I think in recent topics and threads FUT is referred to as cutting or slicing strips of donor from the back of the head for arguments sake as against FUE follicular unit extraction (one by one) as against FUT dissection of the strip. A strip was cut from the back of my head on 3 occasions referred to as FUT by all surgeons and while at the same time using micro/mini and slit grafts as the donor action.

Depends how good the technicians are I guess, thankfully my technicians were excellent. My results have been extraordinary. FUE in my experience wins Hans down

Yes personal choice and the fue v fue argument is exhausted. The real hidden issue is price which is what is worrying USA FUT clinics and moderators on this forum.

A resounding NO, my previous FUT were state of the art look where that got me:-).....and more to point it would cost 3-4 x more to achieve anything near the result I have gotten from my clinic. The smoothness of FUE and all it entails and results to me, far supersedes FUT

I dont actually know as Im not a surgeon but I even would question the above, My best results came from FUE, without question.

Well well well... Seems like FUT is drowning.......some great scaremongering there Blake..keep it coming...who'd have though it... Giant linear scars are better than FUE... thats without the deep sutures, removal of stitches, the pain, the ever disheartening visual aspect scaring and of old outdated FUT :eek:. the damage caused to donor area and potential grafts while being cut through with a blade the full length of the scare top and bottom. With FUT you can "microscopically dissect them into perfect follicular unit grafts" hahahhahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, Im choking... and finish up with dolls hair just like me and still after 3 FUT and corrective surgery by FUT, still remains dolls punching 4,5,6 hairs from one graft, great keep that FUT going, love it..... of course much of this depends upon the surgeon and clinic as with FUE, painless, no meat slicing here....... perfect extraction, perfect transplanting and perfect results if a good clinic is found and used with great technicians led by an excellent surgeon.... and folks, they are out there, you just need to look! You are welcome to write your book on the subject if you like :-)....but the end results are what count... and my results were amazing with FUE I'm sorry but a picture paints a thousand words....If anyone is thinking of HT look at FUE and forget Picasso linear scars created from the artists FUT surgeons. But then what do I know I've only had 3 FUT and two FUE's and I can say from experience that I would NEVER have had FUT and never would have chosen FUT if FUE had been available then. No scarring, no stitches, no endless worry about my scar showing, no loss of grafts due to top and bottom cuts. Thank God we don't see Strip IN turkey because FUT is outdated and barbaric at the least, as for cost, Ive experienced a 80% reduction in the cost of my surgeries in Turkey and 3-4 times the results, thank you. I never believed in UK HT surgery and still dont generally, but I did once believe in USA HT surgery, but not anymore especially with the advent of FUE and the great results from Turkey. I doubt it will be an issue, and, I think SMP will cover the scar in future if you decide. I will decide on SMP later....For me, all good so far, will upload some updated photos soon of my current progress! Good Luck...

I agree with that... who ever said I was bright anyway? :-) if you read my history you will see I became desperate, for no good reason....paranoia as this was my first FUE and having bad results from my past FUT I was anxious...so hence SMP :eek: I think...a lesson for all... 'be patient'! :-) still, Campbells post should be removed as he broke evey ethical code in the book including using my personal name....

Did you mean everything' but a smooth life' or 'nothing but a smoot'h life?... Dr Maral is also a plastic surgeon, so you could always discuss this scar with him ..:-) I'm sure the HT will be successful and wish you well.... post updates please

Hello, This is my donor after 3 FUT's scars extend from one temple to the other, surgeons were not conservative, they removed enough strips, large strips but they did not add any density to my recipient area of any value justify using of this strips. None of the surgeons who operated and those who gave advice never said I my scalp or that i was a poor candidate, they all said great lets get on with it....giving me encouragement and hope that the FUT's would be a success... I think because of my reduced donors and the appearance of my scar caused by the surgeons though, I had been depleted of donors and the others rejected me for further surgery. Cant be sure but... seems like it. FUT Verses FUE, I think I know from my experience which I prefer. (If a picture paints a thousand words)! Of course those considering FUT with nightmarish scars are more than welcome to go for it.... Zeiring gave me no hope or confidence and never offered me FUE, as did several others, welcome once again to some of the Surgeons that find their way or are in to UK... and for sure NO microscopic analysis, but then what should I have known? We're in the hands of these surgeons to give good advice, I've had much advice, most stating that I was on a bad road for further HT. FUT, well, I had enough scaring in any event and so FUT or not, I am 1000% times happier to have had FUE instead, recovery time is better and easier with FUE without leaving the terrible scarring and unknown effects of the scars. In fact I did have a good idea of who and what might be achieved as I had a lot of communication and did a lot of research with Maral, but I agree, as I had nothing much left to lose, given several consultations prior to choosing Maral and a good price was offered, after the research I made, I concluded that it was my best option. ON reflection, that choice was perfect and the results are far better than even I imagined they could be.... I could have chosen another FUT surgeon and given my very limited success to date of FUT surgery gone through more scars, more long term healing more unknown results, shooting in the dark with different FUT surgeons with once again limited donor success and paid 5 x the price for the pleasure....but now of course I'm waiting for the results of my 2nd FUE from last week....and I'm extremely optimistic, although the eggs have not hatched yet :-) UK is a much tougher place to find good surgeons, USA has a huge HT industry, but expensive, Turkey seems to be a great mid range trip and appear to have several good surgeons and clinics and good prices. Call it destiny, or what you will but I believe that my choice was the correct one.... and I always like Cash in me Bank:-) and through it all, I'm merely trying to get to a place where I wanted to be a long time ago especially repairing the nightmarish surgeries I have had.

