  1. Yes, Troy did some great price research &I will be ordering the secretagogue online from now on and save$$$. What is your age Once Shaggy? Cos if yer under 50 this is a great route to go, effective and affordable (compared to injectable HGH, which is around $240/mo).
  2. WOW, great post with great nutrients to help your scalp heal after your HT...& prep your head for the shock & awe of a HT. These same nutrients will keep you living a healthy, happy lifestyle as u ride into the future! NIce job, nice research!
  3. I'm taking 260 mg AM & 260 mg PM. Helps my focus & short term memory as well it seems, plus definitely firming the face muscles. Great books to read about all these supplements is anything by Dr. Nicholas Perricone. I also endorse Suzanne Sommer's "Ageless" & "Breakthrough", they really dig into the details of all nutriceuticals that are potentially beneficial to a natural anti-aging, healthy lifestyle, including diet & exercise. IMO... How u been, Rhino?
  4. Yes, I started seeing fine lines diminish within one month around eyes, and deeper wrinkles on forehead reduced dramatically within 3 months. This is probably due to the skin's rehydration. Another nice thing was the firming of the jowls/neck that occurred within 6 months or so. I augmented my facial tone/firming with DMAE supplements, which also benefits the brain. I read that HGH maximizes the properties of whatever supplements you are taking since your metabolism is more efficient. Of particular interest is the fact that after about 2 months I developed a royal sense of calmness, even in the face of stress or adversity; problems simply become something you reason through, diligently searching for a solution instead of becoming overwhelmed by the problem/circumstance at hand. My anxiety was greatly reduced. May I ask your age? You will find HGH phenomenal as an anti-aging protocol.
  5. Cool deal, where is Dr. Alexander located? Regarding cycling the HGH, take one packet at bedtime on an EMPTY stomach with 1 mg. melatonin (to aid in sleep), take one packet immediately upon arising (on on empty stomach). Do this for 5 days, then take two days off. Take for 6 weeks with 2 days off each week, then cycle off for TWO FULL WEEKS. This resting phase is VERY IMPORTANT. Then begin your on cycle again. If you begin your ON cycle now, you will have three weeks under your belt BEFORE your HT and three weeks AFTER your HT before your resting phase. You should see excellent results with your healing (and in the gym when you start working out again). Hope this helps!
  6. Good for you, Dogg! You obviously did your research before embarking on your HGH therapy. R U injecting & if so, how many IU's/day? What is your injection schedule like? I hope u r under a physician's guidance, getting regular blood panel work done to monitor your progress. R u also doing HRT w/test & DHEA? Depends on your blood panel levels if u need to or not. I would recommend taking melatonin(another hormone available at ANY health food store) before bedtime to aid in unbelievable sleep, which will also increase your endogenous HGH secretion while u sleep. I personally (at the advice from an old HGH pro) take 1.5 mg of melatonin right before bedtime with a packet of AGELESS secretagogue mixed in water to produce my own optimal amount of endogenous HGH while I sleep; I inject 1 IU in the morning upon arising so I get TWO beneficial dosages of HGH/day. I started this regimen 3 m onths ago & my body composition has changed dramatically; fat melting away and lean muscle mass appearing before my eyes! I am getting totally ripped w/six pack abs...remember I am 57 years old. Stay with it, Dogg, and remember 1/2 your results are DIET (especially if u r resistance training). MY BEST WISHES TO YOU!
  7. Howdy Troy, no I do not buy from Nutrition Express but if u like their products then see if they have a HGH secretagogue with a "somatostatin inhibitor" in the formula; this will short circuit the feedback loop that shut downs HGH production by the pituitary gland after HGH is released. HGH secretagogues is how i would address your HGH needs at your age. I feel injections would be unnecessary for you. Boost your own endogenous production instead using secretagogues cos they DO WORK! (at a fraction of the cost). My results so far have been awesome & I am chronicalling them in this forum under "Members experience using HGH with a HT". Very informative IMO. Sorry your Dad is listening to Pink & Gag-a...sounds like a mid-life crisis, not low-T (tho I believe low_T triggers midlife crisis in men, along with lower hormonal levels as a whole). I would now avoid any weight lifting supplements that might be cardiovascular risks as u don't need high BP going into your HT, Troy. Who is doing your HT and where do you live, my friend?
