Definitely go for it. Once you start, you will learn a lot which will help you decide what to do. It really is easy.

Looks great!

London, Glad you have worked things out. I am sure things will turn out great for you. Sorry this thread took a few wrong turns. You have been very professional in all your posts on here. I wish you the best in achieving the final results you are looking for and it sounds like you have things worked out to get that done.

Definitely don't let location be a part of your decision. Traveling for the procedure is easy. Do tons of research and pick a top surgeon tha you feel the most comfortable with.

Don't be aggressive with your scabs. It helps to let the water soak on them a couple of minutes before you shampoo. Just keep following your instructions. They will come off.

Agree....it is something that if you can take without side effects can provide a big upside. I have been on it for 5 months with no side effects at all.

LondonHT, I did not download your photos. I hope that you are able to get what you want. It does seem like another pass will get you there. I do think some of the questions raised by Corvetster are good questions that have not been answered yet and the answers would be beneficial to the forum and to you as well.

I agree. Looking really good.

I agree that if the patient is doing something that the doctor advises against or which will by necessity require a second procedure for a decent outcome, that communication should be very clear to the patient and probably confirmed in writing to avoid misunderstandings like this if the doctor decides to go forward with it.

It really comes down to who you are most comfortable with. You need to do a lot of research and consult with several doctors. At your age you also need to have a long term plan for future hair loss. As long as you go with a top clinic you will get good advice and will be in good hands. I am not sure why, but you have nixed a couple of the top doctors already. I chose Dr. Ron Shapiro and I was very happy with the entire experience. I am sure you would find that with all of the top notch clinics which you can find on the is site. Good luck.

This is relatively normal. In my consults, there were various approaches. In some instances the doctors call you. In others you receive letters like yours. Some set up phone conferences with patient advisors. All of the top clinics will spend as much time as you need talking to you and answering your questions. In every instance, I believe that the doctor will speak to you if you arrange a time.

I should add that none of LondonHT's posts are critical of Dr. Feller and I think he has been professional in seeking opinions. I just think the thread took a wrong turn. At the end of the day I would like to see LondonHT get the results that he desires (and I agree that the results that he has are not what anyone would be satisfied with) and I hope he can work things out to his satisfaction. It sounds like Dr. Feller had a plan for him based on what he wanted done and he is one procedure away from achieving what he wants.

Well stated Spex. When one makes the decision to have a HT they have to realize that there are a lot of factors that go into the outcome, which you have set out well. While everyone wants "wow" results, those results are not the norm. I know when I was consulting, I asked about the need for more than one procedure, and while I hope I don't need one, everyone was very open, that sometimes more than one is needed. Optimal outcomes are more likely with top surgeons such as Dr. Feller, but as you say this is surgery and there are no sure things. People are way too quick to blame the doctors without knowing all of the facts. I sure hope this thread does not turn into one of those. That is why my first response was for him to consult and work with Dr. Feller. I understand why he is concerned, but that should not morph into a blame the doctor thread in my humble opinion.

Do you have any before photos? Were all of the grafts placed in the hairline? It does look thin to me, but without more info it is difficult to tell. As you know dr. Feller is highly regarded and I would recommend discussing your concerns directly with him.

Multiplier, I had a great experience at SMG. Everyone there is great. You are in good hands.
-
Very nice.....especially considering the extensive hair loss when he started!

Dr. Lindsey, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I agree. You have been on the propecia long enough to see results. Results vary and may simply be that it has slowed/stabilized your hair loss. Adding minox may well help as it is my understanding the combination of propecia/minox is better than either alone. So, like aaron1234 said keep up the meds. You should start doing serious research on HT and consult with several top surgeons which you can find here.

Looks great. Your hairline looks very natural and combined with the impact of the meds on your native hair this is a really nice improvement. Congrats!
-
Agree.......you have to be the one that is comfortable with your choice in the end.

I recommend researching and consulting with several clinics that you find recommended here. After you consult with some of the top clinics, then the decision really comes down to who you are the most comfortable with. As long as you go with one of the top clinics you will be in good hands. There are definitely some great doctors in the northeast, but I would not let geography factor into your decision. I ended up traveling from Orlando to Minneapolis, and the travel was a non issue with getting the procedure done.

Congratulations......heal well.....you will feel much better when the staples come out.

thanks aaron1234......hopefully I will do just as well with the growing
