  1. Well, I am now 3 weeks post op and I had about 2000 grafts to add density to existing hairs and lower the hairline. I am hopeful that the procedure gives a fantastic result. Waiting for the hair to grow is extremely hard and I am anxious about seeing the results.
  2. Thanks for the input guys! When do u think the hairs will start to regrow?
  3. I don't believe that this is true. Unless the drug is a time-release drug, it should be okay to split a tablet.
  4. Hey guys, I had an FUT done almost 2 weeks ago to lower the hairline and add some density. I had 2000 grafts. I heard that the transplanted hairs will start falling off within a month. Is this true for a majority of patients? I am 26 years old. If so, is there any way to keep the transplanted hairs from shedding? Thanks!!
  5. As you can see, I don't have a huge degree of hair loss and still have plenty of existing hair (both miniaturized AND strong hair). My goal is to add density to the thinning areas in the frontal area and restore a lower hairline. I just want to know if this can be done with a hair transplant without losing my existing STRONG hair. How are skilled surgeons able to work around my existing hairs when there is such little room available? Or would a hair transplant be better in a later stage of hairloss?
  6. How are the results looking so far from your doctor?
  7. What do you guys think of Dr. Meshkin in Newport Beach, CA?
  8. Thanks for the input. How many grafts would I need to gain density and lower hairline to maintain a natural look? I am not taking any medications. I have tried Nioxin for 3 months so far. Not sure if it is helping so far. I think I need to try it for a longer time to see results. I'm just concerned about the side effects for finasteride (low libido and low sperm count). My baldness is not as severe as others on this forum, but I would like to maintain a good look while I am still young instead of waiting until I am much more receded in the future.
  9. I started to recede when I was about 22. I don't think I am losing as much hair as before, but it is still noticeable. Heard propecia is the gold standard medication for hairloss. I'm just concerned about the side effects. I know I still have a full head of hair, but I'm just looking for more density and fullness in the front so I can style it better and have a better frame around my face.
  10. I'm New to this forum. I'm a 26 year old asian male with receded and thinning hairline. I would like to have thicker and denser hair in the front. Take a look at my photos. Do you think i would be a good candidate of hair transplant? One thing I am concerned about is shockloss when transplanting the new hairs next to my existing hairs. I have plenty of existing hair on my forehead, but they are miniaturized and thin. How will the surgeon create recipient sites around my existing hairs? I don't see much available space for them. I'm looking for more density in the front and maybe a lower hairline. Thanks!!
