I will contact them tomorrow.. I did talk to my patient educator about 2 weeks ago about getting some of the larger grafts removed from my hairline that the previous doctor implanted that look very stalky but decided to get my hair cut since. I just wanted to get everyone's opinion about the width of the scar since it is a tricho closure and a-cell was also used.. I am very happy with the work that they did with camouflaging the larger grafts that my previous doctor implanted into my hairline area and further back.. It is definitely a improvement.. I will also post pictures of my hairline and the work that is 17 months post op with my Nikon Digital Camera..

I am 17 months post op and I am concerned about the width of my scar.. I went to the barber 4 days ago and I told him to cut my hair as short as possible without showing the scar from my hair transplant.. I have been very concerned since now the scar is visibly noticeable to myself and others.. For the past few days I have been hiding under my hat since the scar is visible to myself.. I am worried that someone may notice this.. I am just curious what that other members of this community think of this scar size.. Can this scar widen down the road in the future? I am hesitant to go to a plastic surgeon and get it revised due to the fact that my surgeon told me that I have an estimated 2,500 grafts left in the bank.. I think it would be foolish to though any hair away since I will loose more natural (native hair) down the road.. I really miss my short hair cuts though.. I guess at this point I have to tell the barber to leave my hair longer on the sides. My surgeon did use A-Cell/Tricho with the closure of the scar. I was also in the sun about 1 week ago and noticed that the the scar is slightly red.. I would think that I would be OK in the sun since it is 17 months post op.. I am going to post my hairline work done by Dr. Joseph Gallagher from the Gallagher Medical Institute as well.. Complete botched work! I would like to know how the best way to get these plugs removed- electrolysis or fue?! Doctor recommendations everybody! I had this work camouflaged about a year ago-but the large grafts are still highly visible..

Ok... Here is are plugs By Dr. Joseph Gallager from The Gallagher Medical Institute in Philadelphia, Pa.. This was enough to really make me look unnatural! There are 3,4,5 hair grafts on the hairline.. Also there are large grafts behind the hairline.. This was done in 2004 and 2007.. How do you explain this to a paitient when then look like this after paying $7,000 for follicular unit transplantion?! This is hack work! He claims that he was the best around?? This is complete shit work.. I went back to him "DR Gallagher and said want did you do to my head.. He said I wasn't done my treatment! He just put outdated plugs on my head.. WTF

I had the same problem.. I went to The Gallagher medical Institute in Philadelphia, Pa.. I feel your pain bro.. It is very upsetting when you have to look at those large grafts everyday in the mirror.. I am going to get the larger grafts fued or electrolysis.. Does electrolysis work on removing hairs from the hairline? I had number 3 and 4 hair grafts planted on my hairline by Dr Joseph Gallagher by The Gallagher Medical Institute in 2004 and 2007.. He is a complete hack.. I can't believe he is still in business.. I still suffer from depression almost everyday from what he did to my hair.. When I initially went in for the consultation he was on this forum.. The hair transplant network recommended him.. I went to the Shapiro Medical Institue to get the large grafts camouflaged-but they are still annoying the crap out of me every day.. I can't expess the regret and worry! It took a toll on me.. He is advertising that he does follicular unit transplantion and is STILL doing older plug hair transplants.. I definately need to get these large grafts removed.. My hairline is still very stalky even though I had my plugs camouflaged by Dr. Ron Shapiro of the Shapiro Medical Group.. My grafts are not angles right.. They go in the wrong direction from what Gallagher did to me.. He only has one helper in his office that cuts the grafts, answers the phone, talks to clients during the surgery, and this is going on during surgery.. I just don't know how you can run a hair transplant practice with one helper??! It amazes me.. I was 24 when I had my first hair transplant-I still regret it to this day.. I would'nt send my worst enemy into Dr. Joseph Gallagher's office to even talk to him.. He will lie right to your face about everything- and they don't even educate you about what your getting yourself inti with the future of hairloss.. On the next point my donor was taken at a very hi level from the back of my head that most Dosctor's don't take from.. So in the future I could loose most of my transplanted hairs... East Coast send me a private email! I would like to chat sometime in regards to your issues with Gallagher. I just have to say that I am happy with Shapiro's work..

I scheduled an appointment with my dermatolgist for Monday morning at noon... I will keep you guy's updated.. I am also on rogaine foam while taking fin.. I am thinking it may be from applying it on my scalp and hairline, and then working out at the gym after a sweaty workout.. Sweat usually gets all over my face after running on the treadmill.. I always wonder if rogaine foam is safe to have on your scalp & hairline while sweating and dripping all over your face??

I am on the 4th month on propecia and I have noticed that I have had some patchiness in my facial hair.. It looks like pencil eraser size bald spots on my neck.. Has anyone else experienced this while on propecia and will it go away while taking this pill later down the road? I was thinking about going to my dermatologist.. Any answers please!

Yeah, it was pretty crappy work.. Dr. Gallagher needs to be shut down.. There have been numerous people that had complained about his work on this site.. I will definately post more pics..

I had my surgery on the 7th of February, 2011 with The Shapiro Medical Group.. They did 2578 grafts.. Part of my old scar was excised out while SMG harvested more grafts. The strip was taken in two sections – 1 was 1.4cm width x 12.5cm length, 2nd was 1.2cm width x 16.5 cm length. Acell was used in the donor scar. Trichophytic closure was performed..

In 2002 I noticed that my hair was thinning in the frontal area of my hairline so I went crazy trying everything from propecia to rogaine to sawpalmetto.. Finally I came across a brochure of a Dr. in the Philadelphia area that does hair transplantation.. I stopped in his office and decided to have him do 2 hair transplants to my frontal area of my hairline.. What a big mistake! The results were very unnatural and unpleasing. The first and second procedures were done By Dr. Joseph Gallagher from the Gallagher Medical Institute.. I would not recommend him to anyone. He is still using outdated techniques to this day-which are plugs. He is misleading many people advertising that he is performing follicular transplantation. I stopped in his office and told him that I was unhappy with the results and wanted my money back.. He said "I can't do that." I can give you a free transplant.. I told him that I would never let him touch my head again! So I did my homework and decided to give The Shapiro Medical Group a shot since I did months and months of research to find the best clinic for me.. I talked to Matt Zupan and scheduled last February. Right now I am posting the 10 month period with I had my 3rd transplant.. What do you think of the results?
