hey gryphon, i ve heard some horror stories about "overseas surgery" if youre looking for reasonable prices, consider dr. ochs, he charges 2 dollars a graft and is well qualified, although he is not a member inthis site. I just had a 1600 graft procedure there, and have no complaints. i can see all the grafts poking thru my scalp, its a great feeling! Also, in other countries there is less regulation of medical malpractice which is scary. For 3000 dollars i had 1600 grafts, and saved a lot of money, plus los angeles is a great town to visit. cheers.

Dude youre lucky youre not me (norwood 5ish) it looks great. it seems to me that the rest of your native hair is coarse, which is a real plus!when the grafts all sprout its going to look good because of youre hair caliber. its all a matter of time now for a great looking noggin.\ cheers

Congrats man. I feel your pain, i m also a norwood 6.Ive had 3 surgeries and i remember that i started growing in the first 3 mos. The good news is that at month 12 i was still sprouting new hair!!. i think you are well on your way, just be a little patient the hair is there, but itll take months to come to fruition. so far it looks like youre right o n track.

i just had a surgery less than a week ago. Dr. ochs treated me really well. The surgery went smooth(i was to receive 1600 grafts, he gave me and extra 200) also, i hate pain, it is the one reasons i hate transplants, @ dr. ochs office I didnt feel i thing. The staff is courteous,well coordinated, and works well as a team. I have to say that his credentials are impressive as well (he did residency at Oakland Hospital near my home) this is a very intense hospital, to make it thorough there would be a challenge.I would recommend him highly. i will be having another round there as well. hOPE THIS helps. Thanks to all of you. I lost my post op directions when i flew back in from LA.I found them this morning! Dr. Ochs says its ok to use johnsons baby shampoo and aloe vera. Besides this little problem, i am very happy. its so good to see those little sprouts of hair coming out of my dome, cant wait for final results in a year! cheers.

Does anyone have any idea if its ok to use head and shoulders shampoo 3 days after ht. i ve been using it, but i hear the grafts may grow thinner . is this true?

Hey, just curious, how long does a strip surgery of 1600 grafts take? Mine took about 5 1/2 hours, is this too long or too short for 1600 grafts?

DOEs anybody know when it would be right to get another hair transplant, i just had mine last friday with Dr. Ochs in beverly hills. I feel good, no problems. I am eager to schedule another session in 6 months, is this a good time frame? Any advice would do. thanks

Thanks guys, I have been using a bit of aloe vera on the recipient and the donor area.Needless to say that i think i had about 4 grafts come of because i thought it was a dry scab,so i scrachted and the graft was there. It freaked me out. so now i will keep my hands away fro m my head.