  8. Troy, I like your style! If you are prepared to invest $10,000 in a HT, why not invest an additional $200 in nutriceuticals to ensure maximum positive results from your HT procedure? You, my friend, get it! To clarify - take whatever Vit E is in your multi-vitamin, but no more, BEFORE the HT. Afterwards, supplement with 200 mg or so in addition to your multi vite. PRE-OP & POST-OP- Take vit C, whey protein, Carnosine, and HEALTHY fats (like nuts). I forgot to mention a juice I have taken for 5 years now: GOJI juice. Get a high quality, potent juice from YOUNG LIVING.com. Too many benefits to mention, but drink 2 ounces a day, AM & PM, before & after HT, for the rest of your life! Helps keep your hormones balanced and optimized for your age (amongst other amazing health benefits, like enhanced healing powers). Regarding HGH supplementation, at your age your levels are fine for everyday living. However, for this procedure, you might consider purchasing HGH secretagogues to boost your pituitary gland's output of HGH naturally. An excellent brand is AGELESS & is available at Vitamin Shoppe.com if there isn't a store in your area. I would start taking it immediately and continue until you are satisfied with your HT progress. I know a lot of guys at my gym take HGH secretagogues (as do I) and they are gaining muscle mass and stripping abdominal fat away as well. Secretagogues contain stacks of amino acids and vits that stimulate your pituitary to produce enhanced levels of endogenous HGH while you sleep, which is the body's natural production cycle. If you do go this route, I can give you some awesome tips to maximize your benefits from utilizing these secretagogues. I know from my own personal HT experience that increased levels of HGH definitely improve both the quality and speed of your recovery from this procedure. If you do utilize these secretagogues, the first thing you will notice is that your hair and nails start growing RAPIDLY...and your sleep will improve, which leads to even more HGH production (since that's when most of your body's natural production of HGH occurs). PLEASE do your own research regarding the nutriceuticals I am mentioning & make your own best decisions for yourself. These are POWERFUL natural supplements and I have benefitted immensely from taking them, but again I wish to stress that these are MY RESULTS, and every individual is unique.
  9. Troy, I like everything on your list from MSM down. I don't know enough about the pharmaceuticals to give an intelligent, informed opinion and will defer to those who use these products. I am glad to hear your mother is doing well after her chemotherapy ...why were the Omega3's given to her? Troy, I would add that you want to reduce inflammation as much as possible after your HT to hasten your healing and reduce your discomfort and itching (both inflammatory responses to trauma). Curcumin, resveratrol and the amino acid CARNOSINE are powerful anti-inflammatory agents that I utilized post HT. CO q-10 does wonders for cellular energy mobilization as well, obviously helpful when healing. How old are you sir? If in your twenties, thirties, forties your hormonal levels should support your healing processes nicely.
  10. Hello Troy, I will share my personal preparations before my HT; feel free to criticize/adopt any suggestions I make. Discontinue any Omega3 fish oils, curcumin, resveratrol or any blood thinning agent you are using at least one week before surgery to avoid excessive bleeding. Start taking a good natural(non-synthetic) multiple-vitamin and MINERAL supplement immediately to Marshall your body's innate healing abilities going into your HT. the minerals are very important to your healing processes (like copper and zinc). back off extra vitamin E one week prior as well (bleeding issues with too much vit E). Vit C helps with shock and trauma, good for fighting infection post-op as well. Take the homeopathic remedy called ARNICA MONTANA 3 days prior to your HT to help reduce swelling/bruising (believe me, you'll need it!). Continue with it until your swelling dissipates. Post-op is when you want to really strengthen your healing powers; continue your multiple-vitamin, C & E, start taking Omega 3 fish oils at this time (helps get your blood supply to your scalp by thinning and oxidizing your blood). Eat plenty of protein and healthy fats (like nuts) so your body can heal itself. Drink lots of water, stay hydrated. And best wishes to you!
  11. Thanks for the props Johnny B, I hope my experiences with HGH/HT will serve to illuminate/educate anyone who is interested in a topic with seemingly little openness or info about it. My HGH dosage does increase my test levels to a normal range for a 35 year old man (I am 57 ) but I can honestly state that any resulting increase in DHT has not been the reason for my HT as I was thinning BEFORE I began my HGH protocol; in fact the HGH has thickened my hair shafts and increased density over my entire scalp, even in the frontal portion of my scalp where I had my HT. The increase of hairs were not enough to satisfy me, however, hence the decision for the HT. My experience is that the effects of the HGH on my hair growth have overwhelmed any deleterious effects of DHT (if any). I wish to stress that my experience with my HGH protocol is uniquely mine and I am NOT advocating nor discouraging anyone from investigating hormone replacement for themselves any more than I would advocate or discourage anyone from investigating having a HT...these are personal decisions we are all free to make for our own benefit. And we are all intelligent adults, nest pas?