I discovered at check in at Luton, that we needed to have purchased an online visa, we had not done this, however, we did manage to get one at Ataturk airport, but I am advised that this service will stop and all must be done online... My friend had to pay 150 eu fine as he only had 5 months left of his passport, and run around like a lunatic including getting documents from police, you MUST have 6 months minimum, another rip off from governments, but just be warned. Dont leave it to chance. I spent 2 hours waiting at baggage for my friend to be processed, the rest after he came though customs was no problem. We missed the driver, and called Marals driver with a number I had and he was happy to return to collect us, but in order to save everyone's efforts as we were very late after our arrival we took a cab to the hotel costing about 70tL - no biggy.

My opinion if you want it is that Maral Klinik gave me a new opportunity to have a very acceptable head of hair NW6, when others wrote me off....I've just come back form a 2nd FUE from Maral Istanbul... check my thread. Best of luck

Ziering was one of the Surgeons that told me I had no hope of further procedures....then I found Maral.... and strangely enough Maral found 6500 grafts and more to come....:-) I have ZERO confidence in UK HT surgeons.... Maybe Farjo is good but way out of most peoples price range

Hello, That's great and thanks, Its was also extremely difficult for me to choose a clinic, but after much research and consideration I chose Maral, somehow it just felt right to go his way, strange how several doctors during my recent research actually said I was a lost cause for FUT and FUE further procedures because of my early FUT HT's, and that I did not have enough donor grafts and they actually said, if I had more density on the donor area it might be possible to do further HT work, as have others on this forum. Yet, Maral and his technicians seems to have found more than enough grafts given my age and class of hair loss and much needed repair work, many know my history on here and how difficult it has been to find the results I hoped for. I am very happy as of to date and thank all contributing members for their support and encouragement. I also cannot wait for the next few months to pass by, however, I must enjoy each day as it comes. I think the next few months will inspire me further and for sure, my extra new confidence makes me feel whole again.

Hello, If these are questions I will answer them. 1. Correct 2. Correct and even several other FUT surgeons told me that I would not be suitable for further HT. 3. Don't quite understand your question here, but, Technicians removed my grafts and the donor hair has grown fantastically well as you can see. Maral was on hand all the time and visited the surgery frequently and continued discussions with all concerned. 4. Yes, I have had a 2nd FUE few days back and they gathered a further 2700 grafts. Possible another 1000 more available, but this will depend on consultation. So in total I have received about 6300 grafts from the already depleted donor area since FUT. as you know the scars were not nice, and still I will consider MSP or HT for cosmetic camouflage of the Scars. I don't recommend FUT anymore as its outdated by 15+ years I think, however I am not a Dr 5. Why? I've waited the best part of 20+ years to find a clinic who can be honest and provide me with successful results. Maral Klinik has actually exceeded themselves at this. Collection to and from Airports and the team were just wonderful :-) I met one guy who managed to save 30,000 USD by coming from US to Maral. The procedures are very affordable. Good luck to all those who are considering a HT, I will update as things progress, thank you all for the support. You can't imagine how happy I feel regarding the success of Maral Klinks work!

Hi, Oh no keep the thread, for sure the clinic was a dirty little hole, have you seen it?....and I want everyone to know what a charlatan this David Campbell actually is...and the most objectionable thing was for this worm David Campbell to breach confidentiality and Data Protection. Apart from that he can say what he thinks, however, the very fact that he should have known about data protection and confidentiality, and that he is a professional and I'm not, I'm a layman and client, is the reason his entire thread I believe should be removed. Then he can once again answer the real questions of 'Why his operation and procedure completely and utterly failed'. Who is he working for now, and where is he plying his unethical practice now, perhaps he can let us ALL know, so we can all avoid him? He can call me what he likes without using my real name, but the fact that he used my real name in public and broke data protection rules I believe he has lost his privilege to keep this post of his, which should be removed...and THEN after that let him provide a rebuttal...now that's fair. But lets just remind you all what this WORM did or did not do to my head.....when he knew I had just recently had an FUE.
