  1. Dear Future HT Doc, Thanks for the offer. I didn't mean to "bump" into any threads. All I wanted to do is share my experience because I received incorrect information about Dr. Barusco after I specifically asked about him at the place he used to work. That's all. I am not going to start a new thread because I don't have the time to blog frequently. My paycheck comes from the airline I work for, therefore I need to dedicate my time to them. All I wanted to do was inform people that are looking for a quality, experienced doctor that Dr. Barusco is still practicing. That's all. I will post pictures when my hairs are all grown in. I just had my procedure 2 months ago. Take care.
  2. Bill, I appreciate your response. I recently had a hair transplant procedure with Dr. Barusco and wanted to share my experience with the readers of the blog. I fly for a living and do not want to be posting all the time, but I was highly recommended to him by a friend of mine who had surgery with him and had amazing results. I checked his reputation and he has been in the industry for a long time and is very well known and very experienced. He just recently opened his private practice, where I had my procedure, and I was so well treated that I felt I needed to let everyone know. You may contact him if you want. If you google his name you will easily find his contact information. I have no interest in this other than I feel that good people and good doctors need to be recognized. I see so many horror stories here that I wanted to point out that there is another quality doctor in Florida, just outside of Orlando, in Port Orange. My transplants are not grown yet so I have no pictures to post of my results. I don't plan on putting posts and messages every day, but once everything is grown in, I will send you some pictures.
  3. Broker & Lucky7, I get my pacycheck from the ariline I fly for, so I really don't have any interest in posting here other than sharing my experience with you guys. Besides, I can't be blogging all the time, but I wanted to tell you my experience. I agree that you should talk to the doctor who is going to be doing the procedure for you. I went to my doctor after talking to my friend, who had an amazing experience and result from him, so I already felt comfortable with his work. When I went to Dr. Barusco's office for the initial consultation, I met with a previous patient who took me through an educational presentation, not a medical consultation and for sure not a sales pitch. He never recommended that I did or did not do anything. Doctor Barusco came in after the presentation and spent almost 45 minuts with me, examining my scalp, discussing what I wanted and educating me on my options and expectations. That made me feel really comfortable with him and his staff. Good luck on your research.

  5. Pat, Have you ever done any research on Dr. Barusco? I would love to know what your thoughts on Dr Barusco's work are. I wonder why he is not on the list of doctors you recommend.
  6. I had my procedure done with Dr Barusco on August 2010. I only have great things to say about him. But I truly believe you have to do your own research and be comfortable with the doc you choose. Dr Barusco left MHR after it was bought out by Bosley and is in Port Orange, FL now. Google his name and you find his clinic.
  7. I fly for living and was skeptical to do anything about my hairloss until I saw the results that a friend of mine had with his hair transplant performed by Dr. Barusco about a year ago. I had my sx on August 30th with Dr Barusco even after I went to MHR (now Bosley) and was told that Dr. Barusco was no longer performing surgeries. He is in Port Orange, FL. Do your research on the doctors and good luck on your decision.
  8. Hi, there! I had my procedure done with Dr. Barusco on August 30th, 2010. 2990 grafts. You would not be in better hands. Go for it. FYI Dr. Barusco is no longer with MHR that now is Bosley. He is on his own in Port Orange, FL. Google his name and you will find him. If you want to talk to me about it email me at lockmoura@gmail.com.
  9. Hi, Lucky7! I fly for living so you can say that it is easier for me to tell you to come to Florida. However, if I were you I would consider it. One of my buddies had hair transplant with Dr Barusco a little over a year ago. His results are amazing. When I saw him, I just knew I had to see Dr. Barusco. I went to Maitland, MHR, where my friend had his sx done. MHR is now Bosley and I was told by Dan that he was no longer in the business. I was able to locate Dr. Barusco who has never left the business and is in Port Orange, FL www.tempushair.com I had my sx on August 30th, 2990 grafts. Feel free to email me if you want more info about the procedure lockmoura@gmail.com I will post my pics when my hair growns.
