I think the reason for the attitude is that hair loss is seen as a natural effect of aging, rather than a condition to be treated among the population. And if someone expresses negative feelings about their hair loss the natural reaction is...."who cares, just shave it off!". I can see how they would think that way.

You need to take finasteride, sexual side effects are very uncommon. It's a big mistake.

By any chance, do you have any clearer before pics? The ones on your website were taken at an angle so not obvious how bad your loss was.

Simply, Hasson and Wong put out the most cases of very large transplants - called megasessions, search around this and other forums, and see the size of the HT's they do. 4k+ grafts is very common for them, and they have even gotten to 7k plus.

Dr Rahal is also similar to HW, and over the past few years his clinic has also started doing similarly large HT's as well. they have also shown many 4k+ cases on forums.

This is not to say that the surgeons you mentioned are not good surgeons, but I feel that HW and Rahal should be considered if you are going to need a large transplant, and in your case you'll need many grafts, hence the reason I'm bringing them up.

FYI, I have no relations to either clinic, and am a prospective patient with similar levels of hair loss!

In my opinion you should also consider the surgeons in Canada like Hasson and Wong and Rahal. They will be much more expensive than Dr Radha or Dr Humayun, but they are some of the best in the world especially at moving a lot of hair.

Also if or when you decide to get surgery, please keep a blog updating your progress....we see many patients who have surgery and dont post after pictures....leaving us wondering how it really turned out.

Dude, are you on finasteride? Judging by your before pics...your loss was not realyl that bad...

Nothing to do with diet. You have MPB and the only thing that will stop that is fin. Get proscar, as it is cheaper than propecia.

Honestly, I don't think it looks that terrible, take your meds, and see how you do....

You should definitely take minox esp if you shave your head. Another point is that since you've already shaved your head, you're really in no hurry, so just be patient for a year, see where you are and then you'll be able to draw conclusions.

You can even try getting on dut.

I doubt it, it takes like 6 months for transplanted hair to grow back, plus shock loss...and I doubt you're supposed to engage in athletic activity....so it couldnt have been recently. Maybe last summer.

Congrats, any photos on what your hair looked like grown out before? We'd get a clearer pic that way.

Raulbrammin, I think you should consider getting on finpecia as it is possible your sides could drop or even thin out in the future...with that said, I'm not sure how your hair loss is right now, havent seen many pics.

Try to get Proscar rather than propecia. Proscar is cheaper, although all doctors dont know about that. Search this site if you don't know what proscar is.

This also looks like a class A pattern as the front is almost totally bare, but the top is thin and sides are high. Can't be totally sure though.

How have you responded to fin? You should consider Dut if u've lost ground while on fin.
