  1. I started finest erode about 4 years ago and had amazing results for about 3 years. Over the last year and a half its lost is effectiveness . I'm looking to add in a low dosage of Dusteride. I live in Canada and attempted to buy some from a European online pharmacy. It was stopped at our boarder and not delivered. I'm wondering if anyone can provide me a reliable shipper preferably from inside Canada to have it sent to me.
  2. Thanks for the reply thehairupthere. i will definately consult my physician after the new years. as for the itchiness, it is definitely related to my hair loss and not something that a regular shampoo would effect. ive had it right from the time i started losing my hair and its always in the exact areas that im losing it. I dont feel like this is a regular shed, because I am seeing drastic miniaturization and hair loss in all parts of my scalp. As for fin not helping in the hair line, it actually worked great for me and i had absolutely zero loss in that area until this period...
  3. I had a 1600 Fut in March 2012 and started taking finesteride about a month previous to that. I went through a shedding faze and then at about the 3-4 month mark things started to turn arround and by about 6 months i was seeing great results. My hairloss had completely stopped and my hair had thickened up considerably. Once i got to about 7 months, i started to get that tingling feeling in my head again every once in a while.... the feeling u get when your losing your hair to mpd:mad:. It would only be occassionally so i didnt think to much about it. I`m not reaching the 9 month mark and things have really gone south the last two weeks. Im starting to lose hair at a fast pace and constantly get that tingly feeling in my head that i had when i was losing my hair. Ive upped my dosage from 1.25mg to 2.5mg daily for the past week and ahalf but it hasnt slowed things down at all. Does this mean fin isnt going to work for me, or should i stay on this increased dosage for a while to see if it works. also should i attempt to use rogaine, and hope that the combination of the two can fix things. i was using marijuana casually during the from the 3 month mark to about a week ago, but stopped after reading that it may increase dht levels. im really depressed and angry now and could really use some advice. thanks.
  4. thanks for the info bangs. guess ill just wait and be patient.
  5. no its just one or two spots that if i touch are quite sore. doesnt affect my daily routine, but im getting ready to have my first haircut and was concerned if this would cause alot of pain.
  6. can anyone explain the dramatic loss of late?
  7. my donor area is still quite sore and its 23 days post op. is this normal?
  8. I could not find any recent pics of the front third, but i can assure you that if you watched today you would notice a considerable negative difference in that area over the past few months aswell.
  9. Anyone see him today?? his hair has regressed substantially in the last few months. is this part of the natural progression of the ht or is it the result of poor work?? Google Image Result for http://www.offthepost.info/wp-content/uploads/Wayne-Rooney-hair-transplant-bald.png
  10. i think and hope your right levrais, thanks for the advice
  11. I went with Dr.Simmons out of Toronto. I must say that so far it has been a great experience. Dr.Simmons and his staff were very professional and helpful from start to finish. everything was very well organized and went smoothly. I origionally had some concerns that my ht was done too conservatively. I still feel like i would have liked my hairline lowered slightly more but im not nearly as concerned as i was a few days ago. I believe that the swelling in my head made it look alot worse than it actually was for a couple of days post op. So far the healing appears to be going quite well. Im one week post op and havent experienced any noticeable shedding yet. I had 1760 grafts done to my hairline, and because i do still have a desent head of hair most of the recipient area is covered up by my existing hair. Im 29.5 years old now and have been slowly losing my hair since i was about 16. It has been a slow gradual process aided by the fact that i had an extremely thick head of hair as a teenager. I swear every time i would go to get a haircut the barber would call all the other barbers over to see how thick my hair was..... lol the good old days. Anyways losing it at such a young age was very hard, especially because i was too embarassed to seek any advice from family members or my doctor. This is also the reason that i never started taking any meds until recently. All i was aware of previous to my consultation with dr.simmons was rogaine which i believed was only for the crown area. i am now taking finasteride daily and once things settle down from the ht i will begin taking rogaine aswell. I recommend dr.simmons too anyone seeking an ht. Im still in the early stages of my experience but i know dr. simmons is very highly regarded by this forum. While consulting with dr.simmons i also got the impression that everything he recommended for me was what he felt was in my best interest and not what was best for his business. I hope this helps out anyone considering an ht with Dr.Simmons and look forward to any feedback.
  12. great i will head out and get some asap. thx again.
  13. ok great, does baby oil have a similar effect? thx again for all the great advice. its nice to have this forum for information like this rather than bothering my doctor on his cell phone over this long weekend.
  14. ok great. any advice on not rubbing the recipient area if there arent any crusts to remove?
  15. thx alot for the advice dutch, much appreciated. another question i have is that im at the point now wear i will be able to start rubbing the recipient area to get the crusts off.... ive looked at the recipient area quite extensively and i dont see many crust just mostly small grafts and tine hairs, and i dont want to scrub off the grafts if there are no crusts to get off!!
  16. Hello everyone, im on day 7 since my 1760 fut ht. my recipient area and donor area are still relatively numb. this is especially true for my recipient area. is this common and if so how long does it generally take before i get sensation back in my recipient area? thanks in advance.
  17. thanks for the encouraging replies everyone. I will get my post op pics from my doctor and post them. I will add some preop pics to my profile. but they will just be pics that i had on fb, nothing focused just on my hair. anyways i think i should give it time to grow in and then make a decision. just to reiterate i have absolutely no problems with my docoter. he was was great throughout the entire procedure, i just think that he took a concervative approach in my best interest, but being someone a little bit younger i was hoping for something that would return me to my glory days or atleast something close to it i will post a few pics of myslef within the last 6-8 months. wearing a ton of hairspray and combed forward lol.
  18. i guess the plan was to save more for a later procedure do to my age..29. as someone with little experience with ht's when i saw the preop design i guess it looked a little more appealing than what i see now, which is only one day post op. i realize that i still have alot of doner left, and maybe the final result will look better. its just that this has been a very taxing experience, with getting time off work and spending a large ammount of money. guess my expectations were just a little too high. i was just wondering if anyone else had experienced a similar let down.
  19. put some pre ops on my profile
  20. i can dig up some pre ops, but dont have any post ops yet. will probably get some from my dr next week.
  21. just had my first HT 1760 grafts to my hairline. Im 29 1/2 years old. Have a really high receding hairline but because it still has desent thickness i have been able to cover it up by combing it in a caesar style haircut. anyways im one day post op and am looking at the new grafts, and they are still way too high. I Will have to contine to comb it the same way. my doctor was really great and is highly respected on this forum. i just feel like it is pointless for someone my age to have an ht if they are going to have the hairline of a 50 year old. I will be speaking to my doctor next week when i have my satures removed and speak to him about this. I Realise he is looking out for my best interests for the long term but i just feel like i would rather just shave my head then have a terrible hairline anways. my donor area is quite good and i feel like another 1000 grafts to my hairline would make it exceptable. just wondering if anyone else on here has experienced the same issues with there ht, and was looking for some advice.
