  1. Hello everyone, It's been a while since I last posted anything. I wanted to know your thoughts about PRP treatment. 4 years ago, i went through FUE hair transplant surgery in Turkey and it was an absolute failure. In the meantime, I'm looking for something less invasive. Thank you,
  2. Yes, the team made the cutting for the grafts to take place. But why do you think that this is the most critical part? To me, the whole procedure is extremely delicate and critical
  3. I have just completed 3500 grafts with Dr Maral's Clinic. I did the transplant last Wednesday (1st) of october. I thought many times before taking the decision as my hairloss wasn't severe and my front hairline was dense but then i chose to go for it. I will leave the results for you guys to judge as I honestly don't have a benchmark other than the pictures I saw on this forum. so I can't personally judge the outcome. Having said that, the healing is progressing and I feel that the overall appearance is improving every day. As for my experience, they planned everything as they agreed with me via mail. They took care of all the logistics incl transportation, hotel booking (Hotel name was levent - clean and close to the clinic but not lavish). One of the positive things was that the staff was nice and friendly. And most importantly, the clinic looked clean and new. I met Dr Maral first, he investigated my hair and explained the results I should be expecting given that I have a very good donor area and my frontal line is good. He then did some marks on my head for his team to follow. Afterwards, I took 3 pills and his team gave me local anaesthesia & performed the whole operation (Dr Maral came and checked on me several times during the procedure). On the next day, I went again to the clinic and removed the bandages. The transplanted area didn't hurt but the donor area was hurting. I was advised by the clinic to take 3 medicines, Antibiotic, pain killer & something for the swelling for 3 days (They provided the medication). I stopped them 3 days after. I didn't experience any swelling (slept on a chair for the first 2 nights) but sleeping was very uncomfortable especially the first 3 days, pain was bearable but annoying during the first 3 days. After stopping the pain killer, I can still feel bearable annoying pain all over the donor area so i still take 1 pill of pain killer at night. I started washing my hair 4 days after the operation (as advised by the doctor). The redness vanished but the crusts and clots are still obvious.I'm trying to carefully massage the transplanted area to remove the clots without losing the grafts I believe my overall satisfaction will depend on the final results but so far I'm feeling okay and I would recommend Dr Maral's clinic to my friends who are looking for a good affordable HT clinic. NB: Sorry for the unprofessional images as i took them personally with my iphone, I will trying taking higher resolution images soon
  4. I'm not an expert but I don't think you should cancel. I was skeptical too because of the price compared to the others. but that was until I saw someone who did a HT at Maral's. I saw him 4 months after the operation and he looked really good. I asked him about the overall experience and he was actually satisfied. Having said that, i still haven't booked yet but I'm really considering to go for it in Oct. Good luck!
  5. Thank you very much Jimmy for your feedback. I will book with Dr Maral very soon
  6. I'm about to make a booking with Dr Maral, I searched the forum several times & according to my preliminary evaluation, I found many controversial reviews about almost all surgeons in Istanbul. Can anyone please share their experience with Dr Maral...Thank you
  7. I would appreciate it so much if you could share your experience with Dr Maral
  8. Can you please give me more details about Dr Wilson and share your experience
  9. I sent this photo to many doctors and somehow I got the same exact reply from 3 of them saying that I need 4000 grafts and the price per graft is 2 euros (FUE), is this okay? Advise needed please as i need to make up my mind asap. BTW, those Doctors were in turkey not NY
  10. Thank you so much guys for your guidance. Turkey is definitely closer to Egypt & sounds more reasonable. On a separate note, I'm just curious to know the average price range for grafts in a well reputable clinic in Turkey Vs NY. Having said that, I will never compromise quality for cost, but it might be a good idea to set one's expectations. Thanks a million for all who replied. Appreciated
  11. Hello everyone, I will be flying to New york from Cairo in a couple of weeks & I'm seriously considering undergoing FUE hair transplant. I have been contemplating this issue for more than 2 years now & to be honest. I'm still reluctant and hesitant. My main concerns are the following: I will be flying back to Egypt where medical care & experience in hair transplant is very little. I heard that I have to be on Proscar for atleast 1 year after the operation. And having read & discussed its side effects with many doctors, its a very controversial topic and this is a show stopper for me, knowing that I stopped Rogain a while ago for the same reasons ( I can't say I have experienced any side effects while taking Rogain though). Finally, I wear my hair short and I'm afraid that those tiny incisions are obvious. I know that there is wealth of experience in here, so I would appreciate it so much if you could direct or guide me by sharing your experience and opinion regarding the above concerns. Also, please recommend a surgeon in New york cause I might need to arrange for a visit in case I decided to carry one with the operation. Thank you,
  12. I sent my pics to few surgeons in Turkey but the replies I got sounded some how commercial. The recommended transplant was 3,000 grafts with an average cost of 2 euros per graft. I will never compromise the quality for cost. Yet, I need to get a glimpse on how reasonable this is when compared to other reputable surgeons in rest of europe or the states.

I will never compromise the quality and/or hygiene for cost but I need to get a glimpse on how reasonable their prices are compared to other reputable surgeons in Europe & the US

  18. Hi all.... Im 33 years old and i live in Egypt and i was wondering if anyone knows a good reputable surgeon in Egypt or Turkey, where I will be flying to next month.
  19. Can you please advice on the cost. I'm going to NY next Sunday and after the reviews I read, I'm considering this Artas. The only thing preventing me from doing the transplant till now is the post op propecia. Do I really have to take it after the surgery ?
  20. So whats the cost of Artas Compared to neograft if we are talking about 3000 grafts?
  21. Hi everyone...I just need to ask some questions regarding the appearance after the transplant. How obvious is the transplant post the operation, so that I can take a few days off from work. And will it ever look 100% normal if someone takes a close look? knowing that my condition is not severe Thank you
  22. Thanks for your reply.. I just need to ask you some questions: How long do you think I need to take off from work until the wounds (FUE) heal? Do I have to take propecia post the operation? cause I dont want to go for it due to its side effects ( might sound over-rated, but why take the risk). Thanks
  23. Hi everyone... I'm currently considering a hair transplant after all conventional medication failed to restore my hair. I have tried Rogain, Phyto 4 & Perfectil. That said, i think the condition is now stable and hair loss isn't increasing. I found many Drs in Egypt performing FUE. However, I need someone trustworthy. Any recommendations? Cheers..
