  1. ill try that shampoo then, i have not tried finasteride yet wouldnt know how to begin to ask the doc for it, my hair loss is only slight though and i see new growth in the front with minox foam
  2. my hairloss at the moment is very minimal but i have seen slight loss over the years, anyway as i have hair at the moment would it b better if i shaved my head for the medication to penetrate to the shafts better without some getting clogged in the surrounding hair?
  3. just shower before you go in this ensures normal watyer is absorbed into the scalp
  4. ive been on the foam for around 3 months and have only had light growth in the front, its all good though i can see thicker hairs that wernt there before, recently had a short hair cut and it looks great
  5. i am using both of the above and was just wondering should i use each one of them at different times? eg foam every day and the alpecin just 3 times a week? i dont want to be wasting my money if the two products cancel eachother out what is your advice?
  6. thanks for reply guys, so would it make my hair go thinner or would it just be relatively the same? need to cover slight grey
  7. I have a decent head of hair im 27 but have noticed im going slightly grey around the sides, this is something i am not freaked out about as it can be easily disguised...however i am using minox foam and alpecin caffeine shampoo as MPB is in the family especially my mothers side and my dad went thin around 35, all i have is a slight M forehead surrounded by alot of thick hair Would coloring my hair weaken the hair follicles and ruin the hard work the minoxidil foam and the alpecin has already done? thanks for your time
  8. hmmmm i echo the above post once you take minoxidil its for life as everyone knows all results will diminish within 12 months of stopping..... im only using minox once a day alongside alpecin caffeine shampoo im not going bald im just maintaining as my dad went thin around 35..im 27 now.... only a M shape hairline which i cover up very easily due to me having lot of hair be careful when ordering unknown brands, better the devil you know
  9. excellent mate, btw dont be shy in sharing the girlfreind lol
  10. topical minoixidil made me itch like crazy and made my scalp sore and im sure i lost some hair because of that i am now on rogaine foam and alpecin caffeine shampoo, and i have noticed hair gone alot thicker, im so sorry about your story man switch to the foam you will thank me for it also... DONT vigorously towel dry hair if you do use hair dryer DONT use the heat setting for the middle of your scalp, only the DHT resistent sides... just few tips, good luck, maybe put some pics up?
  11. im using minox foam and that caffeine shampoo forgot its name now got it from boots begins with an A are these tow combined a good partnership? i only have very slight thinning, im 27
  12. mate you had the same sort of hair line that mine is progressing to, just ive used the foam and it has kept it at bay for now.. god how ilong for a straight hairline
  13. hi im nearly 27 got goodish head of hair however when i lift the mirror up high onto another mirror i notice it is getting thin at the front and i dont want to end up with a balding front... thhe other areas are great and thick i did use monox solution but switched to rogaine foam and it doesnt irritate me at all but this finasteride that people recommend does scare the hell out of me, maybe the slight thinning im having is the shedding phase from the minoxidil but i certainly do not want to have another shedding phase on top of the monox shedding.... im really confused.. i have the finasteride here
  14. im 26 now and im holding fire on any HT for a while, if i see decline il bite the bullet
  15. great results.. id keep with it until say 30s then get the corners filled in as chances are future hairloss may be really small in the 30's
  16. cheers joe, yes im nit touching finasteride heard too many horror stories and excuse my language but im a lad who enjoys a woman lol so finasterides a no no for now anyway the foam is very good where are your foam pictures freind
  17. going against using finasteride for now until i see alot of hair loss, im really scared i will just shed and never regrow
  18. i dont bat for the other side (lol) but i reckon girls well like that look on you, but good luck to you whatever you do decide, check back with some results mate after a few months/year on the above medications
  19. tbh sammy the pictures you have given us id say you were not going to see any loss for a considerable time, to me it looks like the pattern has fully developed how old are you friend?
  20. i am forever comparing hairlines im a bugger for it having a HT in front now would look great FOR NOW however you have to take into account any further loss that may occur would you really want a immaculate hair line but thinning on top........ good luck but concentrate more on stabalising for now
  21. have used this for about three weeks now, and have noticed blond hairs popping up in thhe hairline area where i have naturally receeded with age, is this a sign of growth form the foam?
  22. you can help your loss by doing simple things eg no vigorous towel drying on hair (back and sides are fine!) just gently pat dry the top no blow drying, zinc vitamins are good iv heard, you will gain a lot of knowledge coming on here
  23. alright mate cheers for update i am on rogaine foam 5% minoxidil and it gives my hair thicker appearence and im noticing slight blonde hairs coming back to hairline im 26 my hairline same as yours so i know how you feel
  24. thank you very much for your reply much appreciated and noted! im 26 now so its always best to catch it when i have reasonable amount of hair still present, i was on topical minoxidil but that made me really itchy (i had the shedding phase with this) now i am on the foam which is so much better for me when i first joined this forum all i thought about was HT HT HT HT now im much more open to all sorts of other treatments. i understand this is a lifetime commitment and i am grateful for this website and the good advice i have been given so can i be prescribed finesteride through this website? thank you once again
