  1. I started using toppik about 2-3 weeks after my surgery. My post op instructions said it was ok to use it but to always wash it out before I went to bed. But my question is will the toppik inhibit hair growth by clogging the follicles? It binds to the hair, but some of it does get on the scalp.
  2. that wait does suck. And yes I appear thinner too. I don't even want to take any pictures for my journal.
  3. Thanks, right now I'm in the middle of the worst period. Tomorrow will be exactly 6 weeks since surgery. Should I be seeing black dots all over that look like blackheads? I see a few here and there but not many
  4. Jo, Here is a better shot of what I'm talking about. The scar is very wide here unlike the other parts. I don't think there's any hair growing through the redness, what do you think?
  5. Jo, There is also some redness and maybe a pimple in the affected area. All other parts of the scar are healing well. I don't understand why this area has suddenly become inflamed. But how can you tell if it's shock loss or scar stretching? I assume scar stretching cannot reverse. I e-mailed these photos to Dr. Wong. Candace replied and asked for clearer pics.
  6. thanks for the reply. Your scar looks pretty wide to me, I'd be upset with the outcome of that but everyone's different. I just have one area that seems a lot wider than the rest of the scar so maybe that's why its so noticable. I wonder if I should apply rogaine?
  7. Just as I was thinking I may have an undetectable scar I noticed this, a big hole with redness. Is this shock loss or stretching? sorry for pic quality
  8. Does anyone know when this will dissipate? I have two lines close together. I think it's from the staples. If it would go away, my scar could be more or less undetectable.
  9. C Looks pretty good. You had quite a bit of hair to begin with, but it looks like you have a lot more now. I was a patient of Dr. Wong too, but it's only a month post opt, so I look like hell. razor
  10. I was just wondering if anyone out there had any spare hair that they could donate to me while I go through this awful phase? Any amount would be greatly appreciated:D
  11. I have a few pimples in the crown area and am starting to develop some towards the front. Will this impact the new growth negatively? Is it safe to put acne medication on them or should I just leave them alone?
  12. I have a professional position. I cannot wear a hat at work. Besides wearing a hat only draws more attention to the issue. If I did wear one, they'd think why is this guy wearing a hat? Did he have a hair transplant? Now they probably think I just have lice or very bad dandruff. Fortunately there's no redness, just scabs.
  13. I am completely and totally relaxed. Im just here for feedback like everyone else.
  14. My hair is a mess. For the past three days I have been faithfully soaking the graphs and applying vitamin e oil. The whole top of my head feels scaly. yuck Co workers must think I have lice. My head is starting to look spotty also, hair here and there, but not everywhere. I hope this is all normal.
  15. Does this look about normal for Day 12? I know everyone heals differently but was just looking for some feedback. thanks
  16. How do I link the website to Dr. Wong's page?
  17. Here is my day 7 photograph. I should of taken it in natural light, but it was too late in the day. Everything seems ok, but those staples hurt like hell. I'm going to make a blog about this experience but am just feelin a bit lazy right now.
  18. I would like to start using rogaine as soon as possible, but my post op instructions say I should wait two weeks. It's been about 7 days since my procedure and there are quite a few other drs that say you can start after 7 days. Any opinions?
  19. Hi Aman, Where did you get your vitamin e oil? Thanks
  20. Today I went into to see Dr. Wong for my shampoo. He was a bit concerned about the swelling, some pimples and the blob of liquid that's slowly moving down my fore head towards my eyes. He recommended I stay until Friday, and offered to put me up at the Sheraton Wed and Thurs nite. I am really grateful he did this because it cost me $168 to change my airline ticket to Friday. Fortunately I don't have to be back at work until next Monday. But now I'm wondering..... This has really been a rough experience, and especially so because Im alone. As a suggestion to anyone considering having this procedure done, bring a friend or family member
  21. Slept ok last night, not great. I propped myself up on three pillows. I have a friend who swares that sleeping upright the first couple nights help. Have quite a bit of pain in the back of the head, but I guess it's normal. Head still swollen.
  22. My head's seems swollen on the sides around the donor area, that why I look so funky Is this normal? Could it be a hemtaoma? I just read a thread about swelling in the donor area, so i'm a little worried
  23. Is there anything I can do to help minimize the scar size? I heard your should sleep upright for the first week, but some people say that's not necessary. thanks!