  12. DAY 31 POST HT: Well, I guess the big story is the number of pimples suddenly appearing in my hairline; have popped 3 in the past 36 hours. Treating with warm shower and then soaking with warm wash cloth...pimples easily burst with rich red flow of blood following (obviously indicates good, adequate blood supply to my scalp ). I have counted 3 new pimples in my left temple recipient area this morning and one more in my hair in the middle front where they transplanted some grafts to thicken that thinning area. No problems with infection after popping . Eyebrows - a few new blonde hairs have sprouted on each side and the new hairs from a few days ago are darkening a bit and definitely growing out. I have had to trim a couple as they look awkward until more surrounding hairs grow in to fill out the eyebrows. I had my first haircut since HT on Friday and my stylist didn't notice the donor strip until I pointed it out and then she commented that it was barely discernible when brought to her attention! She said she has seen many HT clients and my progress has been "remarkable" considering it was only Day 29 post HT when she saw me. She also noticed many smaller hairs on my recipient area. I am now 2 days into my "resting week" from my HGH injections and am looking forward to observing my HT progress during this resting week.
  13. Thanks for the quick response and sorry to hear Bosley gave you the "there's ONE born every minute...and TWO to take him" approach to your poor outcome. How long ago was your botched HT performed? And what city? And I'm unclear if you've had a subsequent HT done yet?
  14. WOW! Sorry to hear the ole Bosley botched up your HT. May I ask what city underperformed your HT? Mine was done in Denver & am happy so far...curious if Denver has bad issues I haven't read about.
  15. Hi, I had my recent HT performed 29 days ago at Denver Bosley (Greenwood Village location) & am quite happy with my results to date. I felt Dr. Tonia Pauls did a great job and the "graft installers" were professional & experienced for sure. Lunch sucked, but small thing to quibble about I suppose. They answered all my q's prior to my actual day of HT and I ran into some guys at my follow up who were also doing follow ups and they too were quite satisfied with their results. I know Dr. Harris is very proficient as well. You CAN get Bosley down to $4.25/ graft from their initial asking price of $5.99/graft. That makes a HUGE difference in cost. I have a thread chronicling my HT results under Q&A under "Member Results using HGH during HT" if you want to get my blow by blow experiences after my HT at Bosley. GOOD LUCK with your final decision, I think u will do well either place.
  16. DAY 26 POST HT : I believe I have extraordinary progress to report regarding my recent HT/eyebrow procedure. Tonight my wife counted the new single hairs sprouting on my right inner eyebrow for a total of 25! These are immature, thin blonde hairs for the most part, but the ones that sprouted several days ago have since thickened and darkened to a brown color. The left inner eyebrow boasts 20 new hairs as well. My wife estimates about ten new hairs on each outer eyebrow as well, for a total of 35 new hairs on the right eyebrow out of 150 grafts (or 23% initial growth) and 30 new hairs on the left eyebrow out of 150 (or 20% initial growth). I wish to stress that these are NEW HAIRS sprouting as my eyebrows completely shed 7-10 days ago. I am astonished, to say the least. My hairline recipient area has shown more robust sprouting the past two days as well, with a couple of painful pimples that subside revealing several 2,3,4 follicle hairs emerging the next day. These are thin, immature blonde hairs for the most part but some darker brown ones are sprouting as well. I have tried to take close-up photos with my crummy digital camera but I was told by a friend that I need a camera with a "macro" setting to obtain a very tight, detailed picture of the thin eyebrow hairs. I will buy such a camera ASAP and post my proof of these observations. I am obviously stunned by this sudden growth that I was told by my Doc to expect in 3-4 months! I off-cycle the HGH this Saturday for a week (the "resting week"); it will be interesting to see if the hair growth subsides next week. I have been on my replacement dosage since before the beginning of my HT procedure.
  17. DAY 23 POST HT: Donor area healing nicely with NO PAIN, just some itching occasionally. EYEBROWS - noticed a few new single hairs on both inner eyebrows today in addition to the other ones that grew out during the past week. My inner eyebrows were the most sparse pre-HT and it's looking hopeful that I will have nice full eyebrows again. My outer eyebrows are also sprouting noticeable new hairs the past few days as well. Each eyebrow received 150 grafts during my HT procedure. HAIRLINE HT- all shedding has now stopped leaving some original grafts which continue to grow. The past few days the sudden appearance of new hairs resembling beard stubble has emerged at the widows peak portion of my frontal hairline, where I was particularly thin. The appearance of small pimples in this area as well. It is also noteworthy that the grafts in my temples are beginning to sprout giving my once thinning temples a darker more definable appearance, even though these are stubble in length so far. Recipient area becoming less numb with some itching still. Cheers all!
