.
-
Traction, you are right on track.
The follicles are resting right now and you should begin to see growth at the 3 month mark and beyond.
From months 1-3 there should be only shedding and no activity.
-
The only good photos are the ones taken by the clinic.
Every other photo is useless. Seriously, its not that hard to take a photo on your own.
- Photo Police

You have made some excellent progress and that crown is looking great. I think your HT journey is basically complete!
But.. I just need to say this..
You have by the far worse pictures I've ever seen on this site. I mean, its so hard to tell from any single picture that you have posted.
Man, at least take a couple decent pictures for once.

I really dont understand why you all are giving this poor guy so much greif. Obviously none of you know what it is like to loose hair at such a young age. I look back and wish that i had a transplant at a younger age, even if i had to have another one now i would have been much happier not wasting my young years looking like my mates dads.
I assume most of you are loosing hair later in life and just dont understand how it feels.
Actually you're making incorrect assumptions.
I started losing hair when I was 17 years old.
I got rejected from a hair transplant at 20 years old, which was the best thing to ever happen to me.
Why? My hair loss pattern progressed ALOT and having a HT so young, I would of required 3-4 surgery's and exhaust my donor supply. OR I could of had a HT and have all the hair behind the transplanted hair disappear and look like a complete fool. Let alone having the finances at the time to do multiple procedures from a top clinic was not possible.
I am 28 now and finally the loss has stabilized. I agree with you about having hair at a young age and enjoying yourself, but you have to be smart and plan carefully.

Alright, give the kid a break. I'm pretty sure he has realized by now that he made a mistake. No need to throw salt on the wounds.
Relax.
It was just an opinion.

I've actually read this entire thread and had to make a comment.
I am in total agreement with spanker (among others) on this one. You can just tell the significant differences between a successful HT and one that is not.
When I made my decision to get a HT, I had two guidelines:
1. Go to the best doctor in the world based on case by case results
2. Be financially secure and having money to be not an issue
Why?
Because the whole process of a HT takes a toll on you emotionally, physically and mentally. I travelled to Ottawa twice (you all know who what doctor is) and wouldn't of done it any other way.
Just my 2 cents - You're 19 years old. Terrible mistake.
I just hope that it works out for you in the end. I really do.

How many grafts?
Doesn't look like what its suppose to be for 6 months.. (could be late bloomer though)
-
Cap thanks for the distance photo!
It looks really good!!!
-
Capelli.. do you have any pictures at a distance.. I want to see how it looks like.. a bit hard to tell from close ups. Been trying to ask for awhile now! Thanks dude!
-
I only see one picture.
Also, you need pictures from different view points.. can't tell anything right now.
-
I think I know what you mean but at the same time I can't help but think I should be reading between the lines on this one. What makes you think we don't have baldy's best interest in mind too?
I was turned down by H&W and I live in the same city. It was because of my age.
I got accepted by Rahal (mind you..few years later). In the above post they did say to come in person to get a better assessment.
So I guess it all depends on a number of factors..
-
I think 4000 grafts is pretty good considering his level of loss. It extends all the way to the midscalp and crown. The hairline was not just done.. Rahal went into the middle as well.
-
I see one picture from the back.
Any frontal shots?
-
Do you have pictures at a distance? Would really like to see a frontal and side shot!
Looking good cap!
-
I don't know if I'm seeing it correctly but to me this is an awesome result!
- A huge difference already from preop!

-
Hey!
So about 20% of my hair transplanted grafts remained and continued to grow..
Now the ones that are smaller are slowly still falling out when applying the rogaine.. I am at the 2.5 months mark post op. My ugly duckling phase wasn't all that bad compared to many others..
Is this the norm? Good or bad thing?
Thanks guys!

Neosporin on grafts? What? Never heard of that..
