  1. Hi guys, Thanks for all the advice. I am definitely not thinning. I've always had fine hair. I'm going to try biotin and see if it makes a difference. I'll let you know the results! So, just to confirm, I should try biotin and then perhaps MSM. They do seem fairly cheap. Thanks again, Louis
  2. thanks very much for your reply. really useful. a hair transplant is a pretty drastic measure, i'll admit and i'm not that keen on it to be honest. the issue with toppik is that it really is a very short term solution. I swim a lot and I assume it would come off in the water. In addition, I am against the idea of wearing hairpieces etc and this would essentially just be an extension of that, no? have you heard anything about hair growth supplements - biotin, for example? are there any other options? thanks in advance. really appreciate it! Louis
  3. thanks. any other ideas? people are generally pretty skeptical of biotin according to the quick research i just did. and do you think this stuff actually works? i am against the idea of a hair piece/toppik (i think that's what it's called). thanks again
  4. hey there, this is probably not the right place to post this but I'd really appreciate any advice that you guys could give me?! I am a young male (20 years old). I am not thinning/balding and am not worried about this in the near future as the balding genes in my family are pretty good. Unfortunately I have fine hair and not much of it, however. I am pretty self conscious about it and it would improve my self confidence a lot if I could fine some sort of long-term solution. It seems to me there are two of these: 1) a hair transplant from the back of my head to other areas, including the side of the head to give my hair an overall thicker look. 2) take some sort of hair growth pills which might encourage thicker/fuller hair growth. What do you guys think? Thanks, Louis
  5. thanks for your replies guys. i don't particularly like the idea of toppik to be honest because it is completely superficial and I would rather have a long-term solution. The only two solutions that I can think of is 1) hair transplant 2) perhaps taking hair growth pills?? would they encourage thicker hair growth? what do you guys think? thanks in advance, Louis
  6. hi, i am a young male - 20 years old with very fine hair. I am not balding but would like to thicken up my hair a bit. Would it be possible to take hair from the back of my head and transplant that to the sides/top? Many thanks, Louis
  7. Hi everyone, I don't know if this is the right place to put this so sorry in advance if it isn't. I'm a young male (20) with relatively fine and and not that much, hair. I'm not balding/thinning and I'm not worried about this in the near future as the hair genes in my family are pretty good. I am looking into getting a hair transplant, however, as I would like to thicken up the rest of my hair so it looks normal. Would it be possible to take hair from the back of my head and use this to thicken up the rest of the head, including the sides? Many thanks in advance, Louis