  18. Cheers Rhino, awesome post, thanks for the info on your HT experiences. Really sorry to hear the first HT went badly since that involves so many disappointments. if you feel like sharing, was it the result of a less than skilled surgeon? I know what you mean by having a numbskull as my donor area was numb but is now coming back online and I feel like I need to itch it all the time as the feeling returns bit by bit. I guess that means I'm healing. My shedding seems to have slowed down to an unnoticeable level now and the remaining hairs seem to be staying put. My eyebrows are definitely sprouting new single follicle hairs on both the inner and outer edges of both eyebrows after having shed completely on the inner brows. The recipient area has lost all discoloration now and looks the same color as my forehead. This is day 17 post-op.
  19. I thought as much, since you said European clinics are convenient. Do they have Bosley Hair Centers in the UK? I live in Denver, CO , USA and there are only two doc's that do HT in our city of 2,000,000 peeps, talk about a captive audience if you don't want to travel to have the procedure performed! I paid $9,000 for 2300 grafts total between eyebrows, temples and hairline. Bosley came down from $5.99/ graft to $4.25/ graft with 300 grafts at $3 each. I assume HT's are pricey in the UK? Sure are here and they're not covered under our "new" Obamacare ripoff. LOL
  20. Hey Balboa and Joey, thanks for the good words, much appreciated. Rhino's cool, just down on HGH I surmise. So I just watched "Duece Bigalow: Male Gigolo", and Duece's girlfriend with one leg works in a hair transplant clinic and removes the donor strip with ....a CHISEL!!! Funny as hell, my wife and I about pissed ourselves laffing so hard! Can u imagine, a chisel....and you should have seen the hypodermic needle ( about a foot long) that the doc sunk in the middle of the patient's forehead to numb him up! Good stuff, reminded me of my experience at Bosley...JK...they should have shown that flick during the procedure instead of Anchorman! I'll post photos but will need my wife's help with the camera to really zoom in tight, so be patient. I tried Googling HGH and HT and got zippo, nada, so was hoping this forum might yield some info, but so far I've only met some good people without any experience with HGH and HT results, but it's all good. Still need to know if it's customary to shed hairs while still sprouting new hairs? just curious good peeps...
  21. "I can't believe you are writing back to back diatribes without anyone even responding. While HGH might result in increased hair growth, there are certainly a fair amount of reports that claim otherwise, as well as reports claiming that you could grow hair in undesirable places." A 'diatribe' hardly describes my posts, and your response didn't answer my question about other HT recipients' experience with shedding/hair growth after a HT either. Rhino, have you had a HT? If so, I would appreciate a cogent response to my question; I bet others on this Forum would learn from such a relevant response from you as well. You seem a font of information, thank you!
  22. On Wednesday (day 12) I noticed some shedding, however I also noticed more new hairs sprouting as well. is this par for the course? - anyone ? I would appreciate any feedback. Thanks!
  23. Yeah, the GraftCyte was helpful cos it contains "copper peptides" which heals wounds, burns, etc plus it moisturizes and relieves the itching from the inflammation. The Zyflomend is great stuff, this kind of adjunct therapy really makes a huge difference in healing and positive results down the road. Our bodies are VERY RECEPTIVE to natural foods and supplements, almost always without negative side effects, unlike drug therapies, which our bodies struggle with. How many grafts r u going to do, Balboa?
  24. Hi Balboa, my HT doc gave me oral steroids and recommended the homeopathic Arnica Montana which greatly aids In the reduction/prevention of swelling, bruising after any physical trauma. Taking any anti-inflammatory natural supplement will aid in the healing process which should also reduce scarring. I read one doc's post here who stated vitamin E topical cream helps the recipient areas to heal. I personally used the natural supplements Co Q-10, alpha lipoid acid, DMAE and carnosine before and after my own HT procedure, adding curcumin and Omega-3 fish oils AFTER the HT as they are both potent blood thinners, and you don't want excessive bleeding during your HT procedure. The aforementioned supplements possess excellent anti-inflammatory properties which aids in healing and scar reduction, in addition to lowering blood pressure and cholesterol levels. Have fun researching this valuable topic, you are on the right track Balboa!
