  1. In my view - Not a waste of time when used with the other prescription, shampoo, conditioner and nutritional supplements. So that we all know - The Bosley Laser Comb is made by the same company that makes the Hairmax Lux 12 - it just has Bosley's name on it. I did the research before I bought mine 2 years ago. Rather than the Bosley version, I bought the Hairmax model for $130 USD less. For background, I've had two Transplants with 5600 grafts. Currently, I use Finisteride, Bosley Shampoo, Conditioner and Follicle Energizer (Amazon.com), Nioxin Thickening Gel, Biotin Supplement and the LaserComb. Hopefully, this will help you in your search for answers.
  2. I'm a patient, not a Dr. All views are my own, based on my personal experiences. Just completed my second surgery 10.10.2012 and I found that I could not cut the hair as short as I did with the first procedure. Like albundy, one side was stretched more than the other. The explanation is that where there was more "slack" in the scalp, there was less stretching involved. In my case, the left side is tight, the right side is stretched. I think we need to wait nearly a year before we know the truth.
  3. I'm taking 5000 mcg of Biotin per day, along with 1.25 mg of Finisteride. I found that the Biotin makes the hair grow more quickly. I've also seen the hair on my forehead, particularly around the hair line to regrow long-dormant follicles with white, then blond, then darker hair as it matures and stays. Been taking the Biotin for about 18 months.
